Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

the morning of the wedding arrived before anyone in the su estate truly felt ready for it, though the truth was that preparations had already swallowed the entire mansion for days. before sunrise, the whole estate was awake. red lanterns hung from every beam and doorway, silk ribbons moved gently in the early wind, and even the stone paths through the inner courtyards had been washed again so they looked almost polished under the first light. servants moved quickly from one side of the residence to the other carrying trays, boxes, embroidered cloth, tea sets, jewelry cases, and flowers that mother su still insisted needed to be adjusted despite checking them personally the night before. the entire mansion smelled faintly of sandalwood and fresh incense. even the guards standing outside the gates looked more alert than usual, because by now guests from all over azure dragon city had already begun arriving, and no one wanted even the smallest mistake on a day the whole city had been waiting to see.

inside the inner chambers, however, the atmosphere was much more chaotic than elegant because mo yuxin had already started complaining before the maids even finished dressing her. she sat in front of the mirror while three maids worked carefully around her, one adjusting the long red outer robe, another trying to fix the heavy embroidered sleeves properly, and the third carefully arranging the silver and jade ornaments in her hair. mo yuxin looked at herself in the mirror with the expression of someone deeply wronged.

”why is this heavier than armor?” she asked for the third time.

one maid tried not to laugh. ”mistress, wedding robes are supposed to be heavy. it looks grand.”

”it looks like i will need help walking.”

another maid, younger and clearly very excited, smiled and said, ”but mistress looks very beautiful.”

”that is true,” mo yuxin said immediately, accepting the compliment without shame. ”still heavy though.”

the maids exchanged quick smiles. ever since she entered the su family, they had discovered that despite her frightening strength, mo yuxin could be unexpectedly easy to talk to when in a good mood. today she was clearly in a very good mood.

”has su yubing finished dressing?” mo yuxin asked.

one maid nodded. ”young lady is almost ready in the next room.”

mo yuxin immediately tried to stand, only for the maids to panic and pull her back down because her hair ornaments were not finished yet.

”no, no, mistress, please sit first.”

”i am getting married, not being imprisoned,” mo yuxin muttered, though she obediently sat again.

in the next chamber, su yubing’s side was much calmer, though not entirely free of trouble. she stood quietly while mother su personally adjusted the front of her robe for the fourth time, clearly unwilling to trust anyone else with the final details. her wedding robe was red as well, though with slightly lighter embroidery, golden phoenix patterns woven carefully into the sleeves and hem. her hair had already been pinned high, decorated with jade pieces and fine red silk that fell softly behind her shoulders.

mother su stepped back and looked at her daughter with eyes that immediately softened.

”when you were small, i thought this day would come much later,” she said.

su yubing looked at her mother through the mirror. ”you are saying that as though i am leaving forever.”

mother su laughed softly. ”you will still live here for now, but today is different.”

a maid near the side could not hide her smile. all morning the servants had been whispering that their young lady looked like she had stepped out of a painting.

when mo yuxin finally entered after escaping her own group of maids, the room fell quiet for a moment because even she stopped speaking when she saw su yubing fully dressed.

for once, mo yuxin looked honestly stunned.

su yubing turned slightly. ”why are you staring?”

”i was thinking,” mo yuxin said slowly, ”that maybe i should cancel the ceremony and hide you somewhere no one else can see.”

mother su laughed immediately while the maids nearly lost control trying not to laugh too loudly.

”you may think such thoughts after the ceremony,” mother su said. ”right now both of you go before father su starts worrying the guests think we changed our minds.”

the wedding hall had been arranged in the main courtyard, large enough to receive both noble guests and important cultivators from across the city. rows of seats filled both sides, and by the time the two brides arrived, the entire place was already packed. conversations softened instantly when they appeared.

many people had expected the wedding to be memorable simply because of who they were, but the sight itself still surprised everyone. twin red pathways had been laid across the courtyard. lanterns hung above in layers. incense smoke rose slowly near the ceremonial altar. even the musicians near the side stopped for a moment before beginning again.

father su stood near the front beside mother su, both clearly unable to hide their pride.

the ceremony began traditionally. tea offered to elders first. bows before heaven and earth. bows before family. then before each other.

when su yubing and mo yuxin faced one another for the final bow, the courtyard became so quiet that even the wind moving the lanterns could be heard.

neither looked nervous.

mo yuxin looked amused, warm, and openly pleased.

su yubing looked calm, but those close enough noticed the softness in her eyes.

when they bowed, applause broke naturally across the courtyard, much louder than formal ceremony usually allowed.

the maids standing near the back were already whispering excitedly.

”they look perfect.”

”our young lady truly found the best person.”

”i told you mistress looks more handsome than most young masters.”

”and prettier than half the noble daughters too.”

guests continued congratulating them through the afternoon. some noble families spoke politely, some with genuine warmth, and many women looked openly emotional because the wedding still meant something larger than just two people marrying. for many of them, this was still the first time they had seen such a thing happen openly without shame.

by evening the formal banquet began. tables filled the courtyard. wine flowed freely. father su was already laughing louder than usual because several old friends kept trying to toast him one after another. mother su had to stop him from drinking too quickly.

mo yuxin handled congratulations with surprising patience until one elderly guest praised her for defeating the hidden expert with one finger and then immediately asked how many children they planned to adopt someday. even su yubing nearly lost her composure hearing mo yuxin choke slightly on her tea.

the maids noticed everything.

every glance.

every small movement.

whenever mo yuxin leaned slightly closer while someone else spoke, the maids exchanged looks like they had discovered some secret treasure.

by the time the banquet finally ended and night settled fully, both women were escorted toward the bridal chamber under another round of cheers that embarrassed su yubing far more than the duel had earlier.

inside the room, however, silence finally returned.

the chamber had been decorated carefully. red candles burned at both sides. flower petals covered parts of the bed and floor. even the tea set placed near the table had ceremonial meaning.

mo yuxin looked around once and sighed dramatically.

”at last. everyone is gone.”

su yubing removed one hairpin slowly. ”you sound like you survived battle.”

”i did. five old women asked when we plan to give them grandchildren.”

that finally made su yubing laugh openly.

the sound clearly pleased mo yuxin more than anything else all day.

for a little while they simply sat together in the quieter room, removing heavy ornaments one by one, helping each other because some pieces were impossible to reach alone. mo yuxin carefully loosened the ornaments from su yubing’s hair, far gentler than her usual teasing manner.

when the last pin came loose, su yubing looked at her.

”you were unusually patient today.”

”i am patient every day.”

”that is a lie.”

”it is my wedding night. let me be falsely dignified.”

this time when they kissed, it carried the long weight of the whole day finally settling. no crowd. no ceremony. no watching eyes. just quiet warmth and closeness that no longer needed words. the candles burned slowly while outside the estate gradually became silent.

mo yuxin’s hands moved to the sash of su yubing’s robe, untying it with a slow, deliberate pull. the heavy red silk fell away, revealing the lighter garments beneath. su yubing’s breath hitched slightly as mo yuxin’s fingers traced the line of her collarbone, sending a shiver down her spine.

”you are so beautiful,” mo yuxin murmured, her voice low and husky.

su yubing’s eyes fluttered shut as mo yuxin’s lips trailed down her neck, leaving a path of heat in their wake. she leaned into the touch, her hands finding their way to mo yuxin’s waist, pulling her closer.

the air in the room grew thick with anticipation as they shed the rest of their clothes, their bodies finally pressing together, skin against skin. mo yuxin’s hands explored every curve and contour of su yubing’s body, her touch both gentle and demanding.

su yubing gasped as mo yuxin’s fingers found their way between her legs, stroking her with a slow, rhythmic motion that sent waves of pleasure crashing through her. she arched her back, her hands tangling in mo yuxin’s hair, pulling her closer.

”yuxin,” she breathed, her voice barely a whisper.

mo yuxin smiled against her skin, her tongue tracing the shell of su yubing’s ear. ”i’m right here,” she murmured, her fingers moving faster, pushing su yubing closer and closer to the edge.

su yubing cried out as the pleasure finally overtook her, her body trembling as wave after wave of ecstasy washed over her. mo yuxin held her close, her own breathing ragged as she pressed soft kisses to su yubing’s forehead.

they lay together in the afterglow, their bodies still tangled together, the only sound in the room the soft, steady rhythm of their breathing.

the next morning, the maids gathered outside embarrassingly early.

no one wanted to admit why they arrived early, but all of them arrived anyway.

one maid whispered, ”do you think they are awake?”

another whispered back, ”if they are not, why are you listening so hard?”

a third tried not to laugh.

eventually the door opened.

mo yuxin stepped out first, looking entirely relaxed, while su yubing followed shortly after, composed as always though her hair was still only half tied.

the maids immediately bowed, though several clearly looked far too curious.

mo yuxin noticed and smiled lazily. ”good morning. why do all of you look like you discovered treasure?”

the youngest maid blushed and lowered her head quickly.

breakfast that morning felt different. not dramatic, just quieter in a good way.

mother su smiled the whole time.

father su looked at them both and finally said, ”now the city will talk for another month.”

mo yuxin picked up her tea calmly. ”then let them talk.”

su yubing did not answer, but beneath the table, her sleeve lightly touched mo yuxin’s.

and outside, azure dragon city indeed continued talking, because after the duel and the wedding, no one had any intention of stopping soon.

the su estate had been unusually quiet for the past two days. the servants whispered among themselves, casting curious glances toward the inner courtyard where mo yuxin and su yubing’s chambers were located. no one had seen the newlywed couple since the morning after their wedding. meals were left outside their door and quietly retrieved later, the plates always empty.

inside the room, the air was thick with the scent of sandalwood and the lingering heat of dual cultivation. the red wedding candles had long since burned down to stubs, replaced by the soft, ambient glow of pearl lamps. the bed curtains were drawn, creating a secluded world where time seemed to have stopped.

su yubing lay on her side, her dark hair a tangled mess against the silk pillows. her skin, usually pale and flawless, was flushed and marked with faint, reddish blooms—evidence of mo yuxin’s relentless attention. she was exhausted, her spiritual energy depleted and then forcefully replenished, only to be drained again in a cycle that felt both agonizing and euphoric.

”yuxin,” su yubing murmured, her voice hoarse. she tried to push away the arm that was draped heavily over her waist, but mo yuxin only tightened her grip, pulling su yubing flush against her.

”just a little more, bing’er,” mo yuxin whispered, her breath hot against the nape of su yubing’s neck. ”our cultivation bases are stabilizing so beautifully. i can feel your qi merging with mine.”

”you said that yesterday,” su yubing protested weakly, though she didn’t fight the hands that were already beginning to wander over her bare skin. ”and the day before. we haven’t left this room in two days.”

”why should we?” mo yuxin asked, pressing a soft kiss to su yubing’s shoulder. her fingers traced the curve of su yubing’s spine, sending a familiar shiver down the older woman’s back. ”everything we need is right here.”

su yubing let out a soft sigh as mo yuxin’s hand moved lower, cupping her hip and pulling her closer. the friction of their bodies sliding together sent a jolt of electricity through su yubing’s tired muscles. despite her exhaustion, her body betrayed her, responding instantly to mo yuxin’s touch.

”you are insatiable,” su yubing accused, though there was no real anger in her tone.

”only for you,” mo yuxin replied smoothly. she rolled su yubing onto her back, hovering over her with a predatory gleam in her eyes. mo yuxin’s hair fell in a dark curtain around them, framing her face. she looked wild, untamed, and utterly captivating.

mo yuxin leaned down, capturing su yubing’s lips in a deep, demanding kiss. her tongue swept into su yubing’s mouth, tasting of sweet wine and lingering desire. su yubing’s hands instinctively tangled in mo yuxin’s hair, pulling her closer as the kiss deepened.

as they kissed, mo yuxin’s spiritual energy flared, a warm, golden light that enveloped them both. su yubing felt the familiar surge of power as their qi intertwined, a perfect balance of yin and yang. the dual cultivation technique they used was ancient and powerful, designed to harmonize their energies and elevate their cultivation levels. but in mo yuxin’s hands, it was also a tool of exquisite pleasure.

mo yuxin broke the kiss, trailing her lips down su yubing’s jawline and neck. she paused at the hollow of su yubing’s throat, sucking gently on the sensitive skin until a dark mark bloomed there. su yubing gasped, her back arching off the mattress.

”yuxin, please,” su yubing breathed, her hands gripping mo yuxin’s shoulders.

”please what?” mo yuxin teased, her hand moving down to cup su yubing’s breast. her thumb brushed over the hardened peak, eliciting a sharp intake of breath from su yubing. ”do you want me to stop?”

”no,” su yubing admitted, her voice barely a whisper. ”don’t stop.”

mo yuxin smiled, a wicked, triumphant expression. she moved lower, her kisses trailing down su yubing’s stomach, pausing to nip at her hipbone. su yubing’s breath hitched as mo yuxin’s fingers finally found their way between her legs, parting the slick folds and stroking her sensitive center.

the sensation was overwhelming. su yubing’s hips bucked upward, chasing the friction. mo yuxin’s fingers moved with practiced ease, finding the perfect rhythm to drive su yubing to the edge of madness. the spiritual energy flowing between them amplified every touch, making the pleasure almost unbearable.

”you’re so wet for me, bing’er,” mo yuxin murmured, her voice dark with lust. she slipped two fingers inside su yubing, stretching her gently before beginning a slow, rhythmic thrusting.

su yubing cried out, her head tossing back against the pillows. the combination of physical stimulation and the intense flow of qi was intoxicating. she felt as though she were floating, untethered from reality, anchored only by mo yuxin’s touch.

”more,” su yubing begged, her pride completely forgotten in the face of such overwhelming pleasure. ”yuxin, please, more.”

mo yuxin obliged, increasing the pace and depth of her thrusts. her thumb continued to circle su yubing’s clitoris, applying just the right amount of pressure. su yubing’s body tensed, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. she was close, so close.

”let go, bing’er,” mo yuxin commanded softly. ”give it to me.”

with a final, desperate cry, su yubing shattered. her body convulsed around mo yuxin’s fingers, waves of intense pleasure crashing over her. the spiritual energy between them flared brightly, a blinding flash of light that illuminated the dim room. su yubing felt her cultivation base surge, the bottleneck she had been facing for months finally breaking under the sheer force of their combined qi.

mo yuxin held her through the aftershocks, pressing soothing kisses to her forehead and cheeks. as su yubing’s breathing slowly returned to normal, she opened her eyes to find mo yuxin watching her with an expression of pure adoration.

”that was incredible,” mo yuxin whispered, her thumb gently wiping away a stray tear from su yubing’s cheek.

su yubing let out a shaky laugh. ”i think i might die if we do that again.”

”you won’t die,” mo yuxin assured her, a mischievous glint returning to her eyes. ”in fact, i think your cultivation just broke through to the next realm. we should probably consolidate your new foundation.”

su yubing groaned, burying her face in mo yuxin’s neck. ”you are a monster.”

”but i’m your monster,” mo yuxin replied, wrapping her arms tightly around su yubing. ”and we have all the time in the world.”

the next morning, the sun was already high in the sky when the door to their chamber finally opened. the maids, who had been hovering nervously in the courtyard, immediately snapped to attention.

mo yuxin stepped out first, looking radiant and entirely too energetic for someone who hadn’t slept in two days. she stretched lazily, her dark hair falling in loose waves down her back. su yubing followed a moment later, her expression composed, though there was a noticeable flush to her cheeks and a slight stiffness in her gait.

the maids bowed deeply, trying their best not to stare.

”good morning,” mo yuxin said cheerfully, her eyes sweeping over the assembled servants. ”we’ll take breakfast in the garden today. and make it a large one. cultivating is hungry work.”

su yubing shot her a warning glare, but mo yuxin only smiled, entirely unrepentant.

as they walked toward the garden, su yubing leaned close to mo yuxin. ”if you say one more word about cultivation, i will throw you into the lotus pond.”

mo yuxin laughed, a bright, clear sound that echoed through the courtyard. ”as you wish, my lady. but you have to admit, the results speak for themselves.”

su yubing couldn’t argue with that. she could feel the new power coursing through her veins, her spiritual energy more robust and refined than ever before. despite her exhaustion, she felt incredible.

they sat at a stone table in the garden, the morning sun warming their skin. the maids quickly brought out an array of dishes—steamed buns, congee, fresh fruit, and delicate pastries. mo yuxin ate with her usual enthusiasm, while su yubing picked at her food more delicately.

mother su and father su joined them shortly after, both looking relieved to finally see their daughter and new daughter-in-law.

”you two certainly took your time,” father su remarked, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

su yubing felt her face heat up, but mo yuxin didn’t miss a beat. ”we were very focused on our cultivation, father-in-law. bing’er even broke through to the next realm.”

father su’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. ”is that so? well, that is excellent news. it seems this marriage was a wise decision in more ways than one.”

mother su smiled warmly, reaching out to pat su yubing’s hand. ”as long as you are both happy and healthy, that is all that matters.”

su yubing glanced at mo yuxin, who was currently trying to balance a steamed bun on her chopstick. despite her ridiculous antics and insatiable appetite for both food and dual cultivation, su yubing couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

”we are very happy, mother,” su yubing said softly, a genuine smile touching her lips.
