Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 820: Chapter 820: I Love Finn Morgan, and I Want Him!

The banquet had already begun, and the two birthday stars finished their speeches on the floral-decorated stage in the ballroom, while a renowned violinist started playing melodious dance music live.

The banquet transitioned into the dance segment.

This meant that young people who enjoyed dancing could freely choose a dance partner and share a dance in this grand ballroom, jointly celebrating for the elderly guests.

”CEO Kingston, may I have this dance with you?”

The Kingston family of four were originally chatting, when a brightly dressed girl, having mustered her courage for quite some time, approached them, catching Justin Kingston completely off guard with her opening line.

Mia Lane had a smile on her face and was not stingy at all.

Justin Kingston’s voice was deep as he politely declined, ”Sorry, I don’t like dancing.”

”You don’t need to like it, someone as successful as you must know how to dance. As long as you don’t reject me, it’s fine,” the girl’s excited voice trembled slightly, ”You are a national heartthrob, pursued by countless girls; I’m really thrilled to see you today!”

Justin Kingston looked at her, exuding an aura of being untouchable, ”Miss, I was quite clear just now.”

”Is it because your wife is present?” The girl quickly looked at Mia Lane, pleading, ”Mrs. Kingston, could you...”

”It has nothing to do with me.” Mia Lane’s lips curled slightly, her gaze carried a hint of indifference, ”He refused; it’s his personal desire to refuse.”

The girl was suddenly at a loss for words, looking pitiful and vulnerable.

When she looked at Justin Kingston again, his gaze and aura were no longer as gentle, which scared her into not daring to persist. Hesitantly, she turned and left.

At this moment, having had a few drinks and under the influence of alcohol, Melissa Merce walked towards Finn Morgan.

”Young Master Morgan, may I have this dance?” Melissa’s lips curled up slightly as she stood in front of him.

Finn hadn’t expected her to still want to ask him for a dance.

Before he could refuse, Melissa spoke again, ”On an occasion like today, you wouldn’t reject me, right? That would make you as the host seem stingy.”

Finn saw Hailey Hale coming out of the restroom and walking towards them.

He smiled lightly and extended his hand.

Melissa thought he had agreed and quickly extended her hand, her smile deepening as she planned to take the opportunity to fall into his arms later.

Finn took a step forward, his distinct fingers gently slid across Melissa’s delicate hand, causing her chest to tighten as she suddenly turned her gaze—

Only to see Finn holding Hailey Hale’s hand, with his other arm wrapped around her waist.

”Darling, let’s dance,” Finn whispered softly in her ear, his voice gentle as the wind.

Hailey couldn’t help but smile as she said softly, ”I don’t know how to ballroom dance, only street dance.”

”I’ll teach you.”

Left in the lurch, Melissa was extremely saddened as numerous reporters began taking photos. Instinctively, she stepped back a few paces, leaving the spotlight to this young couple.

Finn didn’t save face for her, even in this kind of setting, even in front of the media.

Melissa’s heart was utterly broken.

Walking out of the banquet hall, the cool evening breeze stimulated every cell of her body, and her heart died completely.

”Let’s go, Cindy.”

Her father’s familiar voice drifted into her ears, and Zachary Merce wrapped his arm around her shoulders, guiding her towards the family car.

It wasn’t until the car door was opened that Melissa came to her senses, stopping and turning to look longingly at the brightly lit banquet hall.

Scenes of her interactions with Finn during their school days flashed vividly in her mind.

”Melissa, face reality, you lost.”

”...” The girl’s nose stung, ”I won’t lose, I love Finn, I want him!”
