RE: LORD OF TIME

”A faction?” The students were taken aback when they heard William’s words.

Especially the noble students, who couldn’t help but give him a weird look.

”Does he even know what it means to create a faction?”

”Probably not. I think he just wants to create a group of people or a team to make things more convenient for him.”

”Right. A faction requires too many resources. Where can this guy get enough resources to create a faction?”

The commoner students were also confused by William’s words.

The reason many commoners joined the factions of nobles was because of resources. They wanted to advance further and have enough resources for their cultivation.

They admitted that William was strong, but being strong and having many resources were two different things.

They knew he was a commoner like them. So even if he created a faction, what kind of benefits could he give people to make them join him?

William did not care about the weird gazes he was receiving and continued.

”My faction will be different from the current factions of the academy. You won’t have to sell off your freedom here. If you join my faction, you will receive rewards based on your contribution to the faction...” He pointed at Liam, and his lips curled upward slightly.

”If you are wondering what kind of benefits you can get after joining my faction, just look at him. The red lightning you saw him use earlier was a cultivation technique he received after contributing to the faction. As long as you join my faction and work hard, you can not only receive powerful cultivation techniques, but also battle arts, skills, and many other things.”

The eyes of many students flashed when they heard William, and they couldn’t help but look at Liam.

All of them were indeed shocked by the strength Liam had displayed earlier and were wondering what that red lightning was.

Now William was saying it was a cultivation technique that he had given him for contributing to his faction.

All of them knew Liam was also a commoner, so they didn’t think Liam had received this technique from his family or bought it on his own.

Thinking they might also be able to receive a powerful cultivation technique, the eyes of many students heated up.

William nodded inwardly when he saw this and added another sentence.

”Also, there will only be thirty people in my faction for now. So if you want to join, decide quickly and meet me after class, or you might miss this golden opportunity.”

After saying that, he jumped down and walked toward Liam and Alicia at the back.

The reason William added the limit on the number of members was because of limited resources.

If he added too many members right at the beginning, providing all of them with enough resources would become difficult.

Since he was going to create a faction, he wanted to make something that would truly be useful to him.

He had no intention of dividing his available resources among hundreds of people and cultivating many cannon fodders.

He wanted every single member of his faction to have their own special ability.

Many students were stunned when William said there would only be thirty members in his faction, and a discussion immediately broke out. Especially among the commoner students.

”Are you going to join his faction?”

”I am not sure yet. What about you?”

”I want to join, but what if it’s just a trap and he just wants to invite us to do some chores for him?”

”But he indeed has many powerful skills and battle arts. Although I couldn’t see clearly, he definitely used some powerful battle arts and skills during the earlier battle.”

”Are you saying he will teach us the battle arts he knows?”

”He should be, right?”

Many students talked among themselves.

Some were tempted to join his faction, while some thought it was just a scam.

Especially knowing that William was also a commoner, many people didn’t believe he would be able to provide them with enough resources.

If they were going to join a faction, they might as well join the faction of someone from a noble family.

That way, even though they would have a lot of restrictions, they were guaranteed to receive some rewards.

But William’s case was different. Although he said they wouldn’t have any restrictions and would even receive rewards for contributing to the faction, it was only a verbal promise from William.

What if he was lying?

What if it was just a scam and he made them work for him without giving them anything?

There were many thoughts in the minds of the people.

Of course, there were also many people who had already decided to give it a try.

William’s reputation wasn’t low in the academy, and almost all of the first-year students had heard about him.

Knowing how strong he was, many people just wanted to join his faction in the hope that they might also be able to become strong like him.

William soon returned to Alicia and Liam’s side.

”You are creating a faction?” Alicia immediately asked when she saw him coming.

”Hmm,” William nodded and looked at her. ”What, you are also interested in joining?”

”I am indeed thinking about it.”

William was taken aback when he heard Alicia’s words, as he was just joking with her.

’If I pulled that guy’s sister into my faction, he will definitely go mad.’

William’s eyes twitched, and he shook his head.

”I don’t think my faction is suitable for you. Your brother already has a faction. You should go to him if you want to join a faction.”

After speaking his thoughts, before Alicia could respond, William changed the subject and looked at Liam.

”Let’s go out of the academy after class?”

”Why?” Liam asked in confusion.

William grinned and spoke in a serious voice.

”Have you forgotten? You said you would eat dogshit if that guy injured me. Since he successfully injured me, we need to find a dog to fulfill your vow.”
