Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 97: Chapter 96: The One Who Prays for Peace_2

However, at her words, the three of them only retreated slowly, showing no intention of engaging with her, while still aiming their guns at her.

”She really is just a Spiritual Body, just like me.” Lucilia’s voice reached Alka’s ears.

”You are members of the Holy Mother Church, right? I’m also a believer of the Holy Mother. For the Holy Mother’s sake, please help me.”

Hearing this, Gami involuntarily paused, causing Jason to stop as well.

Seeing their movements, Alka also had to stop.

Seeing them stop, the girl looked as if she had grasped a lifeline.

”I saw the laurel crown on your head. If you weren’t a believer of the Holy Mother, it wouldn’t emit Holy Light.”

”I won’t ask you to help me for nothing. I have many things on other islands, and I will tell you their locations.”

Hearing this, Jason couldn’t help but say, ”Mere words are no proof. Who knows if you’re bluffing us?”

”Besides, the darkness here isn’t something we can resolve,” Gami added from behind.

On account of being fellow believers of the Holy Mother, they were willing to engage in simple explanations and communication. They even lowered their guard somewhat.

Jasmine quickly waved her hands. ”No, no, no, you don’t need to clear the darkness here. I just hope you can find a way to lead me to the Holy Mother’s Soul Kingdom, let me escape this place, truly die, and attain peace.”

When she said this, Alka clearly saw the intense struggle on Gami’s and Jason’s faces. Her words suggested that this young lady was almost certainly a believer of the Holy Mother. The peace she sought was to find a way, with the Holy Mother’s help, to enter Her Soul Kingdom and truly die. This was preferable to being painfully imprisoned within this dark realm as she was now.

Standing by and offering no help would be very difficult for Gami and Jason. After all, they were members of the Holy Mother Church, and the Holy Mother was indeed a real Divine. Her teachings were widely accepted by the masses, and the Church had always been dedicated to upholding them. They were true believers.

Jason spoke first. ”Then how can we help you? We’re not Archbishops. We don’t have the ability to perform ceremonies like Soul Crossing.”

Jasmine was surely aware of this. She simply wanted to seize this opportunity. Jason’s words shattered that hope, causing her soul to waver. An expression of despair appeared on her face.

She lowered her head, murmuring, ”I can hardly hold on anymore. The darkness here is about to erode my soul, and I’m about to fall into evil like those Evil Spirits outside, forever.” As she spoke, she couldn’t help but hug herself and begin praying. She prayed for the Holy Mother to guide and forgive her.

At this moment, Gami’s tightly furrowed brow relaxed. He seemed to have thought of something and quietly whispered to the other two, ”If we find the Holy Artifact this time, we can use it to directly perform a Soul Crossing for her.”

”Is it feasible?” Jason asked. He wasn’t very familiar with this.

Gami nodded. ”Don’t worry, it definitely will work, if we can find it.”

This was the prerequisite for being able to help others, as well as for the success of their current mission. After speaking, they both turned their heads towards Alka.

Alka nodded. ”I have no objection. If we do find it, I believe the Captain would also be willing to help.”

After all, the entire Treasure Hunting Team was a covert force of the Church. Everyone was a member of the Church and a believer of the Holy Mother. How could they not offer help?

At this moment, Jason turned his head to Jasmine and said, ”We might have a way to help you, but you’ll have to hold on for a while.”

”Can you bring an Archbishop here?” the girl named Jasmine asked, somewhat surprised.

”No, it’s another method.”

As they continued to talk, Alka also quietly asked Gami, ”If she really is the devout believer she claims to be, and still in this place, do you think she might know which island the Holy Artifact is on?”

Hearing this, Gami suddenly shot up from his seat, excitedly punching the iron panel of the cockpit beside him. Then he winced and shook his hand.

”Yes! Why didn’t I think of that?” He immediately tugged Jason with his tentacles and said, ”Do you know where the Sword of Love was around the time you died?”

”Sword of Love?” The sudden question left Jasmine a bit dazed. She then furrowed her brow in pain. Her prolonged death and imprisonment in this darkness had already left her soul in a daze.

”Sword of Love... Sword of Love... I remember now.”

”The Sword of Love was on a grace pilgrimage at that time. Yes, yes, I even said I would go on the day of the pilgrimage.”

”It was right nearby... yes, right next to Pavala Island.”

She spoke haltingly, but finally recalled the location of the Sword of Love that Gami had mentioned.

”Pavala Island? Which one is that? The nearest one?” Jason quickly asked. Hearing Gami’s question, he also realized why they were asking.

”No, no, that’s Pames Island. The one further up is Pavala Island.”

They understood. Andre and his team were currently heading to Pames Island. Their planned final destination, Pavala Island, was where the Sword of Love was truly located. Now, they were quite certain that the young lady was indeed a believer of the Holy Mother.

”Rest assured,” Gami said. ”If it’s truly as you say, once we find the Sword of Love, we will use it to perform the Holy Mother’s Soul Crossing for you, guiding you into Her Divine Kingdom.”

”Moreover, by providing this information, you’ve already assisted the Church. If we find the Sword of Love because of it, the Holy Mother might show you even greater favor,” Alka added.

Hearing this, Jasmine grew more hopeful, and her soul seemed to stabilize slightly. This was something Lucilia had taught him: positive emotions could stabilize a soul, preventing it from sliding into darkness in such an environment. After all, the female Spiritual Body before them looked as if she was about to lose her grip.

Jasmine nodded vigorously in response to their words. Then, she suddenly thought of something and floated upwards. Beneath her lay a box, embedded in the floor. She waved her hand. The box’s lid opened automatically, and she began to look inside.

”I don’t know how much time has passed, but perhaps these things can help you.”
