The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Leader of Earth and everything it contains…

Those are bold words for someone to say, yet Klaus said them, and the response he received was stunned silence. His words hung in the air.

Queenie, whom Klaus freed from the Zombie Queen’s restraint, was left stunned, and the same was true for Jaguar. Though they came with Klaus and were on his side, they never expected him to say something so bold.

It felt almost unbelievable.

Meanwhile, the Zombie Queen was also frozen in place, a shocked expression evident in her eyes. However, while the six sitting on her side and the two standing behind her were frozen from Klaus’s words, it was something else that stunned the Queen.

‘He broke my mind suppression just like that.’

She thought inwardly, looking at Klaus. The shocked expression in her eyes told her everything. ‘This young man is a monster.’

From the day she realized her powers, nobody had ever stood a chance against her mental attacks. None, until she met Klaus, who brushed away her mind attack like it was nothing.

Of course, she never meant to attack Klaus, so the pressure she applied wasn’t that much. However, to her absolute shock, the brat broke her mind suppression very easily, and that stunned her.

‘He also broke my domain suppression that I put on the two…’

‘…And even called me a young lady. Who does he think he is?’ She thought inwardly, looking strangely at Klaus. Something came to her mind to make him submit, but something else told her not to do anything stupid, or else she would regret it for the rest of her life.

‘I don’t believe this kid can make me scared,’ she told herself, then shifted her attention to Queenie and Jaguar.

“You two can sit down,” Queenie and Jaguar broke from their shocked state and sat beside Klaus. Queenie, after she sat down, wanted to say something to Klaus, but on second thought, she held back.

“You say you are the leader of Earth and everything it contains. Does that include this place too?” the Queen asked, her tone no longer having that smile.

It was clear she was serious now.

Klaus looked at Queenie and smiled. “But of course. This place is part of Earth, so it is only natural for me to lay claim to it. However, while I am the leader of it, that doesn’t mean I can’t have subjects.”

His words sounded sarcastic; however, to the Zombies, hearing them, it felt like he was challenging their queen. Naturally, their hands went toward their weapons.

Klaus saw this and smiled.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he warned.

“Just now, I calculated my chance of killing you eight and even have enough power to kill your queen. The percentage of success was 28. It’s low, but that means out of a hundred attempts, I will succeed 28 times.

That is a good enough odd for me.

Of course, I included the instance where I kill you eight and escape without killing your Queen, which, in this instance, means she also can’t hurt me, and to my shock, the odds went up to 79 percent.

Now, that is an odd I will never fail. And before you all fume and think I am going too far or being arrogant or courting death, know that I have already created 10,002 killing moves that will ensure both the 28% and 79% come to pass.

So why don’t we take our hands off our weapons and talk like civilized individuals?”

Yet again, the room fell into another shocked quietness. It was so quiet that the smile on Klaus’s face could be heard… that’s how silent it had become.

The words Klaus spoke just now weren’t only a threat to the queen and her people, but also a direct show that, despite sitting at the center of the Queen’s domain, he didn’t seem bothered.

In other words, ‘He is not afraid of me or anyone. And it isn’t a bluff; he can actually do what he said.’ As someone with high mental capacity, the Zombie Queen could tell Klaus wasn’t bluffing.

This begs the question: Is she that strong? Is she that deadly?

And looking at Queenie’s expression, the Zombie Queen had her answer. She could tell Klaus’s words weren’t just a bluff.

Klaus studied her expression for a few seconds and then sighed inwardly, ‘Maybe I went too far. Though I doubt that will make any difference. She is a monarch; if I don’t clear the air now, she will never submit.

Though that won’t be a problem since after I give them my blood, I will have supreme authority over her life. But millions of years ago, I promised myself I would never become a Slave master, and using my authority over her is akin to one.

So I will use the old methods to get her to submit. This way, even after they take my blood, she and her people wouldn’t think they are superior to her. I must clear the air first.’

“Relax, you all. I am a pacifist… Killing is not something I like, so disregard my words. Though I should say, I don’t want there to be any dispute between us before negotiations start.”

His smile didn’t change anything. It only deepened their shocked states, and even now, it added a fear they all felt.

‘That is the smile of a natural-born killer. I knew it because that psycho Savage Zombie is the same. I’d better act calm and handle it with reason. The queen sighed and then looked at her people.

“Relax, everyone. These are our visitors, so we should be civil and not antagonize them.” They hesitated for a moment but nodded.

She looked at Klaus and said, “I don’t know if this is how humans do things, but in here, we have rules, and they must be followed.

First, you chose to sit without my authority. I can overlook that, because we have some relationship with your kind. Second, you brazenly threatened my subjects and even threatened me inside my own domain.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the moment you entered here, whatever authority you had out there is no more. Here, I make the rules; I am the rule. So, while I can tolerate you breaking the first rule, I won’t have you bringing violence here.

This is why I hate to do this, but you three have to leave. Also, from today onwards, The Vampires will sever all ties with the humans.

That is your way out.” She pointed at the door, exerting her innate domain, which, from the look of things, was working on Queenie and Jaguar.

Klaus looked at her and smiled.

“Very well, Zombie Queen. Since you decided not to hear why we are here, we will leave. But a word of advice: never try to suppress my wife.”

Klaus’s eyes flashed red, and suddenly, the queen twitched in her throne; the pressure bearing down on Queenie and Jaguar vanished.

Klaus held Queenie’s hand, and they disappeared from the room. Jaguar looked at the Zombie Queen for a moment and shook his head.

“You let your pride cloud your judgment.” With that, he also vanished.
