Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Sad’s 12 Treasure Vaults

After reading the information, Alka had a clearer understanding of their current target.

Sad was the Governor of Meister Island 260 years ago and the second son of a once-great noble family. He possessed excellent navigation skills and an adventurous spirit. In his youth, he had founded a Treasure Hunting Team, discovered numerous treasures, and used them to expand the branch of the family he had established. Ultimately, he successfully developed Meister Island, making it an important member of the Blood Gold Alliance.

His wealth was said to be immeasurable, his personal fortune undoubtedly among the top in the Alliance. Additionally, he had a penchant for collecting rare treasures. In the countless years after his death, the Treasure Vaults he had hidden were frequently discovered.

According to legend, he possessed a total of twelve Treasure Vaults in his lifetime. Their contents varied in value. Of the three largest, two had already been found. What they were now searching for was the last and largest of these Treasure Vaults.

After their initial exploration, Andre’s Treasure Hunting Team believed the treasure was on this island.

Chadite, seeing Alka had almost finished reading, added from the side, ”About a year ago, we found a small Treasure Vault on the island. It’s also one of the Twelve Treasures. Through that Treasure Vault, we confirmed that the largest one is also hidden on this island.”

Hearing this, Alka nodded. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly asked, ”So, what’s the main difficulty we’re facing now?”

”We found the key to the Treasure Vault, but we don’t know its exact location,” Jason replied from the side.

Upon hearing this, Alka placed the map they handed him in front of him. He blinked, his gaze sweeping over it as if studying it carefully. Several important locations and potential sites were already marked on the map. As he blinked, spots of light appeared on the map one after another.

It’s unclear if these have been searched.

Only two white spots and two blue spots remained on it now. Following his habit, he began by clicking on the white dots.

The first white dot: an Ordinary Treasure, no further information.

Considering the vast amount of information already gathered, a treasure that still didn’t show a name evidently had no connection to their current target.

As he clicked open the second white dot:

[Sad’s Twelve Treasures – No. 5]

[Difficulty: Insect Enthusiast]

[Fame: 1,837,300]

[Treasure Information: Due to personal reasons in his youth, Sad lost his ability to reproduce. He knew clearly that none of his descendants were his own. Therefore, he never intended to leave his wealth to his offspring. Driven by his adventurous spirit and love for treasure hunting, he divided his treasures into twelve parts, hiding them in different locations.

No. 5 Treasure Vault: One of the nine smaller Treasure Vaults. It stores various precious specimens and valuable statues, has no trials, and a total value of 50 Golden Sail.

The key is an insect unique to the island, symbolizing adventure and fearlessness.]

...

Looking at this Treasure Vault’s description, Alka was somewhat dumbfounded.

The Difficulty is ’Insect Enthusiast.’ Combined with the information below, it’s clear that to decipher this, one must have knowledge of insects. Secondly, this Fame is simply incredible. Nearly two million people know the legend of this treasure; it’s evident how famous it is. And the Treasure Information below is even more astounding.

Combined with the information he had and the additions from Chadite and Jason, He pretty much knew most of the critical information now. With this information as a foundation, the Treasure Information provided by the system practically handed the treasure to Alka. It was just short of delivering it to him personally.

Alka was once again convinced that future treasure hunting should primarily focus on information gathering. As long as enough information is known, a Treasure is practically within grasp. But this is Treasure Vault No. 5, one of the nine smaller Treasure Vaults. It’s not Andre and his group’s target for this trip.

With this in mind, Alka shifted his gaze to the blue light spots.

Magic Treasure, no associated information.

He looked at the last one.

So, what about this one?

[Sad’s Twelve Treasures – No. 3]

[Difficulty: Touched One (One Spiral)]

[Fame: 1,837,300]

[Treasure Information: Due to personal reasons in his youth, Sad lost his ability to reproduce...

No. 3 Treasure Vault: One of the three large Treasure Vaults. It stores various forms of wealth and several magical items.

This Treasure Vault contains trials. Opening the trials and the main door requires two keys:

The Palm Disc, stored in Treasure Vault No. 1, and the Insect Disc, stored in Treasure Vault No. 5.]

Alka frowned, staring at the map.

The Difficulty, ’Touched One,’ clearly referred to someone possessing Extraordinary Power. The suffix (One Spiral) indicated the specific power level of a Touched One.

When humans touched a Treasure, they unlocked the Magic Veins within their bodies, causing their inert Magic Power to become active. But this only served as a catalyst. Although the Magic Power within became active, its activity was limited, and the total amount wasn’t very large. At this point, one needed to control the Magic Power within and channel it through the Magic Veins to open other Magic Veins. When the first Magic Vein was completely opened, a closed loop formed within the body. This was called a Spiral.

Combined with the information provided below, ’trials’ implies there will be combat.

He was now primarily concerned with the keys required to activate the trials and open the main door. Treasure Vault No. 1 had already been opened by Andre and his group, and they had obtained the Treasure inside. They had just mentioned acquiring the key.

That must be the Palm Disc. This means they might not yet know that to fully obtain the Treasure, they also need the Insect Disc, which requires opening Treasure Vault No. 5.

Thinking this, Alka narrowed his eyes slightly.

To open Treasure Vault No. 3, this major Treasure Vault, Andre and his group had actually only fulfilled half the conditions. They were unaware that if I provided this information, it would be a major contribution. Likewise, they were completely unaware of the existence of Treasure Vault No. 5. By providing complete information about Treasure Vault No. 5, the two contributions combined would be more than enough for me to meet their requirements. To secure a spot, to touch a Treasure, to truly step into the Extraordinary world!

At this thought, Alka felt a surge of excitement.

But I mustn’t rush. I have to proceed step by step, revealing my information bit by bit. Otherwise, it could arouse suspicion and expose my unique nature. Even though Andre was introduced by Parker... I don’t know him well enough. My peculiarities must not be exposed. However, I can disguise them as some sort of talent... a keen instinct for treasure hunting and a different way of thinking. After all, I can deduce the process from the results.

With this thought, a clear plan began to form in Alka’s mind.
