Reborn Divine Doctor: The Abandoned Girl's Legend

Chapter 1147: Chapter 207: The Enviable Demon Empress

”No, I absolutely cannot become a Demon Pig. I beg you, please save me. You must have a way to save me, right?”

Hong Mingyue realized that this Shadow Concubine’s abilities might be no less than the Ghost Valley Moth.

She disregarded her dignity, kneeling to plead with Shadow Concubine.

After all, the Ghost Valley Moth was just a demon that had escaped to the Qing Province Continent.

If ordinary methods couldn’t work against the Ghost Valley Moth, perhaps using demonic methods would.

Hong Mingyue, now on the Qing Province Continent, was already notorious. She exhausted all her wits, even willing to become a slave, just to start over.

She still dreamed of making a name for herself in the Ancient Nine Provinces, becoming someone above others, and regaining everything she lost.

But the appearance of the Ghost Valley Moth had destroyed it all.

”You do have some eye power. I do indeed have a way to help you. But to be honest with you, both the Ghost Valley Moth and I are just Great Demons. He, too, must have encountered some fortuitous event to hide inside you. To remove her, relying on my power alone isn’t enough. He is currently in a dormant state, which is why I can communicate freely with you. To truly eliminate him, unless you are willing to submit under our Demon King’s banner and accomplish great deeds. Once you achieve great deeds, the Demon King will bestow upon you a true Demon Embryo. Then, you will become a real Great Demon, and the Ghost Valley Moth within you will have no place to settle.”

The Demon Clan values bloodline.

Although the lineage of the Ghost Valley Moth is of Great Demon descent, due to residing in humans for many years and being away from the Demon World for a long time, the bloodline has become mixed, and the demonic power is quite ordinary.

If not for the Ghost Valley Moth obtaining the Demon Clan’s flesh and blood earlier, after the previous heavy injury, the Ghost Valley Moth would have already perished.

But even so, in the eyes of a pureblood Demon Clan like Shadow Concubine, the status of Ghost Valley Moth is still very low.

Once Hong Mingyue possesses a more Advanced Demon Embryo, it signifies a more advanced demon bloodline, indeed having the opportunity to directly devour the Ghost Valley Moth.

The Demon King whom Shadow Concubine serves is plotting a significant affair.

He needs a large number of people, and demons like Shadow Concubine that can infiltrate human cities undetected are the minority.

So the Demon King issued an order, having Shadow Concubine and others try to recruit and assimilate some humans.

Earlier, Shadow Concubine also absorbed a few down-and-out Martial Artists from the Human Clan, but none had the strength or talent as Hong Mingyue.

He saw potential in Hong Mingyue.

This woman, although human, acts with more cruelty than a demon.

Demons particularly admire such people.

Hong Mingyue hesitated.

But then, her gaze fell on her own stomach.

That scar-like Demon Mark pricked her eye.

If she didn’t get rid of the Ghost Valley Moth, the Demon Marks on her body would only grow more numerous, leaving her with no path but death.

”Alright, I am willing to join you.”

Hong Mingyue made a decisive decision. Towards the Lonely Moon Sea, Qing Province Continent, and even the Human Clan, she bore no feelings; on the contrary, she harbored only hatred.

The reason she had fallen to this point was entirely due to those reputable sects.

”Heh, don’t agree too quickly. You need to swear with your soul, to be eternally loyal to our South Nether Empress. If you breach this oath, you’ll never reincarnate.”

Shadow Concubine was extremely cunning. How could she not see that Hong Mingyue was naturally cold-hearted?

This kind of person would stab someone in the back for profit at any time without hesitation.

Hong Mingyue could only swear the oath as Shadow Concubine instructed.

Just after swearing, she asked another question.

”Didn’t you just say you serve under the Demon King? Then who is the South Nether Empress?”

Hong Mingyue knew nothing about the Demon Clan.

”Ignorant human, since you’ve joined under the Demon King, you should know the basics about the Demon World. In the Demon World, like your Human Clan, there are ranks in cultivation—from demons to Great Demons, then Sky Demons, and above them is the Demon King. But in the Demon World, the two highest leaders are the Demon Emperors. The Demon World has eight major Demon Kings divided into two factions, belonging to different Demon Emperors. Our Demon King is loyal to the South Nether Emperor. As for the South Nether Empress, she is the Emperor’s Empress, and the most beautiful and noble woman in the Demon World.”

Mentioning the South Nether Emperor and the Empress, Shadow Concubine’s eyes filled with reverence.

Especially when speaking of the South Nether Empress, a fellow woman, Shadow Concubine’s face was full of envy.

In the eyes of all women in the Demon Clan, perhaps there was no woman more blessed under heaven than the South Nether Empress.

It wasn’t just because of her appearance, unmatched in beauty, but also because she was the most powerful and talented female demon in the entire demon history, and the only woman to ever stand shoulder to shoulder with the Demon Emperor.

Rumor had it that before she married, she was favored by the two most powerful men in the Demon World at the time.

How could such a woman not inspire envy?

”On equal footing with the Demon Emperor, does such a woman exist in the Demon World? The South Nether Empress...” Hong Mingyue was filled with envy upon hearing this.

How she longed to become a woman like that.

”Once you achieve great deeds and are granted a Demon Embryo, you’ll have the chance to meet the South Nether Empress. Enough talk, since you are now one of our kin, you should serve the Demon Clan. Listen, the Demon King has already infiltrated the Five Elements City including Shui City, and a major action will soon occur. You, a new member of the Human Clan, are tasked with infiltrating the Shui City Lord’s Mansion to gather information on the city’s defenses.” Shadow Concubine was not afraid of Hong Mingyue’s betrayal, directly revealing the plan to her.

The Demon’s forces had infiltrated the five major Five Elements Cities?

Hong Mingyue was shocked upon hearing this.

The Five Elements City, wasn’t it where Shui City was, along with the other golden, water, fire, and earth Newbie Cities?

What were the Demons planning to attack these places for?

Hong Mingyue, after some thought, understood it.

The Five Elements City is where the Five Elements Spirits are most concentrated among the Newbie Cities.

They aren’t as fortified as the Spirit City, but at the same time, they are essential points for every new arrival in the Ancient Nine Provinces to pass through, due to their abundant Reincarnation powers.

If the Demons conquer these five Newbie Cities, they will capture the most fortified Five Elements Power of the Human Clan, and simultaneously cut off the supply to the Ancient Nine Provinces. The new recruits won’t be able to become formal Demon Hunters, and eventually, the defense lines of the Ancient Nine Provinces will become vulnerable.

”From this day forth, this will be our meeting point. I’ll await your good news here.”

Having said that, Shadow Concubine’s form turned into a shadow again and rapidly vanished.

Hong Mingyue stood in the room for a moment until she felt the slight chill on her skin, then looked again at her own stomach.

There was not a stir from the Ghost Valley Moth, suggesting it would fall into a slumber after consuming flesh every time.

That demon moth surely wouldn’t have expected to find demons in a place like Shui City.

”Ghost Valley Moth, you have brought me such misery. One day, I will tear you and that bitch Ye Lingyue into pieces.”

Hong Mingyue said hatefully, putting on her clothes and leaving the brothel.
