I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!

”I still want to kiss you, but...” she hesitated, her voice dropping lower, ”but we’re outside.”

”What about it?” Zeir suddenly asked, sounding completely calm, as if her worry didn’t make sense at all. ”It’s not like this is the first time you’ve done something naughty outside.”

Before Roxanna could even react, Zeir leaned closer, his lips brushing near her ear as he whispered, ”You did that with Azul at the river. And you did that with Calen in the cave. I thought you liked showing affection in public.”

Roxanna’s brain froze, and her hands immediately flew up, covering her face, almost like she wanted to hide from reality.

In just a few seconds, her whole face turned bright red because he wasn’t wrong. She suddenly realized that she really had done a lot of bold things outside.

But—wait! It was different!

”But... but the river was really quiet,” Roxanna quickly defended herself. ”And with Calen... there weren’t any other beastkin near the cave.”

Then she pointed around, her voice growing more panicked. ”But here... we’re in the settlement! What if someone decides to jog in the middle of the night and catches us doing something bad?”

Zeir raised an eyebrow, like he couldn’t believe what she just said. ”What do you mean by bad?” he asked. ”Kissing isn’t bad. Couples kiss each other all the time.”

That was true, but honestly, Roxanna had a feeling that if they continued kissing, the situation might get even hotter, and she didn’t want to imagine it—no, actually, she had already imagined it!

”Still...” Roxanna muttered, her cheeks burning. ”It’s embarrassing.” She peeked at him, then quickly looked away again. ”Other couples only give small pecks in public,” she said. ”Not like what we just did.”

Zeir narrowed his eyes slightly. ”And what exactly did we just do?”

Roxanna’s eyes widened, and she finally realized that the cold, quiet Zeir was also an expert at teasing her!

”Zeir!” Roxanna shouted, but not too loudly.

”What?” Zeir asked calmly, as if he had done nothing wrong. ”If you can’t explain what you mean, then how am I supposed to understand?”

Roxanna froze.

[Is this really Zeir?] she thought in disbelief. [He must be an impostor! My Zeir can’t possibly be this good at teasing his wife!]

But then again, she still didn’t know much about Zeir yet, and she also hadn’t known him long enough to truly understand his real self.

What if this was his true personality all along?

What if he had always been this good at teasing, but because he was the eldest in the family, he had to keep playing the role of the calm one, the responsible one. So no matter what happened, he always forced himself to look calm and composed.

[Like I thought... it’s impossible for someone to stay that calm all the time!] Roxanna complained in her mind. [My Zeir must have suffered alone because he can’t just let his anger out whenever he wants.]

After all, how could he not be annoyed? Roxanna’s other husbands were chaotic, loud, and wild. Anyone would lose their patience around them, and more than that... Zeir probably had been holding in his anger for far longer.

He must have been swallowing his feelings ever since the evil Roxanna was still controlling him.

[Ding! Ding!]

[Side Mission Activated: Find a way to release all the negative feelings Zeir has been holding inside his heart!]

[Goal: Ease his emotional burden and deepen your bond with him.]

[Reward: Comfort Hug Buff — Effect: When Host hugs her husbands, their negative emotions decrease faster by 40%]

Comfort Hug Buff? That passive skill sounded hilarious, but also useful at the same time.

At least, with that skill, Roxanna might be able to calm her husbands down more easily, especially the ones who often exploded like a volcano, like Calen, for example.

However, before she could think about the reward, she had to think about how to earn it first.

Should she tell him to scream at the top of his lungs on a cliff? Well... maybe it could work. But wouldn’t it be weird to suddenly drag him to a cliff in the middle of an intimate moment?

That would be extremely awkward.

Wait, wasn’t it true that... making love could also release negative emotions stored in the body, and release hormones that made someone feel happy?

[Should I ask Zeir to mate with me right now?]

Her face heated up instantly. Before her brain could think twice, Roxanna slapped both cheeks hard, as if she could knock the shameless thought out of her head.

She couldn’t believe she had just thought of something that bold!

”What’s wrong?” Zeir asked innocently, pretending he had no idea what she was thinking. ”Is there a mosquito?”

”Mhm.” Roxanna nodded shyly. ”There’s a mosquito.”

Since Roxanna still refused to answer his teasing question from earlier, Zeir finally stopped pushing her. Instead, he calmly switched to another topic, almost like he was giving her a way out.

”Actually...” Zeir said in a low voice, ”there’s an empty hut near the black hut. Warriors usually use it to guard prisoners, but since there are no prisoners in the black hut...”

”That place is empty?” Roxanna finished his sentence, her eyes widening slightly.

Zeir nodded. ”Yes. It’s empty.” Then he hesitated for a second, his voice lowering even more. ”Do you want to go there?” he asked. ”Maybe... we can continue what we were doing earlier.”

Roxanna felt like her entire body was burning up the moment she heard his shameless question. But somehow, she ended up nodding.

Zeir’s eyes softened the moment he saw her nod.

He didn’t smile widely, but the corners of his lips lifted just a little, like he was trying to stay calm, even though he was clearly pleased.

”Okay,” he said joyfully, and it seemed like it was the first time Roxanna had ever seen him look that delighted.

He then took Roxanna’s hands and led her to the empty hut. At that moment, she was sure they were going to do something more than just kiss.
