Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Alka nodded and said, ”That’s exactly what we intend.”

Upon hearing this, Archbishop Ann nodded, then looked at Alka and the others, pondering before asking, ”Would you like to host the festival?”

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned.

Then, they all shook their heads in unison.

What kind of joke is that? To be honest, aside from experiencing the so-called Harvest Festival at the Homeland Sea, they hadn’t participated in one, let alone hosted it.

And this is the Holy City, the headquarters of the Holy Mother Church, the largest festival venue for the Harvest Festival, attracting countless pilgrims.

Allowing them, inexperienced people, to host it would be quite absurd.

”Young people should have more experience, really. But since you refuse, then forget it,” Archbishop Ann muttered.

Then looked at Alka again.

”Thank you for your previous contributions to the World Scar. Without your actions in the Dream Realm, the World Scar at that time would have incurred a huge cost.”

”What do you mean?” Alka asked, a little puzzled.

To be honest, he hadn’t received any information in this regard.

Looking at Alka’s expression, it didn’t seem fake.

Ann explained, ”When you ascended to divinity in the Dream Realm before, it made a considerable stir. Although only a few know, the timing of your ascension was a bit of a coincidence.

It happened to suppress the demons who were conducting a full-scale assault at that time, buying time for defense. If it weren’t for your ascension at that moment, the former Demon Defense Wall would have fallen.”

Upon hearing this, Alka nodded.

So that’s how it was.

But indeed, he himself didn’t know that his advancement from the Eighth Stage to the Ninth Stage would be in the Dream Realm’s ascension specifications.

It was also quite a coincidence.

”Even though the Demon Defense Wall has fallen...”

”What?”

This statement surprised Alka and the others.

”What’s there to be surprised about? You should have expected it, shouldn’t you? Is it that hard to accept?”

Although they had expected it earlier, the news of the Demon Defense Wall falling hadn’t been transmitted before. So they thought more defense measures were taken, and it held up.

”There’s no other choice, at least you earned them time to set up a more consolidated defense in the rear.

Oh, it’s such a distant road ahead, with no idea how to proceed,” Archbishop Ann muttered.

Then, as if resting, he sat back down and started busying himself again.

After chatting briefly, Alka and the others bid farewell and left.

Church staff soon led them to a place to rest.

But no one returned.

They continued to wander around the church.

Thus they started exploring this Holy Great Cathedral even earlier.

But just as previously mentioned, this Holy Great Cathedral was indeed exceptionally busy.

And it’s not Alka’s misperception; he noticed that many clerical staff carried varying degrees of disability.

Evidently, these personnel had retreated from the frontline.

Sigh.

...

Next day.

Just as the sky brightened, the sounds of festival atmosphere resonated outside.

The music celebrating the harvest spread throughout the island.

Alka and the others also rose early.

Led by church staff, they were seated inside the church.

At this moment, it was unclear how it was achieved.

The wall before the front gate of the Great Cathedral had completely disappeared.

Effectively connecting the entire hall in front of the Great Cathedral with the outside square.

On the square, whether it was the pilgrims, members of the merchant guild stopping by, or the island residents, they densely gathered outside. Only heads could be seen, and people were even seen sitting near nearby residential buildings and windows.

Almost everyone from the surroundings, the island gathered here.

And in this freshly brightened morning.

Although the sky showed no change.

This was still the most important time of the Harvest Festival.

Alka and the others sat inside the church.

A middle-aged man, probably significant to the church, stood on the podium.

Visible were some scars and bandages on him.

Then he began to speak.

Listening to the speech, Alka and the others understood.

The speech content was about various crises facing the world, the difficulties experienced at the frontline, and gratitude for everyone’s support over the years.

Finally, the children of the orphanage.

Wearing white clothes, they formed a choir and began singing.

They sang the ballad of the Holy Mother.

A kind of festival song.

Within the musical accompaniment, Julia stood among them.

It’s known that among all music enthusiasts, Julia’s reputation had long spread.

Indeed, her work had spread with the assistance of the Four Gods Church.

With the prelude falling.

The children’s singing began.

Julia seemed ready for a grand display.

A phonograph appeared next to her, followed by a huge harp.

She started playing.

Evoking all her treasures.

The music expanded.

Additionally, these children’s voices were also extended.

In an instant, the children’s chorus and music resounded across the entire island, even spreading to the sea.

This symbolizes the ballad of the Holy Mother.

Within the music’s evocation.

The Holy Mother seemed to project more Holy Light, and golden light dots fell slowly across the entire island from the sky.
