The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“So you can now talk to trees and are now a Level 6 Ascendent?” Pickle Berry asked, and Lucy nodded with an embarrassing smile. The way Pickle Berry asked the question sounded funny.

“Just like humans and animals evolved when the apocalypse descended, the plants did the same. It’s just that most of the evolved plants are good by nature, and that’s why we haven’t seen a tree monster yet.

But they are there, I can feel them… calling to me. When everything is done here, I will take a trip to the Amazon rainforest and some other woodlands to see my people.”

“Your people?” Klaus’s mom asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes. I am a Sylvan, so basically, I am a plant in human form. If I turn a blind eye to the plants’ calling, I will betray the Mother Tree. That is not something I want to do.”

The ladies understood her reasoning. It was just that calling herself a plant didn’t sit well with them, like how they wanted it.

But hearing what she said, they also understood she wasn’t the same human anymore. She is now a Sylvan, a Plantkin.

She had become a Sylvan, someone blessed by the Mother Tree. If she wanted, she could go live with the trees because, naturally, she would feel more welcome there than among humans.

But she wouldn’t go live with the trees because she has sisters and family who are humans, and they like her for who she is.

Though she can’t ignore the call from her kin, she won’t go live with them.

She is actually much more expectant of what she will find when she heeds their call. She will now wait for her sisters and friends to finish their awakening.

A day passed after Lucy’s awakening, but none of her sisters or friends showed signs of awakening.

Meanwhile, Klaus and Lunara continued to explore the red planet, going slowly to ensure they didn’t miss anything.

“I have a feeling something valuable is here. However, I can’t seem to find it,” Klaus said, walking beside Lunara, who was also doing her best to help her man.

“Just don’t worry too much. We have time to look more closely, so let’s slow down.” She assured him, knowing Klaus wouldn’t lie about sensing something.

“Plus, the moment your new subordinate completes their awakening and transformation, you can use them to search for it. I’m sure more hands on deck will speed things up.”

Klaus nodded at her words. They continued for hours until suddenly Klaus sensed a change inside the Multi-Dimensional Cube.

“One of them is ready for their tribulations,” Klaus said. They stopped and then entered the cube, appearing inside a domain of ice where Tess, the ice banshee, had been training for the past month.

“Are you ready?” Klaus asked, and she nodded.

He waved his hand, and they appeared back on Mars. The moment Tess appeared, the entire three miles of her surroundings turned cold and froze.

Klaus and Lunara moved back.

“Looks like her understanding of ice has reached a terrifying stage to be able to freeze such a hot planet,” Lunara said, and Klaus nodded and smiled.

“My Ice is just at the Realm stage, but I have a feeling she is already at the Initiate immunity stage.” Klaus smiled and created a throne. He sat down and made Lunara sit on his lap.

Up ahead, the tribulation crowds continued to form.

“I have a feeling that when this tribulation is over, Earth will have two powerful ice beauties,” Klaus said, watching the Ice banshee.

Tess is Anna’s companion, and Anna was the Ice Queen in her past life, so the same thing will happen to her, just like what happened with the Queen of Vines.

This means Anna and Tess will become powerhouses once they are done with their tribulations.

Of course, Klaus didn’t know the Banshee in front of him had a powerful lineage that, when discovered, would make her a target of even gods.

Tess is no ordinary Banshee. She possesses the ‘Tears of Eternal Grief,’ one of the lost relics of the weeping sirens.

It was a cursed relic created from the Weeping Sirens’ crystallized sorrow, forged in the depths of the Abyssal Trenches, where the songs of despair never ceased.

The relic is heaven-defying. However, that wasn’t the most harrowing thing here. Legends speak of a race of sirens that lost their home due to the evil of men.

They were once the true owners of the World’s Lifeblood, a sacred stream of energy that is said to hold the power of immortality, rebirth, and eternal wealth.

However, they were massacred, ravaged, and destroyed. Those who managed to escape chose to sing the song of hatred forever, which was how the ‘Tears of Eternal Grief’ was born.

The sirens’ songs are harrowing, and now, Tess, one of the Banshees still alive, will awaken her lineage as a weeping siren with access to ice magic.

The combination alone is enough to make anyone freeze in their bones.

Tess stood there for five minutes until the first level of her Void stage tribulation appeared. The moment it did, a canvas of painting appeared above Tess.

Right when it did, Tess let out a gentle cry, and that was when a powerful-looking spear made of green ice flashed out from the painting and collided with the colossal serpent coming her way.

The spear went through the snake, destroying it completely. But it didn’t disperse; it moved and entered the painting.

Then, when the second level appeared, the spear came out again. This time, like it had a life of its own, it moved through the sky, destroying all the beasts coming her way.

It was a sight to behold. Watching as the spear did its work was something Klaus knew could be useful in the future.

However, while Klaus was smiling, the senior’s grim voice entered his head, making him stop and pay attention to what she had to say…

[Brat, listen to what I am about to say carefully. This lady that is standing there, under no circumstances should you watch her die. Even when the odds are stacked so high, never let her die.

She is the last of the weeping sirens and the rightful heir of the Sacred Lifeblood. No matter what, do not let her die. She must be protected until she claims her birthright.

The prophecy was true, the last of the weeping sirens still lives.]
