Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1054: Chapter 1048: Giving Medicine_1

“I don’t know where your house is, but I saw a birthmark on your body when I performed surgery on you. It is a unique trademark of our Nangong family. The fact that it appeared on you, don’t you think it confirms you’re my cousin?” Qin Xue turned to look at Jing Xin.

“So, you mean you have it too?” Jing Xin pointed at Qin Xue and asked.

“Yes. Not just me, everyone with blood ties on my mother’s side has it. That’s why I said you might be my cousin. After all, you’re not from the Qins, are you?” Qin Xue wasn’t sure how best to explain this to Jing Xin. Sometimes she contemplated acknowledging him, but considering that he was alone now, she believed it was better to reveal it outright.

“Then why didn’t they want me?” Jing Xin asked after listening to Qin Xue’s explanation.

“How would I know? My mother hasn’t had contact with her side of the family in over twenty years since marrying my father. I don’t know why. If you want to know, you’ll have to find out on your own. However, if you run into my best friend, Nangong Beiying, you need to be nice to her. You can’t do anything inappropriate. She might be your sister, but whether she’s your full sister, half-sister, or cousin sister, I don’t know,” Qin Xue decided to disclose everything to Jing Xin.

This way, it would make it easier for Jing Xin to find clues, so she laid out everything. Besides, she was curious about what happened to her mother in the past and why there had been consistent non-communication with Yingying’s family.

“Okay, I understand. I will try my best to clarify everything. But why are you telling me all this now? From your state, it doesn’t seem like you just found out about it. After all, you’ve known my injury for a while now, haven’t you?” Jing Xin looked at Qin Xue, wondering if the situation would be different if she had told him right from the start.

“It’s because you’ve severed ties with the Jings now and you’re on your own, and Fang Xiu needs you. She’s about to give birth. If I don’t tell you now, who will take care of her during the confinement period?” Qin Xue looked at Jing Xin. With her current trip to the Imperial Capital, she might not be able to stay home. If no one is there to take care of Fang Xiu, what else could she do?

“Fine, I understand. I will manage the situation,” Jing Xin nodded, now comprehending the situation.

“My mother doesn’t know about this yet. Be careful with what you say around her, understand?” Qin Xue warned. She hadn’t told her mom about this and wasn’t sure how she would receive it.

“Okay, regardless, I need to thank you for telling me about this,” Jing Xin said, who thought he was an orphan until now. This new revelation from Qin Xue that he has family stirred mixed emotions within him.

“What are you guys talking about? Are you done yet? We should head back,” Chu Molin stepped in, sensing the odd atmosphere between the two.

“No big deal. I just told him he might be my cousin, perhaps he’s just stunned,” Qin Xue replied to Chu Molin with a laugh.

“Is everything cleared up now?” Chu Molin nodded and asked them.

“Mostly. What do you reckon, will Yingying be shocked when she sees him?” Qin Xue pointed at Jing Xin and asked Chu Molin.

“No.” Chu Molin picked up the bag from the ground and walked out of the place holding Qin Xue’s hand.

As for Jing Xin, looking at the two who’d just left him out of their conversation, he reluctantly followed. Was he being ignored by his boss?

Jing Xin didn’t want to be the third wheel. After all, he needed to win his wife back. If not, he’d be left all alone, isn’t that pitiful? The boss shouldn’t give him the cold shoulder. Jing Xin pursed his lips, thinking that he still had to follow them.
