Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 705: Chapter 705: Evidence of Sleeping Together

Melissa stopped in her tracks, and their figures quickly disappeared at the doorway.

”Miss, head-on confrontation isn’t a solution.” said the housekeeper as she tried to persuade her.

”...” But how could the proud Miss Merce swallow this? She was fuming.

It wasn’t until she was in the elevator, watching the numbers on the elevator wall decrease, that Hailey Hale snapped out of her daze. She turned to look at him, ”You... why did you come out here with me?”

She became anxious, gave him a shove, ”I can catch a cab back myself, hurry up and go back to her!”

”I’ll take you home.” Finn Morgan calmly met her gaze, then wrapped his arm around her shoulder, ”There’s no affection between us; the marriage was arranged by our parents.”

”You don’t need to explain...” She felt rather awkward.

Finn Morgan didn’t say anything more, and Hailey stood by his side, carrying bags, not breaking free from his hand on her shoulder.

In the apartment, Melissa was beyond furious, and she kicked the door hard!

”Miss...” The housekeeper frowned and reasoned, ”Please don’t get worked up, since Young Master Morgan hasn’t kicked us out, it means he still wants to communicate with you; he’s just sending that girl away, and it’s hard to get a cab on this luxury estate.”

The housekeeper’s words made some sense, and Melissa felt a bit calmer.

”Miss, please don’t get angry, take care of your health.”

Melissa had asthma.

The self-assured smile was gone from her face, and tears welled up in her usually stubborn eyes, ”Housekeeper... they’re living together now.”

The housekeeper had no idea how to console her.

The woman came back to her senses, still holding onto a sliver of hope, she muttered, ”Do you think... could they just be ordinary friends?”

The truth was obvious, she just didn’t want to accept it.

The housekeeper couldn’t bear to repeat it, and that silence only made Melissa feel worse, ”Ha...”

After a while, the housekeeper comforted her, ”Miss, at least Young Master Morgan hasn’t kicked us out, we can still negotiate.”

But Melissa had a premonition that he wasn’t coming back tonight.

The housekeeper seemed more open-minded, ”Miss, actually, not being turned away at the door is already quite good, you’ve been looking for him for over half a year, it’s a perfect opportunity to look around his home.”

Hearing this, Melissa gradually came back to her senses and wasn’t as despondent.

So, she began to search the apartment for Finn’s living traces... trying to get a little closer to him this way.

Walking into the master bedroom that other girls had been in, Melissa opened the wardrobe, seeing a lace backless dress hanging inside, piercing her eyes and her heart.

”Miss...”

The housekeeper quickly took the dress off the hanger, ”I’ll throw it away for you, it won’t appear again!” With that, she turned and left.

Melissa took two steps back and didn’t check the wardrobe further.

She looked around the minimalist luxury master bedroom, feeling dejected as she stood beside the bed, afraid to imagine her fiancé rolling around with another woman here.

As she gently lifted the quilt, a long hair on the white sheets caught her attention, once again piercing her eyes, piercing her heart.

”They really slept together...”

She couldn’t smile anymore, couldn’t hold onto any hope, and stumbled backwards, with the housekeeper entering to support her, ”Miss!”

”The hair...” Melissa pointed at the sheet, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief, ”There’s a woman’s hair on it... Housekeeper, they slept together!”

The housekeeper helped her out of the master bedroom, and sat her down on the sofa in the living room.

Melissa couldn’t help but clutch at her waist, breaking down and crying!

The same night, at the Kingston Group.

Mia Lane came out of the jewelry making room, took the elevator upstairs, and entered the vice president’s office.

”Good evening, President Lane.” Barbara Sutton hadn’t left work yet at this hour.

”Mm.” Mia walked towards the desk and asked, ”Haven’t you finished yet?”
