Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 558: Chapter 91: New Business

An island transformed, unmanned.

A multitude of unmanned machinery is operating, metal plates swiftly covering every corner of the island. The sound of ’boom boom boom’ echoes as mechas, towering over ten meters high, hit the ground. Although they appear heavy and clumsy, their movements are very agile, at least the staff beneath them don’t have to worry about getting crushed underfoot.

At the perimeter of the island, the iconic company security and unmanned machinery are patrolling. The prosthetic body security captain’s electronic prosthetic eye is vigilantly scanning every territory, the search beams flickering chaotically. As a wave crashes over, a flying Mechanical Claw People effortlessly swings a mechanical blade in its hand, easily slicing through the sonic-level sword light, causing a flurry of raindrops to fall like a sudden downpour.

On the near shore, one Radiation Beast after another swims ashore. These ’Radiation Beasts’ include radiation fish, some are a kind of seabed plankton, and others are Mechanical Octopuses. But regardless of the type, these Marine Radiation Beasts begin their Transformation halfway, limbs morphing out, mechanical plates, or biological plates starting to decompose, and by the time their feet hit the shore, they have already become ’Humanoid Creatures’.

”Shift change, shift change!”

”This damn weather, it’s been seven or eight days, why is it still pouring rain like this?”

”No tendency for seabed radiation beasts to gather detected, report completed.”

”What’s for dinner today?”

The Prosthetic Body Security, unmanned machines, and even the Hunters haven’t noticed that above the cloud layers they can’t see, a spatial coefficient has changed slightly.

And underwater, inside a massive semi-formed mechanical creation, resembling an Earth Crust Engine but lacking a reactor core, Director Du keeps his hands in his pockets, watching calmly ahead where a group of working machines is performing ’energy mapping’.

On the electronic screen, a stable energy curve suddenly jumped slightly.

”Hmm?”

”Director Du, your efficiency is extraordinarily high!” An arm familiarly wraps around Du Zhaodi’s waist, as energetic as ever.

Almost simultaneously, several guards hidden in the shadows burst forth; some drop down from eaves, others reveal themselves on the ground, small red dots on the walls directly targeting Gao Gong’s forehead.

”What a lively setup,” Gao Gong says with a grin, allowing the edge of a swinging blade to touch his forehead.

”Stand down!”

As expected, just as the voice sounded, the two guards immediately returned to their invisible states without a word.

”Invisibility of the Radiation Beasts? One is ’pigment simulation’, and the other is ’visual interference’,” only when the attack paused for a moment did the two guards reveal their faces; they were two young female Hunters, both highly leveled at level 30, though not Carbon Fusion.

”Where’s Daisila? Isn’t she your personal bodyguard?” Gao Gong asked in surprise.

”I sent him out with Qin Chunzi; there’s a business negotiation,” Du Zhaodi’s face flashed with a look of joy, but then she put on a stern face, complaining: ”Look at you, it’s been so many days you haven’t returned, even your employees can’t recognize you.”

Gao Gong shrugged it off, leaned into Du Zhaodi’s ear, and said something playful to please the Rich Lady, quickly making her smile again.

”But Director Du, your speed is quite something,” Gao Gong clicked his tongue: ”If I remember correctly, I only gave you the technical documentation for the ’Earth Crust Engine’ a week ago, yet you’ve already got the framework up?”

”You should know that’s not difficult for me,” Director Du slightly raised her palm, and the hundreds of sensors not visible to the naked eye under her skin simultaneously activated. The next moment, around the Earth Crust Engine, thousands of unmanned machines simultaneously began operating, and a dozen giant mechanical tentacles emerged from the seabed, starting the heavy metal transportation work.

Nothing is more persuasive than the system panel; at this moment, Director Du’s Mechanical Energy has already exceeded two million, heading towards three million.

Although the Mechanical Energy of Artificial Intelligence isn’t the same as that of a normal panel, you can still see the terror of this one. As far as Radiation Beasts are concerned, she can be considered an S-Level Mechanical Engineering Beast.

Random thoughts flashed through Gao Gong’s mind, and Gao knew that compared to him, who acts as a mere figurehead, someone like Director Du, an industrial AI, is more susceptible to faction influence. The stronger the physical industry, the stronger she becomes. All her mechanical factories and mechanical creations are part of her ’industrial computer’.

”Alright, it’s rare to meet, so let’s not talk about these things. Let’s discuss more interesting topics, such as...”

Gao Gong’s hand exerted force, and in an instant, the two figures vanished, appearing in a room on the island.

An hour later, donning Gao Gong’s white shirt, aside from a slightly reddened face, Director Du maintained her composed demeanor, crossing her white legs and sitting on a messy bed in contemplation.

”So, you mean, all the technological products on this planet are actually meant for those thirteen Destruction Forms?”

”You could say that.”

”You merged with the No. 5 Destruction Form and became its perfect pilot.”

”Yes, how is it? Pretty effective, right?” someone brazenly bragged.

”But Xiao—” Director Du suddenly paused. She remembered how Xiao Yu performed when attacking the Holy Brain Group’s experimental base but was puzzled.

”If Xiao Yu is truly the No. 7 Destruction Form, the pinnacle technological marvel of the last era, then at least in some areas, she hasn’t demonstrated it — like your terrifying capabilities.”

After all, according to Gao Gong, anywhere on this planet, as long as he wishes, he can arrive within three minutes. This is the Authority granted by mastering the ’Purple Energy Strings,’ the advanced Spatial Energy.

This capability, Xiao Yu has not demonstrated.

”Because it’s incomplete,” Gao Gong shook his head, saying: ”Not every Destruction Form is a Complete Form. As far as I know, Sister Rose—”

Seeing Director Du raise an eyebrow, Gao Gong immediately switched his words: ”This little brat Xiao Yu’s super close-range combat skills stem from ancient empire’s powerful Mecha Technique. This means, to fully harness her skills, a unique armor set is needed.”

”And not just any armor. If my guess is right, it should belong to the last Intelligent Brain Emperor, the Black Prince’s exclusive vehicle.”

”No wonder,” Director Du muttered to herself, finally understanding why Xiao Yu displayed unmatched Talent in piloting Mecha.

”By the way, where is Xiao Yu?”

”She should be at the Holy Brain Group Headquarters now.”

”Holy Brain Group?!”

”That person seemed very interested in Xiao Yu, and since both parties formally signed cooperation agreements, we also needed to dispatch liaison personnel, so she was sent out.”

That person, the 550-experiment subject, the young female CEO?

Seemingly struck by a thought, Director Du suddenly said: ”According to you, that super terroristic Bionic A is also a Destruction Form, one of the three great Bionic Destruction Forms, corresponding to nanotechnologies in Bionic Technology?”

”Yes, that monster is indeed very strong.”

On this planet, there are few whose strength Gao Gong acknowledges.

Du Zhaodi visibly displayed an interested expression, pondered for a moment, and said: ”Since you can pilot No. 5, then, may I pilot the No. 10 Destruction Form?”

Gao Gong was taken aback, saying: ”In theory, it’s possible, but why do you—?”

Before finishing his sentence, Gao Gong immediately realized the reason. Bionic Men cannot have children, and the same goes for half-bionics, but if they pilot the ’nanotechnologies in bionic technology,’ they could achieve 100% biological human bionics.

Oh no, here I thought sleeping with the Rich Lady would just be that, but she wants an heir as well.

”That leader of the bionic insurgent army is quite formidable; even Mother City can’t handle him. But since it’s you, Director Du, I’ll give it a try...”

Gao Gong wouldn’t refuse face-to-face, but to be honest, Bionic A is one of the few on this planet who can break the level 60 cap and, being a nanotech lifeform, is nearly impossible to kill.

Even in the past life, Gao Gong didn’t recall anyone defeating him.

”By the way, Director Du, I heard you started a new service at Du Gao Technology?”
