Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 1008: Chapter 1009: Jumping Into the Pot

Seeing Ling Zi’s flushed cheeks, Lin Chen realized that saying such things in this setting might not be very appropriate.

But since the words were already out, he couldn’t take them back. Lin Chen awkwardly said, ”Anyway, I just happened to pass by, and besides, who told you to bathe by the river instead of in the bathroom? So I’m not at fault here.”

”You, you...”

”And with your flat chest, I wouldn’t even bother looking,” Lin Chen said disdainfully.

Hearing Lin Chen call her chest a ’flat airport’, Ling Zi’s eyes almost spewed fire. She pointed at Lin Chen, ”I swear I won’t live as a human if I don’t kill you today.”

Upon hearing Ling Zi’s words, Lin Chen’s face darkened: ”Miss Ling Zi, if I hadn’t stepped in to save you, you’d be crippled for the rest of your life. Of course, I don’t expect you to be grateful, but I do hope you don’t always talk about killing. With your weak skills, thinking you could kill me is just wishful thinking.”

”You!” Ling Zi was so angry she couldn’t speak for a moment. Indeed, the gap in skill between the two was quite large, and with her current abilities, trying to kill Lin Chen was indeed hopeless.

”What do you mean ’you’? But by the way, I wonder how you are in bed. Why don’t we try it?” Lin Chen said with a grin.

”I’ll fight you to the death!” Ling Zi trembled with anger and, if it weren’t for Ye Zi holding her back, she would have definitely gone after Lin Chen with all her might.

”Alright, Lin Chen, say a bit less. Sister Ling Zi, calm down. You’re letting outsiders laugh at you,” Ye Zi said, pulling Ling Zi back.

Seeing the two stop arguing, the lead policeman finally asked, ”Miss, if this man violated you, you can file a report with us.”

”You’re the one who got violated, you and your whole family!” Ling Zi immediately directed her anger at the Island Nation police officer.

At this moment, an NH reporter came over to defuse the situation: ”Officer, it’s like this. This lady was bitten by a seven-star snake, and Yoshino intended to amputate her limb to promote the hospital, but it was this young Divine Doctor who saved her.”

As he spoke, the NH reporter showed the police the video Lin Chen had just made.

The policeman’s gaze turned cold: ”Director Yoshino’s actions are despicable. Rest assured, we will make sure he faces legal action.”

”Take him back to the station,” the policeman said to his two subordinates.

As the police left, Lin Chen shrugged and looked at Ling Zi, who was trembling with anger, and said with a smile, ”There’s a Chinese saying about dogs biting Lu Dongbin, not knowing a good heart when they see one. Today, I’ve truly understood the meaning of this saying.”

With that, Lin Chen turned and left the hospital.

Hearing Lin Chen just called her a dog, Ling Zi was almost exploding with rage, pointing in the direction Lin Chen left: ”You scoundrel, don’t let me see you again, or you’ll pay for this.”

The reporters and nurses were all baffled. Could these two be enemies from a past life? That man saved the girl, but after she woke up, they argued from beginning to end.

Listening to Ling Zi’s hysterical shouts behind him, a hint of a cold smile appeared on Lin Chen’s lips: ”Arguing with me? You’re still too green.”

At that moment, at Lin Chen’s home, Jia Xiaoqing, after picking herbs, felt her stomach growling with hunger.

”That bastard, making me do housework while he goes out gallivanting.”

With nothing else to do, Jia Xiaoqing wandered into the kitchen.

Opening the fridge, she found quite a few ingredients and decided to cook for herself.

Though her plans were grand, reality was harsh.

As the head of a gang, Jia Xiaoqing had no idea how to cook.

But with her stomach growling in protest, Jia Xiaoqing rolled up her sleeves and embarked on her first culinary adventure.

Lighting the stove, Jia Xiaoqing poured a generous amount of oil into a pan, suddenly remembering she hadn’t washed the ingredients she just took out, so she hurried to wash them.

After washing the veggies, she returned to find the oil spitting fiercely back at her, so she quickly tossed in the washed greens and meat.

”Now, what seasoning should I use?” Jia Xiaoqing wondered as she opened her phone to search for a stir-fried greens recipe.

”So that’s how it’s done!” Jia Xiaoqing exclaimed proudly, looking at the recipe on her phone.

She already pictured the delicious dish she would soon make. When Lin Chen came back, he would surely be pleasantly surprised.

But just then, the smell of burning hit her, and when she turned to look, she was stunned with fright.

Black smoke billowed from the pot, flames erupting alongside it.

”Oh no, it’s on fire!” Jia Xiaoqing’s face changed as she hurriedly threw a basin of water over the flames.

Initially, she thought the water would douse the fire, but the flames only roared higher.

The kitchen quickly filled with thick smoke, Jia Xiaoqing scrambling to put out the fire.

Lin Chen returned to the villa, and upon opening the door, caught a whiff of smoke.

”Oh no, what’s that girl up to at home?” Lin Chen rushed into the kitchen.

Inside, the room was engulfed in dark smoke and flames.

”Fire!” Lin Chen hurriedly grabbed a fire extinguisher from the corner and rushed in.

Amidst the smoke, Lin Chen couldn’t care about anything else and started spraying.

The fire finally out, the smoke cleared, revealing a woman covered in yellow powder head to toe, her whole body blackened by soot, standing in the kitchen.

Seeing this sight, Lin Chen shuddered: ”Whoa, a ghost!”

Jia Xiaoqing wiped the powder off her face, angrily staring at the dumbfounded Lin Chen holding the extinguisher.

A few seconds later, a screeching roar reverberated across the whole villa.

”Lin Chen, I’m going to kill you!”

To atone to Jia Xiaoqing, Lin Chen went to the supermarket, bought a chicken, and personally cooked, planning to make white cut chicken for her.

After washing up, Jia Xiaoqing returned to the kitchen, inspecting the chicken simmering in the pot. ”What are you making?” she asked.

Lin Chen smiled subtly, ”This is white cut chicken. You pluck the chicken, toss it into the pot, boil it, then add seasoning for taste. It’s very delicious.”

Watching the chicken roll in the pot, smelling the aroma wafting from it, Jia Xiaoqing felt her mouth water.

Sure enough, anything the little kitchen god makes must be top-notch.

Lin Chen’s dish of white cut chicken instantly won over Jia Xiaoqing’s stomach.

She practically devoured the whole chicken, leaving just the bones.

Wiping the grease off her lips, Jia Xiaoqing remarked with satisfaction, ”I didn’t expect your cooking to be quite good.”

Lin Chen chuckled, ”Now that you’ve eaten your fill and drank to your satisfaction, it’s your turn to enter the pot.”

”What did you say?” The pot was still the one used to cook the chicken, with even the same seasonings, though some water and herbs were added.

”Lin Chen, what do you mean? You want me to jump into the pot and get cooked like that chicken?” Jia Xiaoqing stared at the large pot, barely able to believe her eyes, staring at Lin Chen.

”Yeah, the chicken you just ate was actually a medicinal lead. You strip down and jump into the pot, boil in water, then add the herbs, not the seasonings...”

”And will I taste just as delicious when cooked?” Jia Xiaoqing snapped angrily.

”Well! Probably, but we’re treating an illness, not making a white cut human. I won’t actually cook you,” Lin Chen scratched his head, replying.
