Dual Cultivator Reborn[System In The Cultivation World]

Chapter 1040: Favour

”There is no need to get shocked over something so trivial. Even if I hadn’t learned about the little scheme you guys are cooking... it doesn’t pose any threat whatsoever. To be honest with you, it would have been better if I hadn’t found out. I missed my chance to get rid of every single trash in a single go!” Yohan casually responded, looking in the direction of the old man who was on his knees. Yohan knew he had missed a chance to wipe out every single traitor in a single move; the only reason he was taking action at this very moment was so he could learn about his father’s whereabouts.

”You guys are truly hopeless. I somewhat feel pity for you. Despite knowing you can’t stand against me, all of you are clinging to some far-fetched dream of getting rid of me,so you can sustain your position in the clan,”Yohan whispered, wondering what in the world they were smoking. Despite knowing he was beyond their understanding and reach , they were still trying so hard to remain in power.

The old man nervously gulped upon hearing Yohan. He could not move any of his limbs, feeling the crushing pressure mounting over his body.

”So what are you going to do, young master? Are you planning to kill every single one of us who did not want to yield to you?” the old man exclaimed while gritting his teeth. Yohan let out a long sigh, seeing him getting all riled up.

”Yeah, something like that... I am going to kill every single one of you. I am grateful for your services, but I don’t need traitors in my clan.” Yohan leaned forward, his gaze meeting the old man’s eyes. The old man’s heart skipped a beat upon seeing those cold eyes.

”It’s ridiculous that someone like you lived this long and didn’t even understand his own limits. In the face of true strength, you could only kneel or bow your heads to ensure your own survival. But nevertheless, I understand people get delusional as they grow old. I don’t blame you!” Yohan exclaimed, and the next moment, a sword engulfed in blood manifested in his hand. The old man’s eyes widened in shock, seeing that Yohan intended to kill him.

”Wait... I can become an asset! I served this clan...” With a horrified expression on his face, the old man tried his hardest, but before he could complete his words, Yohan beheaded him, sending his head flying. Yohan’s facial expression remained completely unchanged, even after killing someone who had served the clan for that long.

Elaine simply watched everything from the sidelines while enjoying her drink. She was unaffected by the gruesome death of the old man. At the same time, the sword in Yohan’s hand disappeared again.

”His one leg was already in the underworld; it was only a matter of time before that old man kicked the bucket anyway. Don’t you feel sad killing a poor thing?” Elaine asked in a sarcastic manner while tossing the bottle in Yohan’s direction. Yohan casually caught the bottle and gulped down the remaining alcohol in one go.

”Old men like him are very resilient bastards; they don’t die very easily. It’s better this way. I hope he rots away in the afterlife,” Yohan responded with a straight face.

”Your grandpa will be sad losing a father-like figure...”

”...”

”Ah, shit. I completely forgot about him. Well, I don’t think he will miss this old man,” Yohan casually stated, and the next moment, he got up on his feet and moved toward the door, which was barricaded from the inside where the grand elder was hiding.

The next moment, Yohan blasted the door open and entered the hall.

”I surrender... please don’t kill me!”

The figure of an old man could be seen on his knees with his head touching the ground. Yohan took a sigh in a defeated manner; he was hoping to get an earful of brave words from this old man, but alas, he was already on the ground trembling in fear.

”Lady Elaine, it’s time to return the favor!” Yohan tilted his head and looked at the woman right next to him.

Elaine raised her brows in surprise upon hearing Yohan, wondering about the favor she owed him. Seeing the confused and clueless look on her face, Yohan simply smiled.

”I am providing you a luxurious stay, good food, and the precious alcohol that I got from that old man. Now it’s your turn to repay me with some labor, isn’t that right?”

Elaine was taken aback hearing Yohan, but nevertheless, she nodded her head.

”What do you want?” she asked.

”There is one last place I have to visit. Can you bring this old man to my mother’s manor? I will meet you there!” Yohan looked at Elaine. Hearing him, Elaine simply felt disappointed, as she was genuinely enjoying Yohan’s company.

”Okay. Moreover, I am yet to meet with the rest of your family!”

”I understand!” With those words, Yohan disappeared from the place, leaving Elaine with the grand elder of the supreme pill, who was on the ground trembling in fear. Elaine simply felt pity for the guy; after all, he had a horrified expression on his face as if he had gone through some terrible shit.

”What in the world were you thinking... well, you are indeed a gutsy old fool, trying to kill a man who is surrounded by those powerhouses,” Elaine whispered in a low voice, her eyes deep as if she were lost in deep thoughts.

”Please let me go! I am just a pawn, those bastards are the real culprits...” the grand elder begged as he looked at Elaine with teary eyes. Elaine turned silent upon hearing him and seeing that look.

”It’s sad that you ended up getting used by someone else, you poor thing. But alas, I can’t do anything to help you; after all, I am just an observer!” With those words, Elaine grabbed the old man by his robe and soon left the pavilion in order to return to the matriarch’s manor.
