The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

History indeed tends to forget Klaus.

The heavens wouldn’t want someone like him to be remembered as a martyr; they will do everything in their power to erase his achievements, and so they have been doing the same thing for billions of years.

So, it’s no wonder the Shadowless Assassin was the well-known assassin who shocked the universe.

Even she would have been wiped out if not for her positive karma, despite becoming the wife of the most hated existence.

Klaus was okay with that simply because he didn’t really care about those histories anyway. It wasn’t as if his memories were lost, and he had to rely on history to know his legends.

He could recall them easily, and now that he had more memories from his 9th incarnation, for now, he was okay not knowing other things about himself.

Even he had to know that his life would turn out this way one day and that he would hear things about his life that he hadn’t recalled yet. So, being the greatest assassin to walk the universe was enough for him.

“That Supreme Human over there is terrifying,” Eren suddenly said, looking toward Miriam. Klaus turned to Miriam’s direction and smiled.

Her sword was engulfed in white flames, and with every swing, a deep cut appeared in the body of the Peak Tier 11 she was fighting.

The beast was crab-like in nature, but with a fibrous shell and tendrils that, when they latched onto something, made it nearly impossible to get free from them.

However, Miriam was casually ignoring those tendrils and kept bombarding the shell, which was basically its body, with nothing but her sword qi.

Every slash of her sword was enough to leave a deep cut, drawing pink blood from the beast that was slowly succumbing to the onslaught.

The tendrils were getting severed whenever they came close to touching Miriam’s body. Some were even severed long before they reached her.

This was her sword qi, which had merged with her sword intent. This made it impossible for the tendrils to reach her. But even if they did, her body was exuding a potent light energy that seemed to burn.

“She doesn’t even know it yet, but she has comprehended some aspect of the law that governs the light element. That is why she has already started to use the power of the laws.” Eren smiled, and Klaus was the same.

He had also recognized this, and it wasn’t just Miriam doing that. Matt, Klaus’ sworn brother, who was once the leader of the Yin-Yang faction back at the academy, also has the elemental law of lightning around him.

Even Linda, Kay’s woman, was showing the same law. This meant their control over their elements had already reached the Super stage. That was the only point in element comprehension where one could display the elemental laws.

“They are monsters,” Eren couldn’t help but admire the humans and beasts fighting. Queenie, who had herself a whole Tier 11 beast, was having a field day with her opponent.

It wasn’t hard to see that she wasn’t putting much effort into the battle.

She was just training her skills using a Peak Tier 11 Beast that could have brought the Earth to its knees just a few months ago.

The same was happening with Lunara, who was also using a sword instead of her classic scythe. Klaus didn’t want to say it, but if Queenie and her mother teamed up, he would find himself in a pickle.

Of course, if it were a normal, friendly battle, they could push him to a corner. But when it came to killing, he could easily kill them.

Klaus was a paragon, and while he would love to say his life had been easy, the truth was, he never had a peaceful life to begin with. So all his skills and techniques were meant for killing.

All his weapons were for killing, and because of this, if he were to spar with them, as someone who had killed his fair share in the past, he would struggle not to become notorious.

‘I must learn how to spar with them now that they are growing stronger. The past spars were just me standing while they bombarded me with attacks. I need to be able to probe their strength and dismantle their defenses without thinking of slaughter.’

“Hanna, you are cheating,” Klaus suddenly called out to Hanna.

The brat didn’t like the fact that Hanna was now making her friends look like they weren’t killing fast enough. Hanna turned and glared at him before going back to killing with the 30 divine copies of herself.

“That is a unique ability she has,” Eren admired the 30 copies of Hanna that were wielding the same bow and using various skills to kill. This caused her to smile.

“That is not an ability, it’s her body constitution,” Klaus corrected Eren, who nodded. She looked at the copies of Hanna’s divine bodies and smiled.

“You know, I once heard of an infamous body constitution that allows the bearer to create ten thousand copies of themselves.

However, it was something the heavens hold dear, which makes me wonder if this has some similarities to it.

The you I served was obsessed with it and even thought about attacking the heavens so he could claim it.” Eren wasn’t violating any Heaven laws by saying something from Klaus’s past.

This was because while this could be considered her breaking the rules of reincarnation, she wasn’t of this universe, so her words weren’t that serious to the heavens.

In other words, while she couldn’t narrate everything about Klaus’s past? She could share some things. This was a method Klaus’s past self had taught them, all five of them—well, seven, though the last two were far away, in the universe.

“The Ten Thousand Divine Body constitution,” Klaus laughed, “The heavens must be seething right now.”

Eren raised her brow and then turned to watch as Hanna killed 31 beasts with just a single arrow. She killed one, but her copies also killed 30.

The best part is that they are independent to some extent… for example, they can pick their target without her having to choose for them.

Though she can’t compare her divine Bodies to Nia’s shadows, they are called Divine Bodies for a reason.

Eren turned and looked at Klaus. “How did you do it, Master?”

Klaus just laughed. “It is a trade secret.”

Hanna was at the 2nd level of the Ascendent stage. However, at the moment, she had become 31 Ascendents in one body, and that was what the heavens didn’t want happening.

One person with the potential and means to create ten thousand bodies that have the same power as the original body and share the same weapon and skills as the main body.

And worst of all, this person is associated with a Paragon.
