Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 1023: Chapter 1024: The Troublemaker

Lin Chen looked at the crystal-clear liquid on his finger with a wave of speechlessness in his heart.

He never expected that while sucking out the poison for Ling Zi, he would also extract this substance, but the taste of it was indeed very enticing.

That day, two shocking pieces of news emerged from the underground forces of Shinjuku.

One was the unexpected death of the deputy leader Black Tiger of the Yamamoto Group, and the other was that Yamamoto Yoko became the leader of the Yamamoto Group.

Some astute people guessed that there was definitely a necessary connection between the death of Black Tiger and Yoko becoming the leader.

Although Lin Chen’s position was deputy leader, Yoko acted as a hands-off shopkeeper, leaving all matters of the Yamamoto Group to Lin Chen.

Managing such a group, especially looking at that pile of accounts, gave Lin Chen a headache.

After pondering for a moment, Lin Chen simply sent all the information and financial statements of the Yamamoto Group that Yoko handed to him to Xue Ying far away in China.

After all, Xue Ying managed a top 500 enterprise in China, and these accounts were too simple for her.

Xue Ying had no complaints after receiving the accounts, but she kept blaming Lin Chen for not telling her about going to the Island Nation and even questioned if he was going there to find women while avoiding her and her sisters.

Knowing that provoking these women would be of no benefit, Lin Chen had to explain the purpose of his trip to the Island Nation.

Upon hearing Lin Chen’s nervous voice, Xue Ying found it quite amusing.

”Alright, the things you want will be sent to you tonight. Running to manage other people’s groups in the Island Nation, if you’re so idle, I’ll take a year off when you come back, and you can properly manage your own company!” Xue Ying said angrily.

Lin Chen was speechless for a moment. Originally, he just wanted to be a bodyguard or something, but unexpectedly he became the deputy leader of the Yamamoto Group, and more importantly, the leader of this Yamamoto Group was also a hands-off person.

After all, the Star Group was no longer a small company; it had become a top 500 enterprise in China.

Although the accounts of the Yamamoto Group were very complex, they were nothing in front of the accountants of the Star Group. Lin Chen received the information Xue Ying sent over that night.

Looking at the information, Lin Chen frowned. For the past few years, Yamamoto had been pretending to be ill, leaving the various major industries of the Yamamoto Group to be managed by his subordinates, resulting in a somewhat out-of-control situation in managing the industries below. From the accounts, Lin Chen could see there were considerable problems with the Yamamoto Group.

Lin Chen was merely here for the Verse of the Flower of Life, so he wasn’t very interested in managing the Yamamoto Group, but considering his good relationship with Yoko, he couldn’t bear to dump this mess directly on her.

”Brother Lin Chen, you’re still up so late.” Yoko, wearing pajamas and rubbing her eyes, walked in from outside.

Seeing Yoko in such a cute and innocent manner, Lin Chen was speechless for a moment.

Yamamoto handed this group over to Yoko with good intentions, hoping she would quickly get into character, but becoming the leader of such an underground force so quickly meant she would inevitably lose many things.

”Yoko, tomorrow’s meeting is going to be a bloody battle. Are you really ready to enter this circle?” Lin Chen asked Yoko.

”Of course, I’ve been raised by my father since I lost my mother at a young age. When I was little, I didn’t know my father was the boss of the group. I often saw him coming home late, sometimes even injured, but he never told me anything, even when his bones were broken, he’d endure the pain and let me ride on his back,” Yoko said, tears glistening at the corners of her eyes.

”I’ve always been thinking about when I could help my father, share some of his burdens. Now I’ve finally got this chance. Brother Lin Chen, I will do well,” Yoko said earnestly.

”Little sister, being the boss of a group isn’t as easy as you think.” Jia Xiaoqing, smiling, walked in at this moment.

Jia Xiaoqing was wearing pajamas, exuding an extremely seductive allure.

”There are seven chiefs in your Yamamoto Group, each controlling different industries like entertainment, gambling, and film. Over the years, they’ve become accustomed to acting independently and living like regional governors. What do you have to fight against them?” Jia Xiaoqing said casually.

Lin Chen’s eyes carried a hint of coldness, and the corner of his mouth curled into a sly smile: ”If they don’t obey, just kill them.”

Throughout history, regime changes have always been accompanied by bloodshed, and it’s the same for small gangs.

If they don’t comply, then fight until they do — that’s Lin Chen’s only truth.

Lin Chen said to Ling Zi who was nearby: ”Tell those seven leaders there will be a meeting at the Yamamoto Group’s headquarters at 9 a.m. tomorrow.”

”But it’s already past midnight. Is it really appropriate to call them at this time?” Ling Zi asked, a bit worried.

”There’s nothing inappropriate about it. The Yamamoto Group has given them wealth and glory, and now it’s time for them to give back,” Lin Chen responded calmly.

Seeing Lin Chen’s persistence, Ling Zi had no choice but to go and contact the leaders of the group.

The calls made past midnight left these leaders very unhappy, but these people were all worldly-wise foxes who had been mixing in the underworld for a long time.

The Yamamoto leader was seriously ill, and Black Tiger died under mysterious circumstances, making the seven leaders covetous of the leader’s position.

Though Yamamoto chose Yoko as the successor, in their eyes, she was nothing but a puppet.

This was destined to be a sleepless night. All seven leaders, upon receiving the call, were wide-awake, contacting their allies to discuss strategies for the meeting the following day.

”Alright, let’s all get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a great day!” Lin Chen said flatly.

Lin Chen understood that Yamamoto was too sentimental and had always been too lenient with these people, leading to some inflated egos among his subordinates. To secure Yoko’s position, he had to adopt a strong-arm approach with them.

Each of these seven leaders had their own agendas. Lin Chen knew that tomorrow’s meeting would determine the outcome of the power struggle and whether Yoko could stabilize her position.

”Since there is an ailment, it needs to be treated, and strong medicine is required,” Lin Chen’s eyes shone with a cold gleam.

However, that night, Lin Chen was also sleepless, not because of the meeting tomorrow but because of the faint fragrance around his lips.

The scene from the day kept flashing in his mind, making him toss and turn uncomfortably.

In another room, next to Yoko, Ling Zi was also wide-eyed, staring outside the window, Lin Chen’s figure constantly appearing in her mind.

Why am I thinking of that scoundrel? Why do I feel so confused when I should clearly hate him?

The next day, after freshening up and having breakfast, Lin Chen specially put on a brand-new suit.

”Brother Chen, hurry up, I don’t want to be late for my first meeting after taking office,” Yoko urged anxiously, seeing Lin Chen dawdling.

Lin Chen smiled faintly: ”What’s the rush? We’re supposed to be late.”

Actually, Lin Chen did this to give those leaders a show of force, to let them know who truly is the boss of the Yamamoto Group.

Around nine-thirty, Lin Chen and Yoko finally arrived unhurriedly, Ling Zi had been waiting at the door for a long time.

”Is everyone here?” Lin Chen asked Ling Zi at the door.

”We’re still missing one,” Ling Zi replied.

Lin Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly, clearly, there was a troublemaker!
