Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

April

”I am not going anywhere with you. Just give me my book Angel.”

I begged the girl right in front of me. I can’t believe I left that book out in the open. Angel has never barged into my room on a normal day, so how was I supposed to know that she would just walk in and find a dark romance book on my table?

My face was burning so hot I felt like melting into the floor. Not just any dark romance, but the step-siblings trope. Of all the books on my table, she had to pick up the one that made me look like a total weirdo dreaming about her.

”You are coming with me. If I am going to pay you all that money for two weeks, it should be worth it. You go where I go for two good weeks.”

So living in this house is not enough. I am already embarrassed and ashamed of what I did last night, letting my desire get the best of me.

I tasted the devil’s boobies and dick... I am taking that to my grave...

And then this girl had the guts to tell me she has fallen in love, but with my pussy.

I wanted to sink into the floor and disappear forever. I need space to heal from my shame and my own instability. I needed time to gather my thoughts and put my walls back up before she completely tore me down.

But it will be nice getting to know Angel’s life outside this mansion.

I caught myself thinking about it, looking at her sharp profile.

What she does on a daily basis. Does she even have a job or a daily hobby?

The job part is definitely no because this girl lives on her mom’s wealth. I don’t even think she has made a dollar in her life. She just spends her days driving fast cars, buying expensive clothes, and doing whatever pops into her head.

I folded my arms, trying to keep my boobs covered because she had been staring at my nakedness.

”I’d rather go back to work sick than go out with someone like you,” I said, rolling my eyes and trying to sound firm.

”Really? You are not dying to go out with me?” Angel tilted her head, her crimson eyes flashing with pure amusement.

”No.”

”I spent a week doing your stupid fantasy thing. A whole week, taking you out on a date, wearing a stupid tuxedo. Even Coco here almost died from food poisoning. And you don’t want to go out with me,” she said, pointing at Coco, whom I was just noticing.

That orange cat was on my table, purring softly next to my lamp.

”That was supposed to make you fall in love with me. Just a game I played, and I lost.”

”Good news, it worked. I don’t see you as the ghost girl living free in my house anymore. I now see you as the girl whose pussy I am addicted to. You are my favorite, number one.”

Argh, she needs to stop saying that.

My cheeks flared up all over again. It’s so weird for me to be jealous of my own body. Why would I be competing with my own vagina? It was the most frustrating, ridiculous feeling in the entire world.

”Angel, please leave my room. I need to dress,” I said, pushing her out. I shoved my hands against her bare shoulder, trying to force her heavy frame toward the door.

”You can put on your clothes in front of me. I don’t mind since you have stripped twice for me.” She didn’t budge an inch, just looking down at me with a lazy grin.

”Argh, you are so unbelievably...” I groaned, finally driving her out of my room and slamming the door in her stupid dimpled face.

I rested my forehead against the panel, my heart hammering like crazy inside my ribs. I’m supposed to be playing with her feelings, but she is the one stepping on mine.

Knock, knock.

The loud rap on the door made me jump. I unlatched the lock and opened the door, only bringing my face out.

”What do you want, Angel?” I snapped, keeping the rest of my body hidden behind the frame.

”I want my cat. Give me my Coco.”

Before I could respond, Coco let out a meow by my leg. She walked past me, squeezing through the small crack, and Angel picked her up, cradling the orange cat against her chest.

”Is it true what Katie says about you?” Angel said, standing in the hallway and stroking the cat’s fur.

”What did she say?”

I know I’m going to regret asking... because that girl never keeps her mouth shut..

”You are a stick-in-the-mud person.”

”Excuse me?”

”You are vanilla, so plain and boring. No wonder you have never had a relationship in your entire life. Even that pretty nun had a higher chance than you. She is more fun than you, and that’s why the beta girl likes her pie. You are just a snoozie.”

”You are a bitch.”

”I am not wrong, though. If you are not as plain as it seems, eat your food, put on something nice, and come downstairs. Let’s go to the beach. I will be waiting for you.” Angel gave me one last smirk, turned on her heel, and walked down the hallway carrying her cat.

I stood in the doorway, my teeth clenching until my jaw throbbed.

I cannot believe Katie thinks I am lame.

I mean, she has always asked me if I wanted to go to parties and clubs with her and her friends, but I always said no.

I preferred staying home, reading my novels, and getting a good night’s sleep before my morning shifts.

I have more important things to do than waste myself on alcohol. I had goals, I had work, and I wanted to save money.

I never even went to any Ranger or frat parties because I didn’t see the need to go. Sitting in a loud, sticky room full of sweaty college kids never sounded appealing to me.

Is this the reason Benny failed to view me as a romantic interest all this while?

My stomach sank as I thought about it. Before I found out about her and Sister Mary, I always left hints about my crush on her, but she never acknowledged them.

Oh, Katie, you are so dead when I see you next time. Selling me out like that to Angel of all people.

I stomped over to my desk, picked up the fork, and quickly ate the food Gloria had prepared.

After eating and finding some clothes to put on, I went downstairs to meet Angel, telling her I was ready to go to the party. I had chosen a neat, high-collared blouse and a long dark skirt that covered my legs completely.

She was leaning against the sofa near the front doors, looking up as I reached the bottom step.

She had that victory smile, bringing out her adorable baby dimples.

Then she told me to go put on something lighter.

She did not like what I was wearing.
