Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 261: Chapter 261 Audience: Perfect Chidori? That’s all right*

The audience watched with bated breath as Kakashi rapidly advanced towards the enemy. The opponent, realizing he had no time to dodge, gritted his teeth in haste, reversed his Kunai, and prepared for a mutual kill.

Judging from the angle of the Kunai, Kakashi, unable to see the enemy’s movements clearly, would surely crash into him.

The reality was just as the audience expected; he charged straight at the enemy, the distance between his abdomen and the Kunai dwindling.

Just by looking at the bullet comments, one could tell how panicked the audience was at that moment, with the screen filled with frantic screams.

But the outcome defied everyone’s expectations.

At the last moment, Kakashi twisted his body, narrowly dodging the trap, and with a swift forward thrust of his right hand, cleanly pierced the opponent’s chest.

When the lightning faded and the camera moved up, everyone saw that Kakashi’s originally dark and bright eyes were now blood-red, with three tomoe spinning rapidly around his pupils.

Countless characters emerged and then disappeared around his eye sockets, like elves lightly dancing to the rhythm of his breathing.

[Ah ah ah ah ah!!! Marararara marararara marararara!!!]

[Don’t do it, Kakashi—!!!]

[Hm? What’s going on???]

[When did Chidori evolve???]

[So cool! Killing one person in ten steps, leaving no trace for a thousand miles!]

[Wait a minute!! What the heck!?]

[Holy crap, where did Kakashi get a Sharingan!]

[What’s that on Kakashi’s face? A Sealing Jutsu?]

[Ah ah ah ah ah ah what the heck happened! I want to know now! Immediately!]

Despite everyone’s excitement, the anime still reached its ending song amidst the audience’s agitated emotions.

In the next episode, the animator repeated the process of Kakashi using Chidori to defeat the enemy, then a screen-filling white light bloomed, revealing Naraku busy in a laboratory.

His face was visibly pale, yet his hands quickly calculated various variables. The prolonged nervous tension caused him to black out the moment he completed the calculations, and his body swayed dramatically.

At this moment, a pair of pale, slender arms reached in from off-screen and supported Naraku’s back, preventing him from falling to the ground in an undignified manner.

After Naraku stood steady, Orochimaru withdrew his arms and, ignoring Naraku’s soft pleas, directly confiscated his scratch paper, stating that Kakashi would not be on the battlefield for a short time and ordering Naraku to go home and rest.

[Is the Sharingan related to Naraku?]

[Could it be that he really went to ask Fugaku to give Kakashi a pair of Sharingan?]

[Naraku looks so bad, has his bloodline limit sickness worsened again?]

[It’s clearly exhaustion. The workload for that natural energy absorption array last time was already terrifying, I wonder what he’s researching this time.]

[Please, The Old Thief, be kinder to Naraku, don’t keep using him as a tool, boo hoo hoo.]

[Holy crap, Orochimaru, what are you doing here?]

[What’s going on, why is Orochimaru’s attitude so doting?]

[Marararara, marararara, is the snake also going to be conquered by the Uchiha succubus?]

[Hehehe, I’ll ship OroNara for just one second.]

[The omnivore faction accepted this meal in just 0.001 seconds.]

[It’s for Kakashi after all! He loves him so much!]

[Busy with Sakumo, then busy with Kakashi, Naraku would practically dig out his heart and liver for the Hatake family.]

[Presumably, the Sharingan was created by this Sealing Jutsu.]

[Just this naughty snake is awesome!]

[Orochimaru forced Naraku to rest for his health, Orochimaru is good!]

The camera shifted to a street in Konoha. It was almost dark, and the streetlights glowed with warm light, connecting one after another to form the path home.

Naraku wore a thick woolen coat but was still shivering slightly. He hunched his shoulders and hurried along, accidentally bumping into someone. A few coughs, suppressed in his throat, escaped.

After apologizing, he realized he had bumped into Kakashi, who had come to pick him up. Kakashi sighed as he put a scarf around him, shielding him from the biting wind.

With the scarf, Naraku clearly felt much warmer. His little face, red from the cold, was nestled in the layers of fabric. Hearing Kakashi’s complaints, he instinctively wanted to apologize again but was muffled by the scarf.

After struggling for a while, he managed to explain a few words from behind the scarf. Kakashi held his hand, and they walked home together obediently. But when Kakashi asked him what he was busy with, Naraku, uncharacteristically, said he wanted to keep it a secret for two days.

[Did Kakashi specifically come because he noticed Naraku wasn’t wearing a scarf? So thoughtful~]

[Kakashi: My own wife, I’ll pamper her.]

[Everyone, close your eyes and listen carefully to Naraku’s muffled gurgling sounds, they’re especially like... ~(@^_^@)~]

[No offense, everyone, but something that doesn’t exist has stood up.]

[Nima, this is the bullet comment section, not a no-man’s-land!]

[Kakashi’s male ghost vibe is getting stronger and stronger.]

[Sister Kanai eats well, the official content is even better than fanfiction.]

[I’ve suffered so much shipping KakaNara, this sugar is what I deserve!]

[Just asking, is this how friends normally interact? (Witty.jpg)]

[I don’t know, but my buddies and I don’t do this.]

[To be honest, brothers, I feel like Kakashi and Naraku are really not right (crying and laughing.jpg)]

[Maybe this is what The Old Thief considers a close friend.]

—

Naraku pouted: That’s all it takes? What’s so surprising about brothers holding hands? Don’t female best friends interact like this?

After complaining about the audience’s limited experience, Naraku regretted that the animator hadn’t shown the scene where he and Kakashi slept in the same bed earlier, otherwise he could have reaped a large amount of popularity points.

Naraku (pointing): animator, you coward! You don’t even know how to put in something exciting when selling a CP. You should take some lessons from variety show editors.

—

The scene switched again. Clearly, several days had passed, but the faded white screen border indicated that this was still a flashback.

The camera slowly zoomed into the room. When Kakashi, shirtless and covered in spell writing, appeared before the audience, the bullet comments suddenly surged, and various screaming onomatopoeias almost obscured the screen.

[Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap!]

[Oh my god, what kind of play is this!]
