Chapter 1007: Chapter 1008: Acupuncture Detoxification

Lin Chen’s gaze turned cold: ”I think you should be the one locked up. You’re clearly a quack doctor, recklessly destroying a patient’s happiness for the rest of her life. It’s simply unforgivable.”

”What are you saying?” Yoshino’s gaze turned cold upon hearing Lin Chen’s words.

”Hmph, the patient’s condition could be solved with just a few needles, yet you want to amputate her leg. Do you realize how painful it is for someone to lose their legs?” Lin Chen said coldly.

”Kid, don’t be so arrogant. Acupuncture is just a health regimen from China; it’s useless for treating illnesses. Claiming that acupuncture can cure the venom of the seven-star snake is simply a fool’s dream.”

Yoshino looked at Lin Chen with contempt, his eyes filled with mockery.

As he spoke, Yoshino unexpectedly reached out to shove Lin Chen: ”Get out of my way quickly and don’t delay me from treating the patient.”

”Slap!”

A loud slap landed on Yoshino’s face.

Yoshino was suddenly struck, staggering back four or five steps, clutching his reddened cheek, his face filled with disbelief.

”You... you dare hit me?”

Lin Chen snorted coldly and glanced at the TV station camera filming the scene: ”Wouldn’t it be deserved to hit someone who’s inhumane as a doctor?”

With that, Lin Chen’s gaze turned cold as he said: ”The reason you’re in such a hurry to perform an amputation is to cooperate with NH TV’s interview, right? Playing with a patient’s future for your selfish desires, tell me, is that deserving of a hit?”

”What nonsense are you talking about? I...” Yoshino’s thoughts were indeed exposed by Lin Chen, and his face turned ugly.

”Slap!”

Before Yoshino could finish speaking, Lin Chen slapped him again.

”This slap is for the patient. If the patient is amputated while unconscious, do you know how painful her life will be afterward? This slap is light; ruining a girl’s life is barely worth killing you.”

At this moment, Yoshino’s face was swollen like a pig’s head, yet he still argued for himself: ”But this is the safest way to save the girl’s life.”

”Slap!”

Lin Chen slapped Yoshino again, this time sending him flying.

”This slap is on behalf of all medical practitioners. As a doctor, if you can’t treat it, you should stabilize the condition and transfer the patient to a big hospital. Just half an hour’s drive from this hospital is New Star Hospital, which clearly has the serum for the seven-star snake venom, yet you’re here using the most foolish method to treat the patient. Do you deserve a slap?”

After hearing Lin Chen’s words, the two NH TV reporters were stunned too.

They initially came to interview the expired medicine incident at Yoshino Hospital but happened to witness Ling Zi being sent to the emergency room.

Their professional instincts told them this was a good story, so they abandoned their original intention to record how Yoshino Hospital treated the injured girl.

But they never expected that Yoshino, who almost treated this incident as a lifesaver, would commit such a heinous act to restore the hospital’s reputation through TV coverage.

Yoshino lay on the ground, sneering coldly: ”Kid, this is just your personal speculation. I’m doing this to save the girl’s life.”

Lin Chen saw Yoshino’s shameless refusal to admit the truth and shook his head, pulling out his phone.

This video was adjusted from the surveillance room by Lin Chen via the Qi System.

On the screen, a nurse ran over anxiously to Yoshino and said: ”Director Yoshino, we’ve already contacted New Star Hospital, they have the serum for the seven-star snake venom.”

”Wait, Keiko, don’t mention this to anyone. NH TV is preparing to report on our expired medicines. If we can save that girl this time, NH TV will definitely make a big report, and this expired meds incident will be overshadowed.” Yoshino said coldly.

”But, in doing so, this girl might die.” Keiko said anxiously.

”Don’t worry, as long as the amputation is successful, there’s a sixty percent chance I can save her. Keiko, the future of our Yoshino Hospital depends on this, don’t make the wrong choice.”

Keiko listened to Yoshino, still somewhat hesitant.

”Just keep this secret for me, and I’ll pay you 100,000 yen as hush money.” Yoshino continued to tempt her.

”Alright.” Keiko nodded, took the money, and left as if nothing happened.

Everyone gasped when they saw this video.

”Beast, garbage...”

Curses erupted from the surroundings. Yoshino’s face turned pale.

”Tell me, should such a beast of a doctor be beaten?” As he finished speaking, Lin Chen kicked Yoshino behind him.

Seeing Yoshino beaten like a pig’s head by Lin Chen, everyone felt a chill down their spine.

Yoshino fell heavily to the ground, trying to get up but his body was weak; he collapsed back on the floor.

At this moment, other doctors looked at Lin Chen as if he were a monster, not daring to approach him.

Lin Chen took out silver needles and then lifted Ling Zi’s shirt before inserting the needles one by one.

About ten minutes later, Lin Chen finally withdrew the needles.

However, Ling Zi hadn’t woken up even after Lin Chen retrieved the needles.

Just then, someone called the police, and several officers burst into the ward.

Yoshino looked at the police as if they were his saviors.

”Officer, this person is hindering us from treating the patient; he’s even killed her with his treatment.”

”Yes, it was this guy, boasting acupuncture could cure, yet his treatment has killed her.” Another middle-aged man chimed in.

The lead officer snorted coldly: ”Kid, you’re suspected of disrupting hospital order, causing a patient’s death; come with us.”

Lin Chen remained calm: ”Who said the patient died? It’s just not yet the right time.”

He pressed his hand on Ling Zi’s philtrum, and she opened her eyes instantly.

Everyone was dumbfounded seeing Ling Zi wake up.

Many have heard of silver needles saving lives, but witnessing it was utterly amazing.

Unexpectedly, upon waking, Ling Zi’s eyes were filled with hatred as she looked at Lin Chen.

”Lin Chen, you bastard, scoundrel, I’ll kill you!”

While speaking, Ling Zi jumped up from the bed, aiming a kick straight at Lin Chen’s legs.

Everyone was stunned at this scene; wasn’t the hero supposed to save the beauty, and then the girl repays him? This was way off.

”Hey, I’m your savior.” Lin Chen said helplessly while dodging Ling Zi’s punches.

”Don’t think I’ll spare you for saving my life. You did that to me, I won’t forgive you.”

Lin Chen awkwardly explained: ”Ling Zi, both incidents were really misunderstandings.”

”Misunderstandings? You did that, and yet you shamelessly claim it’s a misunderstanding.” Ling Zi said furiously.

Lin Chen was a bit annoyed too; despite saving her life, the other side wasn’t grateful and even insulted him.

”Hey, gorgeous, is this necessary? I accidentally saw you bathing in the river, so what?”

”Shut up!” Ling Zi instantly blushed like an apple.
