The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Perhaps there are thousands of Tier 8 ants; however, the speed at which Lily and Mason are killing them would see them finish every last one soon.

However, they aren’t the only ones doing the impossible.

On one side of the battle, now bathed in flames and carnage, Sofia and Amelia are clashing with a Level 9 Tier 10 Ant that seems unaffected by their flames.

However, that doesn’t mean they are letting it have a field day inside the fire. No, Klaus saw what a combat mage looks like today, and his mind returned to his 4th incarnation.

He was a mage until he met Yuying, and then he became a battle mage. Now, watching Sofia fight like a warrior made him smile slyly.

Sofia is a Fire Dragon mage, making her one of the most destructive humans on the battlefield. Though she can’t create destruction like Danny and the brutes, she is doing something equally amazing.

She was bathed in flames, and as she moved through the air, dragons made of fire roared into existence and then merged with her body, giving her the look of a warrior.

She wielded her staff, and shockwaves filled with fire burst out whenever she landed an attack.

But Amelia was also doing the same. She, too, was bathed in flames, and as more fire spread across the battlefield, so did her strength.

Nari, who was watching this, couldn’t help but smile. She was seeing herself in her… The phoenix in the making.

Her self when she was a psycho who didn’t consider the feelings of others when she hurt them. Watchin’ the flames burn everywhere, she couldn’t help but want to dive in.

“Amelia, start preparing the spell. We have only one chance, so make it count,” Sofia shouted, making Amelia nod and move back.

“I will hold it back for as long as possible, so be fast.” The battle was raging on, and deep inside, they were all wondering just how it had all ended up in this situation.

One minute, they are preparing to fight against the odds, but it stands before them like a tower when they come.

However, while the two fire ladies were barely holding on by a thread, Lulu and Hanna were also handling the second of the four Level 9 Tier 10 Ants.

A cracked carapace on its back and a severed leg—they are doing much better than Sofia and Amelia. However, that doesn’t mean they are having a field day.

No, they are actually in a tight spot.

The Level 9 Tier 10 Ant they are fighting has a berserk-type skill that activates when in extreme danger. So the moment they severed its leg, it activated the skill, increasing its speed and strength.

Hanna’s wings were spread out, and in her hand was the Skybound Bow, bathed in blue lightning, as one arrow after another was shot at the Ant.

However, had it not been for Lulu using her spiritual energy to disrupt the Ant’s movements, Hanna wouldn’t have had much chance to land even a single arrow.

The dangers of facing a Tier 10 monster had finally presented themselves to them all, leaving them deeply frustrated.

“Do it, Kay,” Scarlet said, creating a wall of ice between Kay and the horde of Tier 9 monster ants raining down on them. They are a part of the team fighting the Tier 9s.

Two, the difference between Tier 9 and 10 is just too vast; the Tier 9s numbered in the thousands, so it wasn’t far-fetched when Kay and Vira got hurt.

She had healed the cut he’d sustained on his chest, so Kay was as good as he could be as he took out one deadly-looking arrow from his space ring.

“How long will it take again?” Scarlet poured her energy into the wall as more monsters rained down on them.

“Ten seconds,” Kay replied, activating the second form of the [Hellfire Arrow Tempering Art]. The moment he touched the arrow, golden runic engravings began appearing on it.

“You better hurry, Kay. This isn’t something you can waste time on,” Scarlet said, gritting her teeth as she channeled more energy into the wall.

“Almost done.” Eight seconds later, Kay nocked the arrow, now bathed in hundreds of engravings. However, if one looked closely, the runes were vanishing in microseconds.

He drew his bow, causing flames to burst from his arms as his eyes turned red with energy.

The arrow was pointed toward Miriam, and then, in his loudest voice, he gave a command:

“War Goddess Miriam, at the count of three, back away!”

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

“Hellfire Arrow!”

The arrow shot from the bow, the force slamming Kay back against the ice wall, cracking it. At the same moment, Miriam leaped away, and the deadly arrow that can kill an Overlord pierced the Level 9 Tier 10 Redwing Diamond-Body Tyrant Ant killing it instantly.

“Boo-yah! Now that’s what I’m talking about!” Danny had just enough time to stop and watch Kay kill a Tier 10 beast before raising his axe again.

However, the moment the arrow struck the ant’s head, Miriam swiftly blocked an attack from the second Tier 10 Ant.

Aoi, who had been fighting that ant, smiled, flew upward, and unleashed a powerful skill:

“Sword Rain!”

Thousands of swords—forged from sword qi and spiritual energy—materialized before she hurled them toward the fragile ice wall.

The moment the ants broke down the wall, they were greeted by thousands of swords.

Aoi moved into position and started doing the job of Kay and Scarlet, who chose to take the risk and, in doing so, created the first chance for their victory.

Anna moved into position also and started healing them.

“Nice job, Kay,” She said with a smile, “Now, how many of those arrows can you shoot again”

Kay smiled, “I can handle two more if I have enough rest”

“In that case,” Anna waved her staff, and a pool of water appeared beneath Kay, sending a wave of potent healing energy into his body.

“Take it easy for now, and don’t leave this pool water.” Kay nodded and started using weaker skills to handle the monsters.

Meanwhile, the moment the first Tier 10 fell, a spark ignited in someone’s heart.

Many years before, during the era of the Titans, there was a mountain-sized titan said to be made from rocks and hard metals. His form is colossal and powerful.

They called him Roblox, the mountain Breaker.

His weapon of choice was the axe. It was said that when his axe was raised, devastation followed.

Right now, something snapped in Danny the moment he saw Kay draw his arrow through the Ant. And thus, he also made his move, something that prompted Klaus to stand from his comfortable posture.

“Here I come,” Danny’s voice boomed as he jumped 100 impossible meters high into the air.
