RE: LORD OF TIME

Liam and Zion stepped into the battle ring and stood facing each other.

”Don’t be worried about getting injured and use everything you have. I will intervene if any of you is in danger,” Norman spoke as he stood at the edge of the ring.

”Yes, Professor,” Both Zion and Liam replied in unison and looked at each other.

”That friend of yours won’t be able to help you here like yesterday,” Zion spoke in a low voice. ”If you kneel down and admit that everything that happened yesterday was your fault and you are sorry for it, I will let you off easily.”

William, who was standing outside of the ring, raised an eyebrow when he heard Zion’s words.

’So they are using this method to salvage their ruined reputation,’ He thought inwardly, glancing at Edrin from the corner of his eyes, as he knew he must be the one who had asked Zion to speak those words.

’What useless fellows.’ He shook his head, and a sneer appeared on his face.

In fact, Edrin and Zion also knew Liam wouldn’t kneel down or apologize simply because they said so.

But the reason they still spoke those words was to show their attitude to everyone that this matter wasn’t over yet.

They would make William and the person close to him—Liam—pay the price for what happened yesterday.

In fact, by targeting Liam like this, they were simply saying that whoever was close to William would face the same thing.

All in all, it was just an attempt to isolate him from other people.

’This method might have worked if Zion overwhelmingly defeated Liam and then Edrin defeated me, but unfortunately for them...’ William looked at the battle ring, and his lips curled upward. ’They are just a bunch of clowns.’

Liam did not respond to Zion’s words and asked Norman.

”Professor, can I start?”

Norman looked at Zion and, seeing his ugly face, chuckled and backed away slightly.

”Begin!” He announced loudly.

”You will regr—”

Zion was still in the middle of speaking when suddenly, a crimson-red light flashed in his vision.

”You talk too much.”

A cold voice reached his ears, and his eyes widened as he saw Liam, who had been over ten meters away from him a split second ago, appear right in front of him.

”How is—”

BOOOOOOM!

A booming sound echoed across the training ground, and a fist clad in Blood Lightning struck Zion’s stomach, forcing all the air from his lungs and sending him flying backward as if he had been struck by a speeding carriage.

Bang!

Zion landed right outside the ring and rolled across the ground for a few meters before his body went still.

Blood seeped out from the corner of his mouth as he fainted on the spot.

All the chatter instantly stopped, and a pin-drop silence engulfed the training area.

Crackle!

The silence was broken by the crackling sound of lightning as everyone’s gaze slowly shifted toward the figure standing in the ring.

Arcs of Blood Lightning flashed around Liam as he stared at the unconscious Zion outside with cold eyes.

The students in the area looked at him with wide eyes, disbelief written across their faces.

”Just what happened?” A student finally asked.

As soon as he spoke, the silent training area instantly erupted into chaos.

”Holy Hell! What did I just see?”

”You saw something? Everything happened so fast that I wasn’t able to see anything.”

”No, I am asking what did I just see because I also couldn’t see anything clearly.”

”How is he so fast? It seems he teleported in front of Zion and sent him flying with just a single punch.”

Among all the students present, very few were able to see what happened.

Maya, Kevin, Edrin, and Noah were among them.

At this moment, they also had looks of shock on their faces as they stared at Liam.

’What kind of movement battle art is that? It’s too fast.’ Maya thought inwardly with a stunned look. ’More importantly, what is this red lightning? Why is it giving me such a strong sense of danger?’

Kevin and the others also had similar thoughts running through their minds, their thoughts in complete disarray.

But the person who was most shocked was not the students but Professor Norman.

Unlike the students, he could feel the special nature of Blood Lightning more clearly.

’Intent... There is no doubt this lightning has a hint of the Intent of Destruction in it...’ Norman screamed inwardly. ’How is this possible for an early-stage Star Warrior to master Intent?’

Norman was so shocked that he even forgot about checking Zion’s condition, who had already fainted.

”William, this...” Alicia pointed at the coldly expressioned Liam in the ring with her mouth wide open, looking back and forth between William and Liam, wanting to understand what was happening.

William found her current appearance quite funny and chuckled, stretching out his hand to close her mouth.

”Don’t swallow an innocent fly accidentally,” He said and explained in a low voice. ”Knowing he was still using a basic cultivation technique, Vivian gave him a special cultivation technique that was very suitable for him, and he succeeded in cultivating it in a single day.”

”Cultivation Technique...” A look of shock couldn’t help but appear on Alicia’s face.

Although she did not know what kind of technique allowed Liam to use that red lightning, she was sure that if it were sold in the market, this kind of technique would attract the attention of even the Duke Families.

’Just what is her background for her to give such a powerful technique to Liam freely?’ She thought inwardly before a sour look appeared on her face. ’What about me? She didn’t give me anything.’

William didn’t care about Alicia’s thoughts and looked at Liam with gleaming eyes.

’So, not only spear arts, he also learned some battle arts related to Blood Lightning.’

The movement-type battle art Liam used to instantly appear before Zion was way better than his Phantom Step battle art.

’Although I don’t care about the spear arts that he learned, I should still ask him to teach me the other battle arts that he learned. After all, I also have Blood Lightning, and I can use them too.’

After standing in the ring with a cold expression for a few extra seconds, Liam felt his vanity was greatly satisfied, and he finally looked at Norman.

”Professor, I won the match, right?”

Hearing Liam, Norman finally came back to his senses and, after taking a deep look at Liam, nodded at him.
