Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 665: Chapter 678: Missing Instructor Mu?

But now that she thinks about it, she really has to thank An Sijia. If An Sijia hadn’t exposed her scandal with Ye Sheng, she wouldn’t have met Mu Xingfeng, nor would Sun Xuehui have forced her to flee the house, leading her to save Mu Xingfeng once again.

When she thinks about it, her fate with the instructor is really deep.

Thinking of Mu Xingfeng, An Ran let out a long sigh, ”Xiao Xiao, I think you should really reconsider marrying a soldier. To be honest, they are just too busy.”

”What’s up? Missing Instructor Mu?” Xiao Xiao teased.

An Ran nodded, ”I haven’t seen him for two weeks now. During this time, we only exchanged three messages and had one phone call.”

The life of a soldier has too many uncontrollable aspects, especially during missions, when connecting with the outside world is even more rare.

An Ran didn’t expect that training would be this strict even during usual times.

During these two weeks, she would send Mu Xingfeng one or two messages every day, updating him on her daily life. This was the reporting task Mu Xingfeng had left for her before he departed.

Who knew that after she sent the messages, each one seemed to vanish into thin air. Finally, when he did reply, it was just a few words. When she replied back, there would be no further response.

Last week, he gave her a call, but it only lasted a few minutes.

She never knew missing someone could be so torturous. Every moment, she’d fantasize about what he was doing, whether he was thinking about her.

This feeling made her desperately want to see him, hear his voice, bury herself in his embrace, and listen to his strong heartbeat, feeling his presence real and close.

An Ran opened the door dispiritedly. The room had a faint scent of mint, which was Mu Xingfeng’s usual fragrance.

Seeing her lack of enthusiasm, Xiao Xiao suggested, ”Ranran, since Instructor Mu can’t come to the city, why don’t you go to the Guard Team to find him? Lin Junyang replied to my message today; maybe they’ll have some time off this weekend.”

”Yeah,” An Ran’s eyes immediately brightened, ”Instructor Mu messaged me today. They just got back from field training, and because he had to do a summary report, he couldn’t return to the city. But they’ll definitely have a day off today. Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go to the Guard Team.”

With that, An Ran pulled Xiao Xiao along as she headed out the door.

”Ranran, why are you dragging me to the Guard Team? I should go back to school.”

Xiao Xiao protested as An Ran dragged her along.

”Come on, I’ll let you experience the charm of the Nan’an Guard Team. Besides, you haven’t seen Brother Yang for two weeks either, don’t you want to see him?”

Although many in the Guard Team knew about her relationship with Mu Xingfeng, An Ran still couldn’t bring herself to go there alone to find him.

She hadn’t forgotten the curious and teasing looks the guards gave her the first time they saw her. Even a giant panda wouldn’t get that much attention.

So, no matter what, she had to drag Xiao Xiao along this time.

Xiao Xiao, unaware that her best friend had already sold her out between her boyfriend and herself, pouted and said, ”I don’t want to see him. But it’s fine to go around the Guard Team. Last time during military training, I felt that the Nan’an Guard Team was huge, but we couldn’t roam around then. With the captain’s wife here, can I wander all over the Guard Team now?”

”Of course,” An Ran confidently replied, putting her arm around Xiao Xiao’s shoulder and swaggering towards the gate.
