Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 194: Chapter 194 You performed very well, Patriarch

The Sealing Jutsu continued for a period, then suddenly contracted, completely annihilating all matter contained within it.

Whether it was buildings, the ground, or even that portion of the air, everything vanished into the void, and external gases instantly rushed into this vacuum, causing a sharp rise in temperature and a violent, terrifying explosion.

Once all signs subsided, only a vast, empty spherical space remained in front of the Hokage Building, testifying to the terrifying power of this Sealing Jutsu.

Unfortunately, such a powerful seal, used by Danzo, only eliminated an empty space and a few buildings in front of the Hokage Building.

Oh, right, and himself.

--But for some reason, this doesn’t feel strange?

Fugaku’s thoughts wandered a bit, then he reined them back with willpower.

Tonight was destined to be a sleepless night for everyone.

The Uchiha almost went to war with Konoha, and even killed Danzo Shimura, causing their relationship with the Hokage and the highest echelons to completely freeze over;

Other Ninja Clans were mostly neutral now, but for the Uchiha, improving relations was basically an urgent matter;

Also, whether Orochimaru was involved in Danzo’s plan to persecute the Uchiha needed to be confirmed at the first opportunity;

Finally, Naraku was not yet completely out of danger, and the bloodline limit sickness’s torment of him had never ceased... He had many things to do next, but the most important one now was to safely bring all the Clan Members back.

”Sandaime, since the main culprit has been brought to justice, this matter will temporarily end here. But if anyone continues to harbor ill intentions towards the Uchiha, my clan will not hesitate to repeat today’s actions.”

With each word Fugaku spoke, Hiruzen Sarutobi’s expression grew uglier, until it was almost dripping with blackness, but he managed to hold back from acting.

Danzo was dead, and there was no point in Konoha going to war with the increasingly powerful Uchiha.

Perhaps he should even be grateful that Danzo died so cleanly, without exposing other things he had done over the years, otherwise, even he, the Hokage, might have to step down to appease the seething public resentment.

Seeing that the Hokage had conceded, Fugaku raised his hand, a slight smile suddenly appearing on his face: ”Uchiha, let’s go home!”

”Oh! Hurray! We’re going home!”

”The Clan Head is mighty!”

”The Uchiha are indeed the strongest! Hahaha!”

With the Clan Head personally covering their retreat, the Uchiha cheered and formed a long line, marching proudly and majestically back to the Uchiha Clan Compound under the gaze of half of Konoha.

The combat teams that had been dispatched earlier also withdrew along the way, successively merging into the excited torrent.

Konoha’s greatest internal war crisis in history temporarily came to an end... The Uchiha had withdrawn, and Tsunade and Kakashi were also absent, presumably taking care of Naraku. Jiraiya looked left and right, then silently waved Shizune over, and the two of them took advantage of the chaos to slip away.

After all, he had just openly defied his esteemed teacher in front of all of Konoha, and now that the incident was over, he still felt a bit guilty facing the old man.

The Clan Heads of the Ninja Clans who had watched the spectacle departed one after another, their attitudes slightly cold, especially the Inuzuka Clan Head, who didn’t even bother to smile, giving Hiruzen Sarutobi a perfunctory nod before leaving.

With such an outcome, Hiruzen Sarutobi had no face to remain and accept their gazes. He waved for the remaining two Advisors to dismiss the numerous Ninja and Anbu, his departing figure appearing somewhat weary and hunched.

”Hiruzen... sigh.”

Utatane Koharu watched Hiruzen Sarutobi slowly walk away, gritting her teeth and sighing.

”Hmph!” Homura Mitokado’s gaze at the Uchiha was incredibly gloomy, and he said with hatred, ”Those Uchiha bastards, don’t think this matter is over! I will avenge Danzo sooner or later!”

”Let’s wait for Hiruzen to make a decision. Now that the Uchiha have the Mangekyo, they are not so easy to deal with.”

”What’s there to fear? The Mangekyo can’t be used for a lifetime; there will come a day when it goes blind.”

”That’s true...”

...Jiraiya was leading Shizune towards the Hospital when he saw a middle-aged man in a green jumpsuit block his path, looking agitated.

”Lord Jiraiya! Are you going to visit Naraku? Please, take me with you!”

”You are...” Jiraiya looked him up and down, then realized, ”Might Duy?”

”Yes!” Might Duy stood at attention and responded loudly with great spirit.

”Hmm, then let’s go.”

Jiraiya knew what Might Duy was thinking as soon as they met; sometimes, between men, not many words are needed, a single glance can convey their thoughts.

He smiled and patted the other’s shoulder, chatting a few words as they walked.

”I heard you have a good relationship with Naraku and Kakashi? Kakashi has mentioned you a few times, saying you’re a reliable companion.”

Hearing this, Might Duy felt even more ashamed, clenching his fists, his face streaming with wide, noodle-like tears: ”No, no, I’m still far from it! I can’t even be called reliable! Waaah! If only my willpower hadn’t been insufficient, I wouldn’t have...”

”It seems like you’ve had a really tough time lately.”

...The Uchiha Clan Compound was brightly lit. Besides The Police Force members Fugaku had arranged to take turns on night watch, many ordinary Clan Members also stayed on the streets, unwilling to go home, gathering in small groups to drink and chat, discussing the thrilling confrontation they had just witnessed.

They hadn’t experienced such a triumphant feeling of vindication in many years, but thankfully, tonight they finally rose up, not only retrieving Naraku and the children but even killing the mastermind while defying the Hokage.

With Konoha accepting this outcome with a grimace, many Uchiha realized that they no longer had to live as submissively as before.

Fugaku dismissed his guards, telling them to return and reunite with their families.

After a life-or-death crisis, what a Ninja most wanted to see was the safe and happy faces of their loved ones.

Passing through countless sounds of laughter, Fugaku returned to his doorstep alone, took a deep breath, rubbed his face with his hand, and put on the happy expression he usually wore when returning home.

Then he pulled open the door and stepped into the entryway. His gentle and serene wife came to greet him, smiling as she said she had prepared a table full of dishes for him, and as usual, handed him a hot towel to wipe his face and hands.

The moist warmth of the towel on his face relaxed every tense nerve.

Fugaku suddenly felt how good it was to be alive.

The Uchiha Clan Head, who had been holding on all night, felt a burning in the corners of his eyes. He embraced his wife’s shoulders, repeating constantly.

”I succeeded, Mikoto, I succeeded! Everyone will live! From now on, no one will ever bully the Uchiha again!”

”I know, I know.”

Mikoto stroked her husband’s back and said softly, ”You did very well, Clan Head.”
