Blacksmith of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1351: Piety of Beashaz

Although Seth wanted to directly affirm his theory and test the new power he had discovered, he already had more than enough to do in the moment. Instead, he turned his excitement back to the fresh set of items before him.

At first glance at the Tenacity of Beashaz, the ring with a tear-shaped monster core on it, he was able to confirm that his effort to raise durability was not in vain. The original durability was more than tripled, and it was actually more durable than some of Sethʼs own rings.

Surprisingly, the Power of the effect “Tenacity of Beashaz” had not weakened on the ring, despite splitting the original prayer bead apart. Seth had expected each set piece to inherit a weakened part of the legendary effects, and they would regain their strength as a set effect.

However, the ring granted 185 strength and endurance. The additional 35 were a split from the soulʼs enchantment. In addition, there were the effects of the Pearl of Sai, one being Defense of Saishako. The effect raised physical defense by 50% against melee damage and by 30% against ranged attacks.

The other was . Seth knew what to expect, but his eyes still widened when he read the description of the skill.

”I only need one punch...”

Charging for at least 10 Seconds without moving doubles the physical damage of the next punch.

Increases Physical Damage by 100% for every additional 30 seconds of charging, up to 10 times the physical damage.>

He was prepared for a good skill, but this was more than he had expected from an epic material. A 10-second charge up to double your attack power was terrifying. Taking into account that Fin was pretty good with barriers and defense, who knew how close to 10 times damage she could get in a fight?

However, the actually broken part of the skill was that you didnʼt need to be in combat to charge up the skill. This meant wearing the ring would be like walking around with a loaded gun at all times. Any match could start off with a punch 10 times its usual power. He already felt pity for her opponents.

But this was not thanks to just the Pearl of Sai. Seth knew from Sivri, that this skill usually cost a shit load of mana. Apparently, only a few people used this skill past the 10-second charge, as it simply cost too much mana.

Even if you could charge it outside of combat, it was not a skill anyone could comfortably use as it would constantly drain mana. If it wasnʼt for the soul of Pithra shouldering that cost, the skill would be far from as broken as it was.

Apart from the monster skills, it also held the passive skill , arguably also a monster skill... strengthened all skills related to unarmed combat by 25% and added 3 points to the multipliers for physical damage and defense.

It didnʼt sound like much, but it could stack depending on the number and kind of skills that were affected. For example, it could stack on the Punch of Saishaku, making that one hit deal 12.5 times the damage. Unnecessary to mention how important the multipliers were.

Withstanding the urge to unfurl the set effects just yet, Seth hurriedly turned to the second ring to see what options it had inherited from the enchantments. The Rings shared various options, but were fundamentally different in some ways.

-- collapsed--

A dereliction of a legendary item. The ring is part of a Magnum Opus of Master Smith, the first Master Blacksmith and Master Enchanter of Urth. Using mysterious means and elusive skills partially beyond mortal power, he has managed to reforge a legend. >

This ring had inherited the power of the effect of Piety of Beashaz from the original prayer bead. However, unlike the Tenacity, the effect had weakened this time, according to Sethʼs expectations, but against his recent experience.

Instead of increasing the power by 150%, it only doubled it. On the other hand, the effect had split, making it clear that these two could stack to quadruple the power of divine healing spells. But why had the effect of the first ring not changed like this?

Despite his curiosity, Seth checked out the other effects, which were not too different from what he expected. There was the effect and skill of the monster bead, similar to the first ring. But in this case, the specialization was a little different.

While Saishako were heavy hitter, the Ginshako were known for their speed and precision. The monster used its traits to impale its victims on its long weaponized claws. Accordingly, the Agility of Ginshako raised the wearerʼs Agility by 50 points and their attack speed by 30%.

However, the true power of the beast was hidden in the skill granted by the ring.

“Just do it.”

You gain 50% Attack speed for the duration of the skill.

You gain +10% Armor Penetration for every normal hit dealt within the duration of the skill up to 100%.>

Not only did the skill allow you to hit faster, but you were able to gain armor penetration up to the point that your attack ignored defense. Seth had seen Fin punch so fast that it looked like she had several fists flying. The fairy brute could probably get in several true damage hit with every use of the skill, even in those that were not strengthened by active skills.

Lastly, there was , which was similar in nature to Arʼethʼs 42 Fire Cantrips or Kagorʼs Fire Magic from Sethʼs Salamander Skin. The passive skill allowed access to the skills of the soul of Pithra.

Either the wearer was granted the skill at the level of the soul, or if the wearer possessed the same skill, it would add additional levels to those. It had no effect on the skills of a higher level or grade than her own, which was understandable.

With this, Fin would be able to instantly gain access to all the skills the dragon newt monk had collected and trained during her life. She would probably take a while to get used to it, but just the passive skills were quite amazing. For example, lv.7, added point to defense and unarmed attack multipliers.

It was hard for Seth to tell whether or , he liked both a lot, even when he couldnʼt really profit from the skills themselves. He was a blacksmith; his hands were his tools, not his weapons. His weapons were his weapons.

Finally, excited to treat himself to a view of the set effect, Seth turned to appraise the pendant. The pendant was a little more special than the rest, since it held the core of the Hadashiko. Unlike its relatives, it was neither specialized in physical attack nor in physical defense.

The creatureʼs relation to the other two was often argued, as it was said to have a small build and an ostentatious but soft shell. However, it was simply a different evolution. The Hadashiko specialized in magic, covering itself in a barrier for defense and attack with a powerful magic skill.

This was mirrored in the power of the pendant.
