Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 679: Chapter 692: Are You Stupid?

”Why are you running so fast? Be careful not to hurt your wound again,” Xiao Xiao frowned and reminded Lin Junyang as he hopped in.

Lin Junyang waved his hand nonchalantly. Seeing the stir-fry and stews on the stove, and several half-prepared dishes, his eyebrows furrowed as well, ”Why did you cook so much? How much can four people even eat? Are you dumb?”

Xiao Xiao: ”...”

She just wanted to ask if she could escape the Guard Team compound tonight if she smashed the pot over this man’s head.

”Alright, no need to stir-fry this. Let’s eat,” Lin Junyang said, turning off the gas stove.

Xiao Xiao: ”...”

Now, she just wanted to smash that clay pot on his head.

Xiao Xiao indeed made a lot of dishes. Her and An Ran’s greatest hobby was eating, especially exploring and experimenting with culinary delights.

Xiao Xiao didn’t eat much at the cafeteria at noon. When she got to the market, her eyes lit up and she accidentally bought too much.

Since she bought too much, she couldn’t let it go to waste and unknowingly made a huge table of food.

To take care of the injured Lin Junyang, she only made two spicy dishes.

Lin Junyang’s home didn’t have a dining table, so all the dishes were laid out on the coffee table. The few of them sat on cushions placed on the floor.

Lin Junyang had already been drooling from the smell of chili peppers in the wok. He grabbed his chopsticks and went straight for the spicy chicken shreds, but before he reached the plate, another pair of chopsticks appeared from the side and with a ”snap” knocked his chopsticks away.

”You have wounds, you can’t eat spicy food.”

”Xiao Xiao, can’t you just mind your own business?”

”I made the food, of course I have to care.”

”Damn, as if I care.”

”If you don’t care, then don’t eat at all?”

”I...” Lin Junyang pointed his chopsticks at Xiao Xiao in anger, ”I just have to eat, this is my home.”

An Ran looked speechlessly at the two bickering, not knowing how they got through the afternoon.

Mu Xingfeng acted as if he heard nothing, picked up a piece of chicken and put it in An Ran’s bowl, ”Eat more, regain your strength.”

An Ran choked on that piece of meat: Instructor Mu, I’m still innocent, I really don’t understand what you mean by regaining strength.

Mu Xingfeng saw her blushing, a contented smile curled his lips, this girl was still so fun to tease.

Watching the two in an intense argument, he reached out and pulled all the spicy dishes in front of him, eating with gusto.

In the end, Lin Junyang had to watch tearfully as Mu Xingfeng claimed the two spicy dishes he had been drooling over, resigning himself to eat other dishes.

However, after just one bite, he forgot all about those two spicy dishes.

Most people in the Guard Team preferred heavy flavors and liked spicy food. The main reason was the Guard Team’s bland meals, but Xiao Xiao’s dishes were aromatic, flavorful, and colorful, so the spiciness didn’t matter at all.

The next day, as dawn broke, the spring sunlight invigorated the training ground, lighting up circle after circle.

Groups of soldiers had already started a new round of intense training, their chants rising and falling.

Mu Xingfeng strode toward the training ground with Lin Junyang following closely behind.

”I told you, you can rest today. Your injuries aren’t suitable for further training.”

”Yes, Sir,” Lin Junyang saluted before jogging to catch up, ”Boss, it’s boring to stay in the dorm. I’ll just watch from the training ground. Plus, as the leader of the third squad, I have to oversee the training progress of the entire squad.”

Mu Xingfeng stopped, looking him up and down, ”I think it might be time to replace the squad leader.”

”Huh? Boss, what do you mean? I’ve been diligent and hardworking, even if I haven’t achieved great merits, I’ve put in a lot of effort. You can’t just replace me!”

Lin Junyang chased after him, and suddenly, someone jumped out from the side.
