Dual Cultivator Reborn[System In The Cultivation World]

Chapter 1015: Elaine

”Damn... this is freaking good!” Yohan exclaimed as he tasted the liquor served by the old man. Lucine was sitting right before him, a bittersweet smile playing on his face.

Headless bodies were still lying on the ground. No one dared to leave the inn, let alone the tables where they had been seated, fearing Yohan might kill them if they made a move. The three beauties who had been following that man were also present, standing around the table where Yohan sat with Lucine.

Apart from these three, the old man—owner of the inn—was standing right next to the three women, holding a couple of liquor bottles in his hands and looking on nervously as Yohan tasted the drink.

The old man was scared for his life; after all, he had also cursed Yohan right in front of that imposter. From the very beginning, he had been keen to kick him out to save his own skin. He was certain that today was the day he would leave this world, and he cursed his fate for getting involved in such a mess.

He slightly tilted his head and looked at those three women. They were in the same boat, after all, having followed the wrong man who was pretending to be the heir of the Lin clan.

”Hey old man, what kind of liquor is this?” Yohan exclaimed, making the old man snap from his daze. He felt goosebumps all over his body when Yohan called out and signaled toward the bottle he had just sampled.

”My lord... this is called Mad Monkey Booze!” he responded in a trembling voice. He began explaining its origin and how the liquor was brewed; he was terrified, but nevertheless, he carefully explained everything.

”What a weird name... Mad Monkey Booze. Nevertheless, I like this one. Serve me two bottles and food which compliments this alcohol!” Yohan said while maintaining a calm and composed look on his face. He was excited, nothing like his old self when he was a different person.

The old man heaved a sigh of relief, but he never let his guard down around Yohan. Those bodies were still there, lying on the ground. The old man bowed his head and immediately signaled his staff to bring the liquor Yohan chose, then called the chef to prepare food that complemented the Mad Monkey Booze. The chef’s entire body was drenching with sweat; he could see the bodies on the ground and, for a moment, imagined himself lying there, joining the count.

Seeing him like that, the old man cursed him from the bottom of his heart, but alas, he couldn’t blame him for behaving that way.

A moment later, the chef came to his senses and immediately ran into the kitchen to make food that complemented the particular alcohol Yohan had chosen.

Once the chef left, Yohan finally looked at the trio who were standing there like statues. They were indeed beautiful women. Yohan felt bad for them; after all, the guy who tricked them had been pretending to be him, and he knew his name and the clan he was associated with held great significance inside the Northern Region.

”So, what are your stories?” He looked at the three of them and asked how they ended up here.

One after another, they started explaining their circumstances. Out of the three women, two belonged to a wealthy nearby merchant clan; they were cousins. Two months ago, the guy showed up in their hometown with his men and threatened their clan using the name of the mighty Lin clan. No one resisted. He took wealth from their family, and in the end, the two of them had to follow him reluctantly to avoid the total annihilation of the clan. Those two women started sobbing while explaining what kind of horror they had to face in order to save their clan. They had technically sacrificed themselves for the sake of their people; it was saddening.

Yohan turned silent hearing their side of the story. He felt bad for these two; these two were brave women.

”I am sorry you had to go through all of this just because some bastard was trying to play my character. I can’t change the past, but I’ll make sure you have a future ahead of you. You will be returned to your clan safely, and whatever that guy stole will be returned to your clan a thousandfold!” Yohan said as he looked at the two women.

Hearing Yohan’s words, the two of them were taken aback. After all, they had heard all kinds of rumors about him when it came to women.

”You don’t want to take us as your slaves...?” one of them asked in a trembling voice. Yohan nearly spat the alcohol onto Lucine’s face hearing those words from the woman’s mouth. He cursed whoever was spreading weird rumors about him, but alas, he knew he couldn’t control all those rumors or shut the mouths of those who spread them.

”You guys are free. You can do whatever you want, like a free spirit,” Yohan responded as he looked at the two women. Hearing Yohan’s words, the two of them started crying. They were happy after hearing Yohan’s intentions and knowing he had no plans to enslave them for his service.

The old man was surprised to hear Yohan, along with the people who were present there. Initially, all of them thought he was going to punish them or, worse, take them as his playthings; but alas, he was completely different with these two ladies.

”Thank you, Master Yohan, we will not forget this!” A moment later, the two of them bowed their heads to Yohan, knowing he had no intention of keeping them and that they were free to return to their clan.

But soon, the happiness the two of them were feeling disappeared when they noticed the third lady who was standing there. Yohan also noticed the uneasiness on her face. She was the one who had defended Yohan, pleading with the imposter to let him go.

”What’s your story? How did you end up with that guy?” Yohan finally asked, as he was interested in knowing her circumstances.

”My name is Elaine, please take me as your concubine.”
