Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Regarding this, Ian Shelby will surely agree; it’s only human nature, and he can understand.

After all, as long as Janelle is willing to accept it herself, everything will be moving in a positive direction. Ian sees hope, and he naturally is willing to wait.

Janelle Mills said to him, ”I will give you a reply as soon as possible.”

”Alright.” Ian also finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After finishing their coffee, Ian left with Janelle, and the two returned to the hospital.

In the hospital lobby, Ian was stopped by a doctor who was about to ask him something, so Janelle took the elevator upstairs by herself.

Exiting the elevator, Janelle Mills came to the front of the patient room. As she gently pushed open the door, she saw Old Mills rise from his chair and turn his eyes towards her, ”Janelle, come over; Dad and Mom have something to tell you.”

It seemed they had been waiting for her for a long time.

Her father came over, holding his daughter’s arm, and led her to the chair, pressing both hands on her shoulders, letting her sit down.

This left Janelle Mills a bit at a loss, and she quickly turned to ask, ”What’s going on? Why so serious? What’s happening?”

Is it related to her background? Is there going to be a family meeting?

”Janelle, you previously did not intend to acknowledge your roots because you didn’t know who your biological parents were.” Carlotta Sterling leaned back against the headboard, holding her daughter’s hand, ”Now that you know, Mom believes that fate has destined it, and you must acknowledge them.”

Initially, she thought Carlotta might disagree, but surprisingly these words came out of her strong-willed sister Sterling’s mouth?

Janelle Mills looked at her, truly surprised.

At this moment, Old Mills sat down on the edge of the bed and also looked at his daughter, beginning to analyze—

”Janelle, Dad also supports you acknowledging them. In this world, the more friends you have, the more paths you can take, let alone having more relatives.”

Her father’s voice was so earnest and sincere, and his opinion was strangely consistent with her mother’s.

This left Janelle Mills a bit at a loss. She looked at her mother leaning against the headboard and then at her father sitting on the edge of the bed, thinking that they probably discussed this matter for a long time last night, likely not sleeping a wink?

Did they come to this conclusion after struggling within themselves?

”Janelle, on your end, the main point is this.” Carlotta’s thoughts were particularly clear as she said to her, ”If it’s because you were abandoned for being a girl, then you absolutely shouldn’t acknowledge them, not in a million years!”

Outside, Ian Shelby, who was just about to raise his hand to knock on the door, stopped because the door was ajar and not fully closed, allowing him to clearly hear the voices inside.

He paused for a moment, hearing Carlotta say, ”But now it’s different; you’ve been missing for so many years, and they’ve never given up searching for you. Just based on this point, you should know how important you are in their hearts, how significant you are.”

Before Janelle Mills could express her opinion, Nathan Mills spoke again, ”Janelle, now that they’ve found you, if you’re unwilling to acknowledge them, I think no one could bear that kind of blow; not finding you might still leave a sliver of hope.”

Afraid that their daughter would be too stubborn to acknowledge them, this couple was practically taking turns indoctrinating their daughter.

Acknowledge, acknowledge, acknowledge! You must acknowledge them!

Janelle Mills looked at them both, and finally understood that Sister Sterling and Old Mills strongly supported her acknowledging them!

And Janelle Mills herself, after Trevor’s guidance, combined with her conversation with Ian Shelby, leaned toward acknowledging them internally.

Even though she didn’t have to make much effort to persuade them, Mr. Mills and Mrs. Mills agreed.

However, Janelle Mills didn’t appear particularly happy; instead, she spoke with a serious expression, ”Okay, but you have to agree to one condition.”
