Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 636: Chapter 167: Version 6.0

”A purely mechanical perception system?”

The Host Brain finally turned off the ’movie’ and looked at Gao Gong curiously.

”Boss, are you planning to build a robot?”

”More or less,” Gao Gong said vaguely.

”Low-level robotic soldiers don’t need a perception system, only advanced mechanical warriors require sharper senses,” the Host Brain muttered to itself, suddenly raising its head:

”Boss, you have big ambitions!”

It is well known that on Mechanical Split Star, the most formidable mechanical lifeforms are called Cybertron Robots.

Out of the three Planet Hosts, two have little conventional military force, but just relying on Cybertron’s legion alone, they firmly suppress this planet.

The combat power of these Spark robots is imaginable.

”Interested?”

”Of course, Boss, this is a big project!”

In fact, the Host Brain was not wrong; Gao Gong indeed plans to build advanced mechanical soldiers, having stolen the ’Tier 3 Energy Technology Branch - Spark Technology’ from Cybertron, combined with the mechanical system of Du Gao Technology, it would be strange not to overrun.

But Gao Gong was thinking more than just that.

Once Director Du awakens, Gao Gong would have control of a spaceship with a subspace engine, which can fully support navigation within a star system.

By then, Gao Gong could truly advance or retreat as needed; if a Tier 3 - Hell-level mission like Cyber Tide couldn’t be stopped, then just like in the previous life, run away and roam the Interstellar Society.

If that’s the case, he would need a disguise.

Because following the carbon-based + mechanical route, although powerful in the early stages, mid-term also powerful, and even more later, but in the early stages, it is highly targeted.

Especially after the ’Insect Tide’ begins, with Blade Queen’s insects sweeping across a dozen star systems, destroying countless Planet Civilizations, the fusion route becomes a target for everyone.

Gao Gong naturally does not want to get caught in the crossfire, especially not from this great enemy of his past life.

Therefore, he must choose a route as the superficial direction of his technology tree.

Mechanical route, carbon-based route, energy route, or information route.

The latter two were directly excluded because they couldn’t be disguised at all.

As for taking the mechanical or the carbon-based route, for now, the mechanical route seems to have more advantages. Director Du is good at screwing screws, his own camp has produced mecha, chips, and arms, this type of mechanical civilization technology tree leaves, and taking the mechanical civilization path has significant early advantages, very adept at overrunning.

He could completely establish an Interstellar Mercenary Group, doing business of killing and arson openly, while in private, go to places in Gao Gong’s memory with ’Resource Points’, ’Knowledge Points’, for civilization development.

”Let’s go.”

”Boss, aren’t we going to investigate?”

”No need to investigate, there are no living people in the three settlements, so something must have happened in Undead City that attracted those patients.”

”What kind of change can attract these incurable patients, could it be heaven,” the Host Brain joked, turning back to see Gao Gong looking at him bizarrely.

”Uh, Boss, why are you looking at me like that?”

”I think what you said is quite possible.”

”Uh, I was just saying it casually, Boss, then let’s go.”

Gao Gong suddenly stopped the other person, looking at a pale, deformed strange tree in front of him, with twisted and contorted branches, where strands of flesh slowly squeezed out, blooming into blood-red flowers.

In the span of a breath, the tree crown was full of ’flowers’.

In a few breaths, ’maple leaves’ gathered, wrapped in red makeup, a sight of splendor.

”Boss!”

The Host Brain was startled and hurriedly looked at Gao Gong.

”Old Machine, I have to confess something to you,” Gao Gong said suddenly.

”No, Boss, in situations like this, is it plant mutation, or did the Vinos Life Safety Group strike again!?”

Gao Gong did not answer and continued:

”In fact, I brought you to the front line because I wanted to see if you would get infected by the ’Brain-Machine Virus’.”

”Ha!?”

”If a brain isn’t an organism, will it still get ’infected’, this is a very important reference factor, because if you aren’t infected, it at least shows that the mechanical brain won’t be infected.”

”Boss, what do you mean?”

”I mean, this is a corporate war, in a corporate war, the clashes between mercenaries are just trivial matters, the real battle is a technology battle.”

”Not to mention, your former boss Dou knew how to open a Virtual Realm, let alone some old supergroups.”

”Uh, Boss, could you be a little more explicit?”

”In other words, firing a few missiles, summoning a few A-level Radiation Beasts, those are just appetizers. Once it’s determined the appetizers don’t fill us up, then the opponent will get serious.”

”You mean, the current situation is caused by the enemy?”

The Host Brain wanted to ask further, but suddenly realized in horror that Gao Gong’s skin was beginning to crack inch by inch, as if consumed by a formless beast, disappearing one inch, one part at a time.

When he looked down and found his own body was the same and was disintegrating faster, he finally understood a bit, but also didn’t quite understand.

’The Boss is a Martial God, a Mar-Martial God.’

In his mind, a planet-level superpower like a Martial God, not to mention missiles, even a nuclear bomb might not take them down immediately.

But the current situation is, the boss is about to vanish.

’I, I don’t want to crash!!’

As his body dispersed like smoke, leaving only a last square-headed brain, which dropped to the ground with a thud.

In his final glance before death, he saw his boss similarly disappear, leaving only a skeleton standing there.

”What a sexy skeleton.”

The Host Brain didn’t know why this thought suddenly popped into his mind.

After the two ’died’, the ’blood flowers’ all over the mountains and fields suddenly withered, the entire process taking less than ten seconds.

And at the Mechanical City headquarters occupied by the Vinos Life Safety Group:

’Gurgle’ ’Gurgle’ sounds resounded again.

When the holographic screen lit up, five executives were once again ’resurrected in place’, during which Gaia adjusted her tie, smiled, and said:

”The ultimate safety of life lies in the fusion of the ’genome’, in this area, our group is the most advanced.”

”Miss, how long until a Martial God is digested?” Judy asked.

”One hour,” a gentle female voice sounded from the holographic screen, ”In an hour, I will give birth to my child.”

”Alright then, thank you.” Cain said.

”Serving you, serving the Vinos Clan, is my honor.”

”No, it’s our honor, Mother.”

...

’Zz’

’Ka-ka, Ka-ka’

’Dong dong, dong dong dong——’

”Hey, hey, are you awake, are you awake, is the power sufficient?”

It seemed someone was tapping on him.

The face screen crackled, then displayed a human face, a surprisingly handsome human face.

That must have been the original face of the ’Host Brain’, but sadly it became the boot screen.

The ’boot screen’ flashed briefly, and soon, the visual display on the ’Host’ lit up, revealing a gold skull in the visual display.

The Host Brain looked down, only to see a ’charging device’ at his neck, with a charger plugged into it, and at the end of the charger was a coin-sized ’reactor’.

Similar ’reactors’, with the chest as the core, were distributed in an X shape on the opposite skeleton, extending to both arms and legs.

And in its empty eye sockets, there was only one electronic eye.

”Ol- Boss?”

”It’s me.”

”Weren’t we, dead?”

”Yes, I revived you again.”

”Hmm——”

As the ’Host Brain’ began to resume operation, the Host Brain’s logical abilities started working again.

”So, Boss, your previous act was to alarm the opponent, provoking them to reveal their trump card.”

”And after they consumed our flesh and blood, fake death and rebirth?”

The Skullhead nodded, an internal speaker sounded.

”That’s the gist of it.”

”Boss, weren’t you worried they’d kill us in one move?”

”As long as you don’t have a brain-machine, it won’t kill you.”

After saying so, Gao Gong turned, carrying a ’display mainframe’ towards Undead City.

”Boss.”

”Hmm?”

”How did they do it?”

Gao Gong thought for a moment and said, ”Have you heard of biological computers?”

”I’ve heard, seems to be a kind of powerful biological processing system.”

”Let’s put it this way, if my biological computing power is equivalent to version 2.0, then what they showed is about version 6.0.”

”The four-version advantage, sure is strong,” the Host Brain sighed, then couldn’t help but say:

”Boss, while I admire your intelligence, why is your aesthetic so extravagant?”

Gao Gong looked down, glanced at the mechanical bone frame made of ’Metal Heart’ as the raw material, and sighed.

This is just the color of the material, what could he do?
