Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 727: Chapter 727: I’m Sorry, I Was Late

”Watch out for the sheet metal underfoot!” she painfully reminded him.

When Finn Morgan passed by the sheet metal, he leapt over it and immediately noticed her injured and bleeding calf. Heart aching, he scooped her up in his arms and quickly headed out of the ferry.

Behind him, Justin Kingston’s men were fighting two against four, making a loud commotion.

”Old Chapman!” Justin opened the car door and instructed, ”Take them to Ian Shelby’s place!”

”Yes, Mr. Kingston.”

Finn Morgan carried the injured Hailey Hale into the car. Justin shut the door, and the car sped away!

It would take some time to return to the city. Finn gently placed Hailey on the seat and quickly went to get the emergency kit.

”...” Tears welled up in Hailey’s eyes, her lips trembling slightly. She had a lot of grievances to express but didn’t know how to begin.

When Finn came over with the medical kit and saw her tears falling, he said, ”I’m sorry, I came too late.” He furrowed his handsome brows, looking very distressed.

”...” She was still very aggrieved, ready to speak but hesitated.

Finn opened the medical kit, ”Let me disinfect and stop the bleeding first.” He then squeezed her shoulder to show comfort.

”Hiss—”

She gasped in pain.

Finn looked at her arm, ”...” His chest tightened suddenly, ”Is your hand injured too?”

”My arm is sprained,” Hailey looked at him tearfully, ”I can’t move it; it hurts whenever I try.”

Damn it! Finn wished he could crush them to death.

”Then don’t move.” He quickly took out a disinfectant for her leg wound, ”Dr. Shelby will have a solution; he has many special painkillers there.”

While disinfecting, Finn said to the driver, ”Old Chapman, please drive faster!”

”Special Assistant Morgan, the car is at its fastest speed.” The driver also knew they needed to hurry.

Finn couldn’t stand to let her suffer for even a second longer; he was extremely worried, ”Hailey, don’t worry, I will avenge you. Everything you’ve endured today, I will make her suffer tenfold!”

Hailey Hale sat in her seat, looking at him kneeling in front of her, and murmured, ”Is it really Melissa Merce?”

”Who else could it be?” Finn was convinced it was her; no other name crossed his mind.

The car drove towards the city—

Outside the abandoned ferry, the battlefield shifted outside. The four kidnappers were successively beaten to the ground, each clutching their wounds and huddling in agony.

”Speak, who sent you?” a subordinate of Justin demanded.

Justin’s eyes were cold as ice as he stared at them. He didn’t believe it was Melissa’s doing; Melissa was a bit unruly, self-centered, and had quite the princess syndrome.

But she wasn’t that malicious.

Monica Usher had done favors for Flynn, so he wouldn’t easily betray her. In a lawful society like this, he thought they wouldn’t kill him.

So, he decided not to speak.

”Speak or not!” The subordinate stomping hard on Flynn’s waist quickly assumed he was the leader here.

Flynn groaned in pain, biting his teeth stubbornly.

In Finn Morgan’s apartment at Celestial Heights.

A wronged Melissa Merce sat on the couch, hugging her knees and crying, her shoulders shaking, ”How could he do this? How could he be so ruthless? What right does he have to kick me out? I even have connections with Justin!”

Old Chapman was tidying up the mess in the master bedroom; it was a tiring, physically demanding task—too chaotic.

Initially, he would comfort the young lady, but hearing it too often became annoying.

She seemed trapped in a dead-end, making herself more miserable in the process.

”Old Chapman!!!”

”Yes!” Old Chapman quickly turned around.

”Did you even hear what I said?!”

Then he heard the young lady’s heightened sobs, and Old Chapman hurried to comfort her, ”I heard, I heard. Don’t cry; someone like Young Master Morgan isn’t worth it.”

”Who says he’s not worth it?!” Melissa glared at him unhappily, ”I forbid you to speak about him like that!”
