Chapter 1501: Chapter 24: Aizen’s Viciousness

After finalizing the plan, Su Xiao returned to the 1st Squad Station, while Gin Ichimaru headed straight for the 3rd Squad. Aizen did not leave, seemingly enjoying the night view.

The next early morning, Su Xiao sat up in bed. Before the plan commenced, he maintained his previous disguise, but after last night’s meeting, the second ring of his main task successfully activated.

[Main Task: Battle of the Hōgyoku (Second Ring)]

Difficulty Level: Lv.38

Task Description: Assist Aizen in successfully seizing the incomplete Hōgyoku.

Task Length: 10 natural days.

Task Rewards: 3 true attribute points + 1 legendary treasure chest

Task Punishment: Forced execution.

...

The difficulty of the second ring of the main task is very high, but the rewards are plentiful. The thing Su Xiao lacks the most is true attribute points.

Judging by the task length, the main character of the plot, Ichigo Kurosaki, will be arriving in the Soul Society soon.

With nothing else to do, Su Xiao began manufacturing Spirit Particle Balls after getting out of bed. As for the situation on the camp shop’s side, it was not optimistic. After [Spiritual Corpse] was exchanged, the items in the camp shop were quickly cleared out, leaving only the Zanpakutō and some low-quality items.

Upon manufacturing 100 Spirit Particle Balls and quickly arriving at the 6th Squad Station, Su Xiao discovered that the Zanpakutō in the camp shop had already been exchanged, which shows that other Contractors in the Soul Society are not to be underestimated.

This way, the reputation in the Soul Society can only be used to elevate status, but status in the Soul Society doesn’t mean much to Su Xiao. Therefore, Su Xiao began living reclusively. Compared to the camp shop, the newly perfected model of Alchemy Bomb he was gradually developing was a bigger gain.

With plenty of materials to squander, Su Xiao immersed himself in the study of Alchemy Bombs. When tired, he took short naps, and when bored, he would invite Aizen for drinks.

In the long run, Yamamoto Genryuusai and Ukitake Retsu became more assured of Su Xiao, for they already saw that his goal was finding a research place rich in resources.

The Soul Society certainly welcomed this. Once Spirit Particle Balls circulated among the Soul Reapers, they were immediately marketed at high prices by major noble families like the Kuchiki family, one of the great noble families within the Soul Society.

As Aizen was good friends with Su Xiao, his 5th Squad became the priority beneficiaries of the Spirit Particle Balls. Sometimes, Su Xiao would allocate 80 pieces, leaving 20 direct for Aizen.

In response, Ukitake Retsu turned a blind eye. As long as the beneficiaries were Soul Reapers, she wouldn’t interfere excessively, though Old man Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamoto was somewhat displeased, as he was the general captain and needed to keep things balanced.

Ten days after Su Xiao entered the Soul Society, he successfully integrated into it, or rather, the Soul Reapers began to get accustomed to the presence of Soul Elixir and Spirit Particle Balls, especially the Spirit Particle Balls. The sensation of fullness when consuming Spirit Particle Balls, unlike eating food, was a satisfaction that originated from the whole body’s cells, making one unable to stop.

Within Su Xiao’s room, Su Xiao suddenly sat up in front of the experiment table, opened the sliding door, and then carefully shut it.

”Progress has been quite smooth?”

As soon as Su Xiao spoke, Bu Bu Wang suddenly appeared out of thin air; it came to meet Su Xiao.

Bu Bu Wang was excited, moving around Su Xiao in circles, and even gnawing on a wooden table in celebration.

Watching the wooden table as if it were thrown into a shredder, the corner of Su Xiao’s mouth twitched slightly. The destructive powers of Bu Bu Wang’s house-breaking skills had grown. I’m not sure if the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki’s family home is fine. Probably... not quite fine. ℯℯ𝑙.

Bu Bu Wang’s meeting with Su Xiao meant that Ichigo Kurosaki had arrived at the Soul Society, and Aizen’s plan was about to unfold.

”Bu Bu, go disguise yourself as a stray dog.”

Bu Bu Wang was stunned for a moment, then realized what was going on. If it wanted to follow Su Xiao openly, it needed an identity.

At noon that day, a dirty ’stray dog’ was added behind Su Xiao, which was exactly Bu Bu Wang.

”Yuck～”

Bu Bu Wang’s stomach twitched. Just now, it jumped into a garbage pit and rolled around a few times.

Su Xiao deliberately distanced himself from Bu Bu Wang, this creature was rolling joyously in the garbage pit earlier, the smell is too strong.

When Su Xiao returned to the 1st Squad Station, he did not deliberately explain anything, but just let Bu Bu Wang freshen up. Announcing he adopted a stray dog is rather suspicious.

...

The next morning. Su Xiao brought Bu Bu Wang outside, ready to have breakfast, but as he passed near the 5th Squad Station, a scream shattered the peaceful morning.

”Ah!!”

The scream filled with despair resonated, the sound came from the direction of the ’East grand sacred wall’, just ’coincidentally’ where Su Xiao was ’walking his dog’.

Su Xiao quickened his pace, and after passing a corner, he saw a young girl kneeling on the ground, her shoulders trembling.

Drip, drip...

Blood dripped from above, a corpse was pinned to the high wall with a Zanpakutō, the corpse was a bald Soul Reaper, clothed in Shinigami Clothing and wearing the Captain’s Cloak.

Su Xiao had never seen this victim, but that didn’t matter because in the eyes of others, the one pinned on the ’East grand sacred wall’ was Sosuke Aizen, this is the strength of Kyoka Suigetsu.

”Aizen... Captain.”

The young girl kneeling on the ground was Hinamori Momo, tears ran down her cheeks.

”I don’t want this; I don’t want this, how could Captain Aizen not have Spiritual Pressure? It’s impossible...”

Hinamori Momo was clearly on the verge of collapse. Hearing her muttering, Su Xiao confirmed, this was ’Aizen’ indeed.

Seizing the moment when no one was around, Su Xiao took a deep breath, brewing the emotions, he quickly approached.

”Ai... zen?”

Su Xiao’s tone seemed ’incredulous’, he stared ’blankly’ at Aizen on the high ground, not at the corpse disguised by Kyoka Suigetsu but at Aizen himself.

Aizen was standing on a high point on the ’East grand sacred wall’, in the eyes of Soul Reapers who had been hypnotized by Kyoka Suigetsu, Aizen was ’invisible’; they could only see the corpse below.

At a corner of the distant street, Gin Ichimaru stood with arms crossed against the wall, not yet time for his appearance.

Upon hearing Su Xiao’s voice, Hinamori Momo slowly turned her head, her face pale, eyes dull and without light.

Seeing Hinamori Momo’s expression, Su Xiao gained new insight into the malicious nature of Aizen.

”Mister Bai Ye, surely you must have a way, you certainly can, you can even create something as magical as Soul Elixir, right.”

Hinamori Momo climbed from the ground swiftly, running to Su Xiao, gripping his clothing tightly, like a drowning person grasping a lifeline.

”Aizen, is dead?”

Su Xiao didn’t look at Hinamori Momo, but instead, gazed at Aizen’s true self; at that moment, Aizen himself seemed awkward, suddenly having a feeling as if attending his own memorial service.

Acting was exhausting, thus Su Xiao awaited Gin Ichimaru’s entrance, but before Gin Ichimaru arrived, several Soul Reapers rushed in, they were a few deputy captains.

Izuru Kira, Matsumoto Rangiku, and other three deputy captains rushed in, upon seeing the corpse pinned atop, they instantly halted.

”No way.”

”This...”

Matsumoto Rangiku’s expression was a bit stunned; the murder of Captain of Squad 5 was a major event, entirely unforeseen.

”Mister Bai Ye... even don’t have a way to save Captain Aizen?”

Hinamori Momo staggered back a few steps, seemingly thinking of something, she slowly approached Aizen’s corpse.

”Captain Aizen!”

Hinamori Momo was completely in emotional breakdown, letting out a desperate wail.

”What happened? Making such a noise so early.”

A slightly playful voice broke the desperate atmosphere at the scene.

”Oh my, this is a big event, huh.”

Gin Ichimaru finally appeared, not to mention his acting skills, in terms of taunting ability, Gin Ichimaru was absolutely full level, ’Aizen is dead’ yet he had a kind of schadenfreude tone, or rather, this guy usually had such a tone.
