Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

At this moment, even though Taylor had come, he was not truly convinced, feeling somewhat like he had been forcibly dragged here by his mother, his injured face showing a stubbornness of defiance.

He resembled a spoiled brat, avoiding direct eye contact with Ian Shelby—not because he dared not, but out of disdain.

Ian Shelby’s face was solemn and cold as his gaze glided lightly over the three of them, leading Jocelyn downstairs, aware of their current thoughts.

Jocelyn Morgan felt a bit uneasy, swallowing nervously, her expression somewhat unnatural. Such an event occurring to her made her feel a bit ashamed and somewhat embarrassed.

After descending the stairs, Ian Shelby stood with Jocelyn in front of the three of them.

With only a meter apart, Ian’s expression remained grim, a piercing light flashing in his eyes, showing he did not wish to see these people.

”Hello, Prince.” In a show of courtesy, Julie performed a respectful bow.

Jocelyn Morgan snapped back to attention, ”Hello, Princess.” Her voice was soft, with a faint trace of anxiety.

A son beaten like this, surely the mother must be heartbroken?

But Jocelyn Morgan did not want to escalate the situation further, so she was organizing her words, trying to explain the incident from start to finish, not wanting the Princess to hear only Taylor’s side of the story.

”Miss Morgan.” This time, Catherine spoke up, sighing lightly, ”Prince Louis, Taylor’s actions today were inconsiderate. I’ve brought him here to apologize.” Her sincere attitude was unexpected.

Ian Shelby’s visage remained cold, his gaze landing on the woman’s face, ”Just inconsiderate? This is scumbag behavior.” His icy gaze was chilling.

”Yes, yes, yes.” Catherine nodded quickly, not daring to anger him, ”It was indeed scumbag behavior, and you’ve already given him a stern lesson, he will surely remember it.”

Ian Shelby understood, it was still the mother apologizing, wasn’t the son capable of speaking? So Taylor was forced to be here, right?

Taylor hadn’t realized the gravity of the situation.

Ian Shelby was not angry, he just gazed deeply at Catherine and asked, ”And what if this had succeeded today? What would the Princess think?”

His question made Catherine’s heart skip a beat, she remained silent, at a loss for words.

Succeeded?

She really didn’t dare to imagine!

Wouldn’t the King be furious?

If Miss Morgan couldn’t handle the pressure, she might...well, commit suicide?

In the tense atmosphere of this conversation, Jocelyn Morgan felt very uncomfortable as well. As the party involved in the incident, she also fell silent.

Ian Shelby’s gaze fell on Taylor again, a cold smirk pulling at his lips, ”I was too easy on you, no need for an apology, just let me beat you for another ten minutes to vent a bit, okay?”

His words did not sound like a joke, startling Catherine and Julie!

Meeting his cold stare, Taylor instinctively took a step back, the pain reawakening, making his scalp tingle.

”Taylor!” Catherine turned, urgently lowering her voice to remind him, how could he still show no attitude? Hurry and apologize!

Julie stood solemnly beside him, worried for Prince Taylor on one hand, and concerned that this might escalate to the King on the other.

And Taylor suddenly sobered up, beginning to fear his father... If his father found out, he might get ten people to jointly beat him up.

He’d been mischievous as a child, and his father had been furious once, resulting in a severe beating.

With a thud, Taylor’s knees buckled, catching even his mother by surprise, and he knelt before Ian Shelby—

”Bro, I was wrong! Forgive me!” he said loudly, looking up.
