Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: End of the movie; Browse the forum

It was another close-up of Naraku, who was sipping miso soup, and his inner monologue began again.

”So, a hot soup in the belly really does warm you up completely.”

”When was the last time I had such a warm soup?”

As his inner thoughts continued, Naraku’s past experiences of abuse and bullying began to unfold, causing the audience immense heartache.

The scene then shifted to Naraku’s perspective, blurred by the steam, as if something was dripping from his eyes into the soup.

”Why couldn’t Father treat me like this?”

”Oh, right, I remember now.”

”It was my fault that Mother died, leaving Father to suffer from longing. I also lacked the talent to awaken my Sharingan, bringing shame to Father.”

”It’s all my fault.”

”I don’t deserve happiness.”

The camera was positioned to the side, perfectly capturing Naraku holding the bowl with vacant eyes, tears falling one after another.

[I can’t take this anymore, Uchiha Shinji is insane, he needs therapy!]

[What kind of hatred or grudge is this? Why is he treating him like this?]

[No, Naraku, it’s not your fault, it’s not!]

[If this continues, it wouldn’t be surprising if he committed suicide.]

[Brothers, assemble! Let’s go assassinate Uchiha Shinji!]

Kakashi was surprised to see an Uchiha cry for the first time. His gaze focused on the layers of bandages covering the wounds, and he finally realized that the other person seemed to be experiencing a pain he didn’t understand.

He handed Naraku a towel, and to forget the awkwardness, quickly cleared the table, carrying the bowls and chopsticks to the sink to wash them. Naraku tried to help, almost calling out Kakashi’s name.

Even though he corrected himself quickly, the audience heard it.

[Did you just realize, Kakashi?]

[I have to say, Kakashi is quite slow-witted when it comes to being slow-witted.]

[Why call him by name, Naraku, just call him husband.]

[The person before me is going too far, why can’t he be called wife?]

[Exactly, Kakashi is also a top.]

[I told you not to ship in the public comments!]

Kakashi looked at Naraku, whose long hair fell, covering his face and his wounds.

Several images flashed through his mind, all of Naraku with his face covered by his long hair since the start of school two months ago.

He suddenly realized something.

”Who did this to Uchiha Naraku?”

”That urgent explanation earlier, was it to cover for someone?”

[He finally got it, my goodness!]

[If he didn’t figure this out, I’d have to question the observation skills of a Ninja genius.]

[It indirectly shows how well Uchiha Shinji concealed it.]

[He even remembers to cover up his domestic abuse, but he doesn’t remember Naraku’s malnutrition (angry).]

[Scum Shinji is just purely venting his anger, isn’t he?]

As Kakashi was deep in thought, he heard Naraku say goodbye.

The kitchen was spotless, and the boy was quietly looking over. Light from the left illuminated one side of the boy’s face, while the other was submerged in shadow. The scene clearly indicated he was at the boundary of light and darkness, needing only a gentle push to fall into the abyss.

Kakashi took out a small, new jar of ointment and handed it to the boy, reminding him to change the dressing.

The boy’s numb eyes flickered for a moment, then returned to their usual stillness.

”Thank you,” he said, taking it with both hands, treasuring it.

[It’s over, I don’t dare to imagine what Naraku will experience when he goes home.]

[This scene is very clear, Naraku is always on the verge of blackening.]

[I remember when I was a child, I took a gift from a friend home, and my mom threw it away.]

[Uchiha Shinji will only do worse.]

Even though the audience didn’t want to watch, Episode 6 still had three or four minutes of runtime left.

The video continued to play. When Naraku returned home, Uchiha Shinji had not yet rested; he was sitting in the living room waiting for him, his face clearly showing anger.

Naraku carefully hid the ointment jar in his embrace before entering the living room.

Although Uchiha Shinji was only a Chunin, Naraku couldn’t withstand his killing intent.

He had no choice but to truthfully answer his father’s questions, admitting that he had been at the Hatake Household earlier.

Uchiha Shinji suddenly erupted. The thought that his son not only lost another fight today but also went to Hatake to beg for pity made him furious.

Naraku endured his father’s abuse as usual, not making a sound, trying to prove that he wasn’t as useless as his father claimed.

But after one fall, the earthenware ointment jar he had hidden rolled out from his embrace.

[Foolish child, why can’t you even lie?]

[You think Uchiha’s genjutsu is a joke? How could you possibly hide it?]

[It’s over, it’s over, the item has been discovered!]

When Uchiha Shinji discovered it was medicine for wounds, he ignored his son’s pleas and violently smashed the ointment jar on the ground.

Bang!

The pottery jar instantly shattered into pieces.

The reflections of the fragments in his dark eyes were like fleeting fireworks, stabbing the audience’s hearts.

The boy, covered in wounds, stared blankly at the floor, where a pile of earthenware shards lay.

He trembled as he reached to pick them up.

His murmur could be heard in the video.

”Why...?”

”This was a gift from Kakashi... my first gift in life...”

”Am I not even allowed this small bit of luck?”

Even as his hand and the earthenware shards were stepped on while he picked them up, the sharp edges of the pottery pierced his palm, and blood twisted and spread across the floor. He still seemed to feel no pain, muttering silently.

”Kakashi... I’m sorry...”

”I caused the jar to be broken... It’s all my fault...” The screen suddenly went black, and the ending credits began to play.

[I feel like I’m suffocating.]

[He’s still blaming himself.]

[I came here for fun, not to get high blood pressure (frantic).]

[Netizens’ breasts are also breasts.]

[How come Old Thief is also becoming an anti-domestic violence fighter now?]

[Old Thief, you know how to build suspense.]

Naraku didn’t read the rest of the comments. He closed the video and searched for a naruto forum.

”naruto” is a big IP in the animator world, and all major forum websites have dedicated sections. Naraku clicked on the most popular forum, where many new posts had been updated. There were discussions, plot predictions, check-ins, arguments, and posts dedicated to characters, and even many fanfictions and fan art had appeared.

”Speculation on Uchiha Shinji’s Domestic Abuse” [HOT]

1L (OP): Brothers, what do you think? Could Uchiha Shinji be trying to force Uchiha Naraku to lose emotional control and awaken his Sharingan through such high-pressure tactics?

2L: I have the same feeling, after all, Uchiha need strong emotional stimulation to awaken their Sharingan.

3L: If that’s true, Naraku’s first act after awakening his Sharingan would be to kill him.

4L: So, it’s Uchiha Naraku’s fault for being too emotionally stable [crying emoji].

...25L: In the Uchiha Clan, there’s no one else who could let him do this for all these years.

26L: He hid it well, right? Uchiha Naraku never made a sound when he was beaten, and he never told anyone, so who would know?

27L: Neighbors must have heard his yelling and scolding, right? Don’t Ninja have that much sensitivity?

28L (OP): Did you notice, when Naraku returned home, there was a shot where it seemed like most of the people around were elderly or ordinary Clan Member who weren’t Ninja, so they probably wouldn’t notice.

29L: Oh my god, Scum Shinji’s plan is quite thorough, isn’t it?

30L: Exactly, he also put a lot of thought into deceiving his wife to have a child...
