Eternal Thief

A sword phantom appeared behind Ace as he summoned his life swords; he instantly sensed excitement from them, as if they felt the heavenly lighting, and began to hum as a sharp aura of defiance surfaced.

‘They are becoming more and more sentient… and now they can even channel their desire to devour the heavenly punishment instead of just showing sword intent…’ Ace was elated.

He knew his sword path was an unknown territory that had long diverted from the Sky Sword. That’s why he never tried to revert it and let it take its course. Furthermore, he felt that the Heaven Sundering Sword Secret Cultivation Technique was far more suitable for him to follow on this path.

At this moment, the thunderbolt of the size of a pillar descended, and Ace’s grip on the sword hilts’ tightened, and he tried to channel his force into the dual swords.

It was his first time trying to imbue weapons with force, and he didn’t know what would happen. But now that he knew he could recover force with heavenly punishment, he wasn’t worried at all about exhausting himself.

At this moment, thick mercury-like energy started to ooze from his hands; it was Darkness Force, completely different from the translucent form of Qi. It was extremely heavy and filled with endless martial power.

However, something shocking happened the moment his swords came in contact with his force. Ace’s feet instantly dug deep into the ground, and his eyes widened, ‘Heavy!’ The Black Blade Swords were always light and felt right in his grip. Ace had never noticed this before because these swords always felt like his own limbs, but as his power increased, they constantly adjusted to his power and the correct weight for his realm.

However, this time, the moment he used force, these swords turned extremely heavy; the long sword weight was likely around a ton, while the short sword was half a ton. But Ace felt it was very…suitable for his current body for some reason.

‘Just how many more abilities these two swords have, and they seemed to be a perfect fit to use with force as well. I never knew I would need such a heavy weapon to use force, not to mention like a heavy weapon…’

Although Ace was astounded, he didn’t have time to celebrate or mull over this mystery; he just wanted to swing his swords to test what kind of effect they would have with force, and he just happened to have a perfect target!

‘Heaven Sundering Sword: Sword of Mortal Heart!’

Ace slashed his heavy swords in cross sequence, and the glyphs on his back flared like a black sun. The Universal Ascension Black Physique thrummed, his veins glowing with starry darkness, and he instantly felt almost all of his force dry out. Still, his eyes were affixed on the pitch-black ‘X’ of force rushing towards the lightning pillar as it increased in size while cutting the space in its path!

The moment it clashed with the heavenly thunder, it instantly cut through it and continued to move forward without any resistance or any sign of slowing down or losing its power. Ace was shocked because it was too powerful and effective against the heavenly thunder, but he also noticed something strange, ‘Just now, instead of sword law, why did Darkness Order replace it?’

Ace was confused and alarmed because it had never happened before. He didn’t even know if Darkness Order could mimic other laws, and it seemed even more powerful than the original laws.

‘Wait a minute… when I received the First Order of Darkness, the system stated that my other laws were being corrupted by darkness, and they will have darkness in them when I use them.

‘But I never actually felt much difference. However, when I try to use the sword intent with force, Darkness takes its place, and I can’t even sense the law of the sword at all.

‘Don’t tell me, this is the correct way to use Order of Darkness and my Prime Law? Or is it because I couldn’t before because I didn’t have this physique? I need to figure it out after this over first thing because using other laws through Order of Darkness felt far more natural and…correct, not to mention powerful…’

Ace’s expression was solemn as he wasn’t expecting to discover so much about his force and Order of Darkness this time, and on top of that, he was under the Heavenly Punishment of all things.

“Roar…”

Ace was suddenly startled when he heard this thunderous roar out of nowhere, and he looked up as the residue of lightning was falling over him like lightning rain. Still, it wasn’t as powerful and seemed to have lost the intent of destruction behind it. His swords and body were pulling this residue of lightning towards them and absorbing it on their own.

But his attention wasn’t on this phenomenon but on the tri-colored lightning finger talon, which seemed to be dismantled from its claw by his sword technique. It was ten meters in size as it fell, and at this moment, it suddenly turned into a thick lightning bolt.

‘Where did this talon come from and that roar…?!’

Ace’s eyes widened when he looked past the figure talon and saw a gigantic claw tore through the sky, its six sharp figures crackling with annihilation, and one of them was missing as a clean cut could be seen on its claw.

Ace’s heart raced when he saw that claw, which he wasn’t able to notice because of the lightning pillar earlier, but now that it was gone, he saw it, and he felt the terrifying power of destruction like never before.

Furthermore, he had unknowingly wounded the owner of this claw, which was none other than a Heaven’s Terminate Manifestation!

Moreover, unlike any Heaven’s Terminate Manifestation, this thing was different and massive. Another lightning claw tore through the lightning clouds, and soon, a majestic body surfaced with a wing span of over ten miles, and the lightning clouds turned into its shadowy coat.

Its height is over 5,000 meters, with the torso of an eagle and the upper body of a human. Its face was covered with a lightning helmet while its hands were like long blades of a double edge sword, and an ethereal ring of aurora light was behind it—it pulsed with sentient malice as though the heavens themselves had coalesced into a vengeful fallen angel.

Looking at the new type of Heaven’s Terminate Manifestation, Ace finally felt fear as he could sense an emotionless glare filled with destructive killing intent locked on him.

At this moment, the system’s voice rang with a hint of grimace…
