Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 3135: Chapter 3133: Promise

”I think I’ve gotten myself into a tricky situation here. It’s obvious it’s not working, you have to wonder what the boss is thinking.” Ou Xi turned his back, not watching Xiao Qiu change the patient’s clothes.

”Alright, didn’t you always say patients are genderless? Turns out you do differentiate.” Xiao Qiu finished changing the clothes and noticed Ou Xi hadn’t turned back yet, teasing him.

”I would be crazy to touch the boss’s reverse scale, especially when it’s his woman.” Ou Xi turned to glance at Xiao Qiu. If it were anyone else, it wouldn’t matter, but this one caught the boss’s interest. Although he couldn’t quite understand it, he hadn’t opposed it either.

He really didn’t know what kind of relationship the boss had with this woman. From what he knew, he hadn’t met someone like her before, so he couldn’t imagine what mindset the boss had towards this. He couldn’t say anything.

”I think this woman is quite pretty, but she seems to be pregnant, right? Where’s the father?” Xiao Qiu looked at Qin Xue’s belly.

If that weren’t the case, the boss liking her wouldn’t be a problem, but now what’s the deal?

”When you changed her clothes, did you notice any injuries on her body?” Ou Xi asked Xiao Qiu.

The boss didn’t let him check personally, so he had to rely on Xiao Qiu for details.

Even if the details might not be entirely accurate, it’s better than getting an earful from the boss.

”Besides the injuries on her forehead and crown, there’s nothing else. Her knees are slightly scraped, but that’s no big deal.” Xiao Qiu reported her observations and check-up to Ou Xi.

For situations like this, all she could do was narrate what she saw, one by one.

Since the boss is interested, there must be something special about her. She felt there was no need for concern because those were matters for the boss to worry about.

It’s not that Xiao Qiu was shirking responsibility, but she had neither the authority nor the need to manage those concerns.

”Let me take a look,” Ou Xi said, checking while speaking to Xiao Qiu. ”Later on, help her take the antipyretic, and then I’ll dress her wounds.”

”Okay.” Xiao Qiu wasn’t a maid, so she wasn’t intimidated by Ou Xi. There was nothing awkward in their interaction.

Moreover, she had been in similar situations, as she had assisted Ou Xi in saving people before. They worked well together.

There were no servants here, only brothers and sisters. Though the boss kept their roles distinct, they felt mutual assistance was beneficial.

That’s why everything felt good to them, because it’s rare for someone like the boss to maintain such a balance without abandoning them.

Furthermore, to some degree, Xiao Qiu felt the boss was great for treating them well.

At this moment, Xiao Qiu wouldn’t question the boss’s preference for a pregnant woman, because it’s quite nice that he’s able to take a liking to someone at all.

”No one else knows about this, just us and those close to the boss,” Ou Xi advised Xiao Qiu. ”Don’t spread the word recklessly. Be cautious with your words since we don’t even know what she means. It’s just what we’ve been thinking among ourselves.”

”Alright, I understand, no worries.” Xiao Qiu made a zipper gesture, indicating she wouldn’t spill the beans.

”Okay, go on,” Ou Xi said, looking at Xiao Qiu. This girl only showed this side around him; everyone else thought she was shrewd and steady, yet he was the only one who saw her playful side.
