Reborn Divine Doctor: The Abandoned Girl's Legend

Chapter 1445: Chapter 505: The New Demon Road

”In the region guarded by the Golden Horn Demon King in the Central Plains, there is no news of the Taixu Tomb Realm. I suspect that the Taixu Tomb Realm might be hidden under the jurisdiction of Demon King Tongtian. The Golden Horn Demon King passed a message that in a few months, Demon King Tongtian will celebrate a grand birthday, and all the powers of the Demon World will attend. I’m afraid this banquet is anything but ordinary.”

Compared to the Jiu Provinces Hunting, Zhan Hen is more worried about whether Demon King Tongtian will have any secret dealings with Beiyu Palace.

This news also stirred Moonflower deeply.

”In that case, we must disrupt this banquet.”

”I’ve already instructed Golden Horn to attend, and to adapt to the circumstances. If there are any findings, he will report immediately.”

Zhan Hen said darkly.

”What about the Human Clan, do you plan to just watch them slaughter the Demon Clan in the Central Plains? Zhan Hen, are you like those old people, concerned about this Marquis Zhongyuan?”

Queen Xiyuan was indignant.

If not for the previously established alliance preventing any action from the Demon Ancestor above the Demon King Level, she would have already exterminated those Humans.

Privately, Moonflower disdained any alliance with Marquis Zhongyuan.

After all, unlike the Empress Dowager Chi, she had not witnessed the Heavenly Fire blazing in the past.

She only knew that Marquis Zhongyuan had vanished without a trace for hundreds of years.

”Of course not, but with the mother and son of the Chi Family holding back their forces, if we act first and Marquis Zhongyuan indeed intervenes, it will be me and South Nether City that suffer. I have come up with a complete strategy.”

Zhan Hen took out a map.

Moonflower looked at it; it was the map of Ancient Nine Provinces.

”This is a map of the outer edge of the Central Plains, very far from the Central Plains. What are you going to do with this map?”

Moonflower felt puzzled.

”Do you remember that before dispatching Shadow Concubine and others to enter Shui City, I mentioned building some secret Demon Roads in the Ancient Nine Provinces? Due to the unforeseen death of Shadow Concubine, this Demon Road was forced to halt. I plan to have it rebuilt. Once this Demon Road is opened, it can bypass the core of the Central Plains, reach the edges, and ultimately penetrate into the ten Super Cities of the Ancient Nine Provinces in one move.”

Zhan Hen is ambitious.

Attacking Newbie City was just the first step in his plan.

Although Xi Jiuye (actually Ye Lingyue and others) unexpectedly appeared, forcing his plan to be aborted.

But Shadow Concubine and Jade Bone Demon, among others, did not return empty-handed; they sent back many useful Human Realm maps and military supplies information from various places.

After careful analysis of these documents, Zhan Hen made significant discoveries.

In these hundreds of years, reliant on the lingering influence of Marquis Zhongyuan, the Human Clan Demon Hunters of the Ancient Nine Provinces have been hunting demons frantically.

But they have limited the scope of hunting to the Central Plains.

In the domain of the Ancient Nine Provinces, the Jiu Provinces Alliance, relying on the lingering influence of Marquis Zhongyuan, assumed the Demon Clan would not dare to invade, thus becoming lax in defense.

Moonflower concentrated on the map, her eyes growing brighter as she read.

She realized that the location chosen by Zhan Hen for excavating the new Demon Road was perfect.

Firstly, since it is on the outer edge of the Central Plains, there are not many heavy weapons guards, only a few weaker teams stationed there.

Moreover, there are no cities in that area, not even a regular army; it counts as a defended vacancy.

Secondly, though these places are not strategic points, they are critical supplies and medical supply warehouses for the representative teams of the Central Plains, which the Human Clan calls logistical supply areas.

If the Demon Clan catches them off guard and seizes these regions, it would throttle the Human Realm core region’s Demon Hunters’ lifeline.

If they can tamper with food, water, and medicine supplies, then surely the Human Clan will suffer heavy casualties this time.

Moreover, because it’s merely a logistical supply area, the Demon Clan wouldn’t need to mobilize a massive army; they could simply infiltrate with some Great Demons or even Sky Demon level demons. This way, the alliance contract won’t be violated, yet objectives can be achieved.

”This idea is excellent, so what are we waiting for? Without delay, send people there at once.”

Queen Xiyuan was overjoyed to hear this.

”There is only one difficulty with the plan. Look on the map...”

Zhan Hen pointed to the map, his finger landing on a mountain.

The mountain had a peculiar shape; from a distance, it resembled a pair of human hands with fingers cut off. The nine peaks connect, making it striking on the map.

Below the mountains, marked ”Jiunie”

”Jiunie Mountain? Could it be...”

Queen Xiyuan mused, looking at the name curiously.

Zhan Hen nodded, and Queen Xiyuan’s expression grew more serious.

”This area happens to be under the jurisdiction of that clan. However, thankfully, their nature is arrogant and indifferent, not interfering with human and demon affairs. As long as we bypass those mountains, it will be fine.”

Hearing this, Moonflower’s expression softened.

”If that’s the case, proceed according to plan. In this Jiu Provinces Hunting, we must ensure those Human Demon Hunters won’t return.”

The claws of the Demon World quietly penetrate the heart of the Human Realm, yet the Demon Hunters within the core region of the Jiu Provinces Hunting remain blissfully unaware.

On to the Huangquan Team, where Ye Lingyue and others, after leaving Xuanwu City, traveled westwards. Only after a few days did they arrive at their mission location within the territory of Fang Ah County.

All around were loess hills, planted densely with pine trees.

Fang Ah is a county with a long history, nearly a thousand years old in the Ancient Nine Provinces.

The northwest region is a major producer of sorghum, so it is chosen as a logistical supply area for the Jiu Provinces Alliance.

As they neared Fang Ah County, they saw vast fields of tall, sturdy sorghum, swaying beautifully in the wind.

Fang Ah County is far from the Central Plains, seemingly tranquil, especially compared to the crisis-laden Central Plains.

The Huangquan Team members were disappointed and lamented having no opportunities to showcase their heroism.

”Everyone, don’t be discouraged. Although we’re assigned to the periphery with fewer chances for merit, any accomplishment can be a stepping stone to reassignment to the Central Plains. Within half a year, a mere few months perhaps, we’ll have our opportunity.”

Ye Lingyue’s words offered the team some reassurance.

Upon entering Fang Ah County and inquiring with locals, they learned of the county government establishment and a County Magistrate, after which Huangquan Team headed straight for the county government.

However, when they reached the county government, the County Magistrate, upon seeing Ye Lingyue and hearing her explanation, merely waved impatiently.

”You’re the Huangquan Team, correct? Our county’s public security is excellent, no demons causing trouble. Only the Northern Granary of the county is unguarded; your job will be to guard it.”

With a few words, the County Magistrate dismissed Ye Lingyue and her team.
