Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 151: Chapter 151 Sin, sin... will you dare to do it next time?

Just as Shisui was hugged by his parents and softly comforted, the last episode ended.

”It seems Kakashi still doesn’t know I’m dead yet?”

Naraku closed the website and opened the forum, ready to observe how badly his fans had been tormented.

The fanfiction section was, as expected, a chaotic mix of various kakashi fanfics, both angsty and sweet, alongside numerous otome and dream girl stories. Hand-drawn animations and mixed edits were sprouting up like spring weeds.

It seemed only by furiously producing content could the fans quell the pain in their hearts.

——

”Love Unto Death (Kakashi x Naraku)”

”Lie to me (Naraku x Kakashi)”

”Clear Winter Wind, Full Moon (Fūyō x Naraku)”...

”Remember to Smile When Dawn Breaks (Hatake Household Grand Reunion) [Hand-drawn Animation]”

”[Naraku Otome] When He Feels He’s Not Good Enough For You”

”Operation Save Uchiha Naraku [Naraku Otome]”...

——

There was simply too much; he probably couldn’t finish it even if he watched for three days and three nights.

Naraku viewed his popularity points gains with great optimism.

”But, it feels like they’re offering me sacrifices, doesn’t it?”

He almost laughed at his own dark joke, quickly pressing his lips together.

He then scrolled through these posts, clicked on a few interesting ones, read them, and exited, feeling satisfied.

He then turned his attention to the plot discussion section.

——

”All the candy is mixed with glass shards; I can’t be the only one crying!”

1L (OP): ”uchiha three brothers” seemed like a joyful and relaxed episode, but the knives were far more than just that last minute at the end!

Ah ah ah ah ah ah (wailing.jpg)!

Since I saw it, I must generously share this ”delicacy” with everyone!

When Shisui saw Naraku coming up from the grassy slope, it was downstream from where the necklace fell into the river. And when Naraku first came up, his sleeves and trouser legs were rolled up [Image].

It’s highly likely he went into the river in the middle of a late autumn night to retrieve the necklace that Kakashi had personally thrown away (T⌓T)... That’s river water that will soon be freezing cold and bone-chilling... A monumental knife, boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo... Also, even Obito, with his thick skin, could tell that Naraku wanted to stir up trouble then, and his subconscious choice was to imitate Kakashi [Image].

They influenced each other so deeply that they both carried each other’s shadows.

But later, when Obito said Naraku had learned bad habits from Kakashi, he briefly—almost for 0.1 seconds—paused, his expression subtly changing before quickly returning to normal [Image].

Boo hoo hoo hoo, Baby Naraku is truly deeply hurt; he even reacts to hearing Kakashi’s name... This knife truly kills... Who would have thought that not long ago they were close friends who understood each other, but now things have changed, and they’ve gone their separate ways.

Before they could even reconcile, Naraku left first.

Every time I recall these memories, I’m so sad I can’t eat, boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo... 2L: OP’s first knife completely stunned me... Even after all that, Naraku still went to look for the necklace... I can just imagine him crying while searching.

3L: There’s another point. Naraku carrying Shisui to save Obito, how similar it was to when he saved Sakumo. What must he have been thinking on the way?

He must have recalled that night, Sakumo’s blood slowly growing cold, the weight that almost crushed him, and the seemingly endless path ahead.

4L: Reply to 3L: I’m going to fight you guys who dig up knives to eat yourselves!

5L: Kakashi and Naraku are two characters where The Old Thief’s knife-wielding skills reached their peak.

6L: Similar to Hashirama and Madara, they also had different ideals, physically fought each other, and then died one after the other.

7L (OP): Reply to 6L: I feel kakashi is even better. Kakashi’s words were pure psychological torture for Naraku.

In the last minute of those two ”uchiha three brothers” episodes, Naraku’s state was that of someone whose heart had shattered, then he forcibly pieced himself back together to pretend to live a normal life.

8L: Reply to 6L: It’s truly killing the heart, stabbing where it hurts the most. When I saw that part, I was stunned. How could Kakashi choose to hurt Naraku by exposing his old wounds? His character was so OOC his own father wouldn’t recognize him.

9L: Actually, Naraku’s condition in that last segment was already very dangerous. I study psychology...

”I hereby declare, if Kakashi isn’t affected, I’ll buy an inverted hair washer and wash my hair upside down!”

1L (OP): These are irrefutable proofs, my friends! [Image], [Image], [Image].

Hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, memory blur—these are all signs of mental interference.

Also, that sound of ice crystals cracking is a very common sound effect technique in animation, representing breaking through delusions, shattering Barriers/Seals, and soul liberation.

From the looks of it, Kakashi is about to return to normal.

2L: I was there, I testify that what the OP said is true, I am that fallen leaf.

3L: Agreed. A very reasonable deduction.

4L: Reply to 3L: Brother Thirteen? If you say so, then I’ll tentatively believe the OP this once.

5L: Why couldn’t it be that Kakashi is on the verge of a mental breakdown due to excessive guilt, self-blame, and overthinking? Couldn’t the shattering sound also be seen as a precursor to collapse?

6L (OP): Reply to 5L: I think that’s unlikely, because Kakashi is normal and logical at other times, except when dealing with Naraku. If he were truly having a mental breakdown, it would manifest in other situations too.

7L: Reply to 5L: I also think what you said is unlikely. From the perspective of story development and character growth, the probability of Kakashi breaking down is very small. The Old Thief spent a lot of effort to construct a qualified male lead; why would he just let him be ruined like that...

”I’m that Naraku fan from last time who got respiratory alkalosis. I declare that The Old Thief and I are sworn enemies for life!”

1L (OP): I don’t care about being embarrassed or anything; I just want to ask why a creator would hate his own character so much, tormenting him 360° from body to mind?

He made him lose his mother at birth, suffer paternal abuse, and just when he finally survived to six or seven years old and was taken in by the Hatake Father and Son, now he’s taken away both his master and his close friend!

And the methods used were one to kill the body, and the other to kill the heart!

A character treated so cruelly by a creator must be truly rare, wouldn’t you say?

2L: naraku fans are really too miserable.

3L: It’s the kind of pain that still hurts even when you remember it ten years later.

4L: So, OP, did you go to the Hospital this time?

5L (OP): Reply to 4L: I was on an IV drip for two days [Image].

6L: Good heavens, that’s quite a temper.

7L: Reply to 6L: She’s still alright. Many of those reaction streamers who like Uchiha Naraku were so angry they cried buckets, constantly taking blood pressure medicine. There was even a girl who broke a folding chair.

...——

Naraku: My sin, my sin... Oh, what a mess I’ve made.

He was just thinking about perhaps giving the fans a break and trying a different acting style later, but then he glanced at his popularity points—nearly 200,000, and still rapidly rising.

Naraku: I was wrong, but I’ll do it again next time.jpg
