Kana was taken aback as she heard Evelynʼs words, she felt the chilly sensation from head to toe but sometimes later she shook her head and took her masterʼs hand in her hand and looked at her with a baffled manner.

”Where are you going, you should be here with me, master you are a more reliable person than me now, I donʼt think I am going to stop him from cultivating if he decided to do that, he is not going to listen to me, you know him...” kana said knowing how stubborn yohan is.

”You have to stop him from making that mistake afterall you are his partner and your duty is to protect him, trust me kana if he tries to cultivate more like he will lose his life” Evelyn neared her lips to kanaʼs ears and whispered those words and a moment later she petted her head with a different smile.

”Now go to him and do what I say and donʼt turn your head back, you donʼt want to show her your crybaby face wonʼt you”Evelyn chuckled and whispered in a low voice.

Kanaʼs face slightly turned red and she nodded her head before disappearing from Evelynʼs sight, at the same time Cathrine was standing a few meters away not knowing anything after all nothing was audible to her and she didnʼt try to pry in the conversation between lady kana and Evelyn knowing she was in the presence of cultivators who are beyond her imagination, she donʼt want to mess things after all her goal was to get trusted by lady Evelyn so she could know everything about her mother.

”Stop daydreaming you are not good at hiding your emotions” in instant a voice resounded in Catherineʼs ear and hearing that voice she snapped out from her daze and look in the direction where Evelyn was standing a moment ago but to her surprise, she was not there, Cathrine freaked out and she turned behind as she felt a sight movement.

”Your movement is too shallow thatʼs the reason why he got you In the first place, with these shallow moves you will not stand a chance against a fierce enemy ” a cold sweat run down on Catherineʼs face as she saw nothing behind and heard a voice again that belong to Evelyn, she gulped and with a heavy heart, she turned back again and to her surprise, Evelyn was standing a few meters away holding a bottle of wine in her left hand and looking it with a calm manner.

”I am just a mere existence in front of you lady Evelyn in terms of cultivation and knowledge, how can I compete with someone like you who is sitting on the peak of the cultivation,” Catherine said in a polite manner but to her surprise, Evelyn chuckled hearing her words.

”Your words donʼt amuse me, little princess, you lack the courage and determination, I can see respect and admiration in your eyes for me just like every other person whom I met once in a while, but there are few in this world whom I admire” Evelyn tossed the wine bottle in her spatial ring and tilted her head in the direction of Cathrine who was looking at her with a somewhat confused manner, a moment later she shook her head and took a deep breath.

”I donʼt get it, my lady,” Cathrine asked.

”How well do you know your mother?” Evelyn said in a calm manner.

Hearing Evelynʼs words Catherineʼs eyes widened and she turned silent, she knew this is her chance to know about her mother after all lady Evelyn was the one who initiated the conversation regarding her deceased mother.

”I donʼt know anything related to her background, Iʼm just aware that she is someone who belongs to the eastern region, she was an outsider and my father married to her and the last thing I remember is that she died from a mysterious disease” Cathrine exclaimed as she looked at Evelyn and said to her in a serious manner.

”Mysterious disease huh, are you sure about that” suddenly a chill went down in Catherineʼs spine as she heard Evelynʼs words that are carrying the seriousness.

”What are implying lady Evelyn, ”Cathrine took a few steps and looked at Evelyn in a different manner, her voice trembling as she brought herself to ask those words to her.𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Evelyn took a deep sigh as she saw the eagerness along with the pain in Catherineʼs eyes.

”Your mother was a Peak Earth realm qi cultivator, she was a prodigy who achieved too many good things at her early age, but there was something else about her that few people knew about her despite her frightening talent in cultivation maria was an excellent healer, she was indeed a gifted individual and a dear friend of mine, her talent was frightening and she is destined to reach the peak of the cultivation but before she did that someone clipped her wings...”Evelyn clenched her fist and in instant the surrounding aura became chilly.

Cathrineʼs heart nearly skipped a beat as she heard Evelynʼs words, her facial expressions turned solemn knowing about her mother, she was not aware that her mother was a healer along with a cultivation genius, her mother never told her anything related to this, Cathrine clenched her fist and looked Evelyn in a serious manner.

”What happened to my mother lady Evelyn, lady kana told me that she was here one week ago before her demise, why did she come to you all the way here just a week before her demise, I donʼt know why but I am not getting a good feeling about this, my heart is aching while asking you this” Cathrine looked at Evelyn and asked.

”Someone used devilry and sealed her entire cultivation base, the last time I met her she was nothing more than a normal human, I tried everything to cure her but I canʼt able to help her even using all my knowledge, that was beyond my expertise,” Evelyn said as she placed her right hand on Catherineʼs shoulder and looked at her in a gentle manner.

”Your mother was a kind-hearted woman Cathrine, but she was surrounded by power-hungry people who destroyed her life” Evelyn whispered in a sad manner seeing tears rolling from her eyes knowing about her mother.
