Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 313: Chapter 326: Have We Met Somewhere Before?

”Thanks, brother-in-law,” An Ran took the glasses and put them on. She noticed Shen Wenxuan was staring at her, and even through the sunglasses, she could feel his scrutinizing gaze.

Before An Ran could respond, Shen Wenxuan continued, ”Ran, have we met somewhere before?”

If it were someone else, An Ran would think it was a typical cheesy pick-up line from a man. But this was Shen Wenxuan. The love this man had for Mu Wanxin was something she had felt the moment she saw him at the airport. His eyes were filled with honey-like sweetness when he looked at women, even as an onlooker, she could feel cavities forming.

”I don’t think so,” An Ran recalled. Although she had trouble with faces, a man as prominent and distinguished as Shen Wenxuan should leave some impression, right?

”Is your hometown in C Province?” Shen Wenxuan asked again.

”Yes, Pingxi City in C Province,” An Ran answered honestly.

C Province, Pingxi? Shen Wenxuan was sure he had never been there, yet he felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity with An Ran, as if he had seen her somewhere.

Not far away, Feng Jingjing watched the two of them. Her eyes carried waves of emotions, flickering with a trace of something unusual.

”Look, they’re coming down.”

Someone shouted, and An Ran looked up. Shadows were rapidly descending the slope, led by a tall figure in a black and white ski suit, wearing cool ski goggles — it was Mu Xingfeng.

”Go, Mu Xingfeng!”

An Ran put her hands around her mouth, acting as a megaphone, and shouted loudly towards the mountain.

”What a silly bumpkin, there’s no way the person up there can hear that.”

Someone muttered softly, but due to An Ran’s status, they could only pout their lips.

Feng Jingjing curled her lips and glanced at that person before coming to An Ran’s side. ”Young Master Mu’s skiing skills are the best among this group. He’ll definitely take first place. Ran, be ready with your kissy face.”

She finished her sentence with a chuckle, covering her mouth.

Feng Jingjing was Mu Wanxin’s best friend and they had dined together before. This chat with An Ran felt more like a conversation between old friends.

Shen Wenxuan also smiled and looked at An Ran upon hearing Feng Jingjing’s words, his eyes as gentle as a spring breeze in March.

Despite An Ran’s confident words just now, being teased by others made her a little embarrassed, turning the tips of her ears red. But hearing the praise for Mu Xingfeng, she felt very happy inside.

”Really? But I see someone in a red suit right behind him, keeping up closely.”

An Ran kept her eyes on the slope. A person in a red ski suit was following closely behind Mu Xingfeng, almost side by side.

”Oh, really? Isn’t that Lin Ruonan? She’s really showing her strength today,” Feng Jingjing said with apparent delight.

An Ran frowned slightly. She hadn’t noticed Lin Ruonan when they were changing earlier. It was only through Feng Jingjing’s words that she realized it was Lin Ruonan.

”Let me tell you, Ran. Lin Ruonan may be a girl, but in my impression, no one besides Mu Xingfeng has ever beaten her. Whether it’s skiing, horseback riding, or shooting, in all the games these people get involved in, Mu Xingfeng is always first, and Lin Ruonan is right behind him. No wonder people in the circle used to pair them together. Such a woman, probably only Mu Xingfeng can handle her.”

Feng Jingjing gestured animatedly while speaking, completely missing the change in An Ran’s expression.
