Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 133: Chapter 130: The Summoner’s Harmonica (5-in-10,000-word Mega Chapter, Extra Chapter Dedicated to Patron Zheyun)_3

Some of this intel is hard to trust; its credibility is really low.

Tossing the body casually on the ground, Alka looked him over and found almost nothing of value. Such a pauper.

The two slid down from the lookout tower onto the deck.

At this moment, two ordinary pirates were tied up with ropes on the deck, shivering as they looked at the tall shark merman before them.

Looking at these two pirates, Alka pulled out a small round stool, sat down beside them, and asked, ”Tell me what you’re doing here, and what’s your situation now.”

Hearing Alka’s question, both pirates remained silent for a moment. Driven by their desire to live, they naturally wanted to answer Alka’s questions immediately. However, thinking of Alka’s reputation, they hesitated, unsure what to do. No pirate had ever survived an encounter with Alka, which meant that even if he learned the information, he wouldn’t let them leave.

One of the pirates, after a moment’s thought, opened his mouth, about to try and bargain with Alka.

Seeing their demeanor, Alka couldn’t be bothered to interrogate them further. He simply raised his dagger and stabbed it into one pirate’s chest. The pirate struggled briefly and quickly died, the sight sending a profound shock through his companion.

Alka then pulled out the dagger. Blood sprayed out, splattering onto the face of the pirate beside him. Alka pressed the bloodied dagger against this pirate’s cheek and asked calmly, ”Now, will you talk?”

The pirate nodded frantically and quickly said, ”We came to this island mainly to track your whereabouts. The captain also predicted that we might find our target on an island in this direction.”

”And what’s your situation now?” Alka asked.

Hearing this, the pirate shook his head. Even with his life in Alka’s hands, he didn’t know how to respond. ”Our Pirate Gang... it might be dissolving. The captain, in his pursuit of you, completely disregards our lives and safety; he couldn’t care less if we live or die. More than half of our brothers have already fallen to the Church Knights.”

”Many others have gone mad here, and the captain won’t let us leave the Black Sea to recover.”

Hearing the pirate’s words, Alka nodded, a look of clear satisfaction on his face. Then, without a second thought, he sliced the dagger across the pirate’s throat, ignoring the man’s struggling form as he clutched at his neck.

Alka then looked towards Chadite, who had just jumped down from the ship onto the beach. She was pressing her hands into the sand, semicircular silver ripples expanding outward in front of her as she scanned the entire island.

As her strength grew, her reconnaissance abilities had also advanced, though this particular method only maximized her range. As for its precision? Well, it was better than nothing.

After a while, Chadite opened her eyes, turned her head, and said, ”There are indeed living beings. They seem to be heading back.”

”Heading back, huh? Alright, let’s hide immediately,” Alka responded.

While dealing with the remaining personnel on the ship, Alka had already gathered any slightly valuable items. Before disembarking, he casually flicked his wrist, and three cards scattered in the air, landing in different places on the ship.

Pororo remained hidden in the sea, while Alka and Chadite took cover behind the wreckage of a nearby ship. They waited there quietly for these pirates to board their vessel. At that time, they would be ready to receive the big gift Alka had prepared for them.

Through Alka’s unique method, the bloody scent from the corpses on the ship began to waft from the shore onto the island with the sea breeze.

The Pirate Captain, leading a group of pirates back to the ship, was joking and laughing when he suddenly detected the scent of blood carried on the sea breeze. He frowned immediately, halted, and raised his right hand, signaling the pirates following him to stop.

”What’s wrong, Captain? Is there a problem?” a pirate holding a lantern with a Lighting Stone asked from the side. He then met the captain’s clearly annoyed gaze.

Another pirate from behind smacked the talkative one and pulled him aside, clearly signaling him not to disturb the captain’s assessment. So unobservant, the second pirate thought.

The Pirate Captain sniffed the air carefully, discerning that the scent likely came from humans. This was the central area, a place few dared to venture. Furthermore, their current mission was predicated on the belief that their target might be in this very region.

Mulling this over, his frown deepened, and he waved his hand gently. ”Stay alert! Something might have happened on the ship. Everyone, stay sharp.”

Hearing this, the pirates behind him immediately drew their weapons. Following their captain, they cautiously approached the shore, their steps betraying a slight anxiety.

By the time they reached the port area, the scent of blood had grown overpowering. The Pirate Captain could now clearly trace its origin to their ship. However, seeing their ship still intact, all the pirates breathed a collective sigh of relief. As long as the ship was alright, that was what mattered most.

As a precaution, the captain whistled softly. Yet, no one responded from the deck or the lookout tower; only the faint glow of Lighting Stones flickered on the ship.
