Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Uchiha is a clan of love

Sakumo Hatake took Naraku, who was somewhat disbelieving, home. He checked his meridians, explained that his current weakness was due to malnutrition, and praised Naraku for actually being very talented.

Then, with the loving expression of an old father, he watched Kakashi express his concern in his own way, relieved that his usually aloof and arrogant son finally had a friend.

At night, Kakashi couldn’t sleep because Naraku was staring at him. He irritably asked what was wrong, but then saw him show a satisfied yet slightly shy smile.

Like a small animal that had been wandering outside for a long time and was finally picked up by humans and brought home, he curled up in his new home, no longer worried about being bullied by the wind and rain outside.

[Our Baby Naraku will definitely be super strong in the future!]

[What’s with your tsundere look, Kakashi?]

[Sakumo: Hehehe, I’m shipping them.]

[Sakumo’s face is full of auntie smiles.]

[Naraku is like a little dog picked up by Kakashi.]

[A rare dog-type little pitiful in the Uchiha, just right for a cat-type man like Kakashi XD.]

[Cats and dogs are the best!]

The scene then shifted to the next morning. The spacious courtyard was bathed in sunlight, and two white-haired figures, one big and one small, were training.

Sakumo was clearly holding back his strength while sparring with Kakashi. Even so, the latter quickly became breathless and sweaty, his bangs softly drooping because they were damp with sweat.

At this moment, a wet towel appeared before his eyes. Kakashi followed the direction and indeed saw Naraku, whose obsidian-like eyes shone with a clear light.

Kakashi awkwardly took the towel and covered his face.

Sakumo Hatake was, after all, a man, and he was quite casual about raising children. When Kakashi could walk, he made him learn to take care of himself. Kakashi was also strong-willed from a young age and refused to show weakness, so this was the first time he had been cared for with such meticulous consideration, and he naturally felt a little embarrassed.

[Sakumo gave Kakashi a vast ocean.]

[Naraku’s personality is really good.]

[Even at such a young age, you can tell he’ll be a good wife in the future.]

[Sakumo: My son is set for life.]

[This even made Kakashi shy, huh?]

[Ah ah ah ah ah, I approve of this marriage!]

[So straightforward, Naraku is indeed a dog-type.]

Sakumo called Naraku over, and when the latter addressed him as ”Sir,” he seriously corrected him: ”You should call me Master.”

Immediately, the camera focused on Naraku’s bandaged fingers, which were nervously fiddling with the hem of his clothes. Soon, the camera cut to a side view, showing him slowly lowering his head.

The screen began to show past memories: his father’s endless abuse, only a photograph to remember his mother by, countless cold and hungry nights, his small body curled up alone, waiting with difficulty for the sunrise in a corner.

His tender shoulders drooped lower and lower, as if being crushed by a mountain called memory.

The world began to become silent and pale.

But a pair of large hands broke through the fog, shattered the nightmare, and dispersed that heavy illusion.

”It’s okay, Naraku, nothing bad will happen again.”

The gentle words freed Naraku from his memories, and he stood back in the lush green courtyard.

The whole world became vibrant and bright again.

A gentle breeze blew, and the large tree nearby, which shaded most of the courtyard, rustled its branches, making a fine, whispering sound.

He saw the light spots around him, swaying like water with the shaking leaves, like countless suns.

”...Master.”

The scarred boy softly called out, carefully leaning into Sakumo’s embrace, experiencing a sense of security he had never received from his father.

—It’s so warm, so this is what a father’s embrace is like, with the scent of sunshine and wind.

[Hatake Father and Son are angels!]

[The world will be colorful from now on!]

[Master is also a father!]

[The only places to cry are the toilet and Dad’s arms.]

[A father’s embrace is sunshine and wind.]

[Such a gentle description.]

[Naraku has waited for this kind of love for too long.]

In the scene, he looked up at his Master’s face, and the next second, the camera focused on his dark pupils.

The black pupils, almost filling the entire screen, gradually turned red, and a small tomoe appeared, slowly rotating around the pupil.

Then the screen went completely black, and the ending song began.

[Holy crap!]

[Holy crap!]

[Holy crap!]

[Sharingan!]

[He awakened it! Naraku awakened his Sharingan!]

[Scum Shinji’s years of abuse didn’t make Naraku awaken his Sharingan, but the kindness of the Hatake Father and Son did.]

[One-Tomoe at six years old, Naraku is truly a genius!]

[The Uchiha are a clan of love!!! (Very loud)]

Naraku contentedly turned off the video, marveling that the animator was truly powerful, releasing the entire event in its entirety, which gained him a huge wave of popularity.

It seemed the animator also felt that his awakening in this manner was worth detailed documentation, especially since the audience could tell that Uchiha Naraku would definitely be Kakashi’s best friend in the future, so spending some ink on it was understandable.

However, for a while after this, his screentime would definitely not be as much.

Firstly, the conflicts worthy of attention regarding him had largely been resolved. Secondly, the mission storyline involving Minato Namikaze would surely be more exciting.

For the animator to focus on him again, something else would probably have to happen.

Although he really wanted to browse the forum again, it was already too late. The latest episode had just been released in the animator’s world, so there probably wouldn’t be much relevant content produced on the forum yet. Therefore, Naraku chose to sleep first and check the forum when he woke up the next day.

A dreamless night...
