Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Temporary Reinforcement

Formed a friendly relationship with Chansey.

It was mainly because this pink Little Egg was quite understanding and did not resist communicating with him due to its own grievous past.

Being abandoned twice and still having such composure, Baimu truly admired it and couldn’t help but glance more at its information.

Reading pure text was quite exhausting, but fortunately, he specifically purchased a reading pen before, stumbling over and over and always turning it into content he could understand.

[Pokémon: Chansey]

[Attribute: Normal]

[Gender: Female]

[Height: 108cm/Weight: 34kg]

[Trait: Natural Recovery]

[Level: Level 30]

[Moves: Pound/Round/Tail Whip/Lay Egg]

[Minimize/Sing/Healing Fluctuation/Healing Bell]

Only one attack move which is Pound? And it can only use nine moves in total, no wonder the ”original price” is only 1.1 million.

The Trainers in Pyrite Town are mostly short-sighted and value direct combat ability. For roles like support, team medic, and Special Shield, they don’t quite understand.

’No matter what Pokémon, it has to be a battle god!’

A very straightforward idea.

Baimu thought Chansey was very excellent. If it hadn’t been brought here, it surely would have become an outstanding Pokémon Nurse in the future.

”Almost a buried talent.”

Under Chansey’s puzzled gaze, he patted its fluffy head and, to avoid favoring one over the other, also patted Aron’s head.

After soothing the two real team members, it was time to turn to the outsider support from his big brother Liu Ge.

Each version of the Pokeball settings has slight differences, and the one that can shrink in front of him clearly doesn’t let you see inside, Baimu guessed it shouldn’t be a high-level Pokémon.

Because high-level Pokémon have pride, like Charizard, once it doesn’t acknowledge you, no one can change it. Thinking about it now, the Rhyhorn carrying Chaitian probably also didn’t acknowledge him.

”Anyway, you two, be a little vigilant.”

Baimu gestured for Aron and Chansey to step back.

However, Chansey obviously didn’t understand his signal, standing cluelessly in place. Fortunately, Aron was quite clever, very amicably dragging it backward by its little tail.

Only then did it retreat.

Bam.

White light flew out, transformed into a tender green shoot-like figure, with a slightly noisy wing-flapping sound following.

Buzz ——

”Vibrava!”

Baimu looked with some surprise at the giant antlion in front of him.

Should it be said that it’s a Pokémon from an officer? Compared to the two he saw earlier in the mine, this one is much bigger.

”La fu!”

Vibrava nimbly danced in the air, the antennae on its little head waving up and down, and the dark green eyes had a hint of cuteness.

Baimu noticed something on this fellow’s left forefoot. After taking it, he found it was a paper wad.

Carefully spreading it open, he could see many words. He barely used the reading pen to distinguish some and realized it was information about Vibrava written above.

That, at the bottom, seemed to be a warning from Liu Ge, with unexpectedly simple phrasing.

[This is the youngest and gentlest, whether it can help you depends on you.]

”Young, gentle.”

Baimu lifted his head, coinciding with Vibrava’s gaze, ”Hello?”

”La fu~”

Vibrava softly replied, its pure, peaceful demeanor showing no hostility at all, and then—

Buzz!

It suddenly launched a burst attack!

The close sprint startled Baimu, and fortunately, reflexively sidestepping saved him from being hit by Vibrava.

”Goo!”

”Wait ——”

He quickly reached out to stop Aron, full of hostility, instructing it to soothe the nervous Chansey, then looked at the Vibrava not far away whose wings had stopped flapping, yet hovered in mid-air with its floating trait.

This guy...

Baimu’s gaze collided with those green emerald-like eyes, surprisingly perceiving extremely human-like mockery in them.

Gentle?

Maybe it’s compared to Liu Ge’s other Pokémon.

”Then let’s be straightforward, Aron and I will team up to fight you, win and you have to listen to me until we get back, lose and do as you wish, how about it?”

Baimu also didn’t use Liu Ge to pressure Vibrava, which would instead easily provoke its rebellious psychology.

Let’s talk in terms of strength.

”La fu!”

Vibrava glanced at Aron with disdain, quickly flapping its wings, lunging towards it!

Clearly, this guy plans to knock it out as quickly as possible, to show its disdain for Baimu.

”Digging!”

Baimu shouted loudly, Aron eyed Vibrava closely, quickly breaking the ground and burrowing down.

Buzz ——

Vibrava swept over the ground like a bomber crossing.

It took a large turn to reverse its direction, dissatisfaction reaching its peak.

But just as it dove into the hole, intending to use [Ultrasonic] to force Aron out, it saw Aron willingly pop its head out.

”Mud Shot right in the face!”

Poof!

A large blob of mud spurted, Vibrava couldn’t dodge and got covered all over its head and face.

Ground-type moves indeed had no effect on its floating trait, but Baimu’s goal wasn’t to use Mud Shot for damage.

”La fu!”

It swung back and forth frantically, its head shaking continuously, hoping to remove the mud but to no avail.

The prototype of this guy is ultimately an antlion, not a dragonfly. Although capable of short bursts of high-speed flying, it doesn’t possess emergency hovering ability, making a hit inevitable once it loses control.

Who let it give up the long-range ultrasonic harassment, its sure-win strategy, at the outset?

Just goes to show, young and naïve.

In the end, just a youngster.

”Catch up using Mud Shot!”

Baimu waved his hand, Aron had a tricky place now, lacking any considerable long-range attack moves.

He had contemplated learning new skills on the first day, but the recently acquired Rock Burst couldn’t be learned, aggravating his urgency.

”Goo!”

Aron pursued the frantic Vibrava, with the opponent flying awkwardly in mid-air, causing it to spit mud continuously aiming and then shooting.

After spraying two or three times, when Vibrava found itself increasingly covered in mud, it finally went berserk.

”Quick, dig!”

Baimu shouted in discovery, decisively sprinting backward, hugging the panicked Chansey along the way.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh——

The mad yellow sand frenetically revolving around Vibrava, with its wings vibrating rapidly, spraying like raindrops to the surroundings.

[Quicksand Hell]!

Baimu and Chansey hid in a corner, covering their faces to avoid the flying sand, observing Vibrava’s state through their fingers.

The guy was now like a headless fly, wildly flying and crashing everywhere, seemingly in a chaotic status, unable to endure.

But to his surprise, Chansey only panicked without trembling. He initially believed it had a rather timid personality, but now it seemed more tense, unsure of what to do a bit more.

The guy occasionally peeked outside, its face faintly expressing a worry-like emotion.

”Are you worried about it?”

Baimu curiously bent down to speak.

Chansey looked up at him, its little hands twisting at its chest, appearing very conflicted.

”In that case, go save it. Help it escape from this painful state now.”

Baimu smiled and patted its head, ”Go do what only you can do—rescue, heal.”

”Lucky?”

”Chansey! Use Sing on Vibrava!”

The gentle push from behind led Chansey out of the corner, and looking at the painfully erratic Vibrava flying everywhere, its timidness gradually faded away as it took a deep breath.

It ignored the sand on its face, placed its hands on its chest, and closed its eyes and head, singing a melodious tune.

”~La♪ La-la-la~♬”

Baimu covered his ears, watching silently as under the soft pink sound waves, Vibrava’s movements slowed from franticness to eventually landing on the ground, closing its eyes and falling asleep.
