Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 340: Chapter 203: The Crying Moon Goddess’s Call

All told, it had been less than two months since Zhong Yi had come to develop in the Guardian Beast World.

Zhong Yi was still in his developmental phase. When it came to a war involving entire federations, he couldn’t offer much help in terms of combat power.

However, if anyone was injured in the war, Zhong Yi, as the Xin Xia Alliance’s only Healing-type Celestial Destiny Seeker, could use the Resurrection Celestial Lord to heal them.

This gave Zhong Yi unparalleled strategic importance.

Every time Zhong Yi healed one of those powerful individuals, he could use the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Exclusive Trait, Withered Oasis, to store the damage.

The two strongest federations on the Dragon’s Roost Continent were the Xin Xia Federation and the Blazing Kite Federation.

If the Blazing Kite Federation was truly involved, the dozens of smaller federations scattered across the Dragon’s Roost Continent would likely wait for an opportunity to make their move.

Besides the dozens of federations, the Dragon’s Roost Continent was also home to numerous hidden factions.

These hidden factions included not only those formed by the Bizarre, but also those composed of Guardian Beast Masters, or even a mix of Guardian Beast Masters and the Bizarre.

The situation was extremely intricate and complex, making it difficult to sort out at a moment’s notice.

’However, I think I have a general idea of the reason behind it.’

’The world outside the Guardian Beast World is completely alien to me.’

’But I know a lot about the situation within the Guardian Beast World.’

’In the game I designed, there was a storyline involving a war between the Shuojin Federation and the Mirage Sea Federation.’

’I remember that as the plot unfolded, the old king of the Shuojin Federation fell, and three heirs began to fight for the throne.’

’The three heirs were locked in a cutthroat struggle, with the empress’s relatives also getting involved.’

’The Mirage Sea Federation had originally been resisting the Sea Race, but for some reason, they began to cooperate with them in secret.’

’Several powerful factions, including the Purifying Moon Sect, were actively engaging with both the Shuojin Alliance and the Mirage Sea Federation.’

’The ultimate goal of this storyline was the fight for a Sea Abyss.’

’Hidden within this Sea Abyss was a great treasure that could be called a Sacred Artifact!’

’After completing this storyline in the game, the player could open a chest inside the Sea Abyss, and its contents were random.’

’So I’m not sure what this great treasure, this Sacred Artifact, actually is.’

’As for the Blazing Kite Federation, they and the Mirage Sea Federation have always been in cahoots.’

’The Shuojin Alliance’s overall strength was greater than the Mirage Sea Federation’s, and the latter also had to deal with incursions from the Sea Race.’

’To maintain their rule over the Mirage Sea Alliance, their Royal Race arranged extensive marriages between their direct descendants and the collateral branches of several prominent families in the Blazing Kite Federation.’

’Although the Mirage Sea Federation did this to borrow the Blazing Kite Alliance’s power and stabilize their own throne...’

’After all, in the world of Guardian Beast Masters, Talent is completely random.’

’Xin Xia is so prosperous mainly because the rulers of all its Heroic Cities are Celestial Destiny Seekers.’

’There are rarely any major conflicts among the rulers within the Heroic Cities.’

’But in a situation like the Mirage Sea Alliance, where a single family rules the entire federation, that family must constantly absorb Celestial Destiny Seekers from the outside.’

’Relying on external power to maintain control is both awkward and fragile.’

’The Royal Race of the Mirage Sea Alliance has to rely on these absorbed Celestial Destiny Seekers while also being constantly on guard against them.’

’Right now, the internal affairs of both the Shuojin Federation and the Mirage Sea Federation are a complete mess.’

’For Fengjiang City of the Xin Xia Federation to be implicated at a time like this, dragging the Xin Xia Federation into the war, the shadow of the Blazing Kite Federation must be involved.’

Although Zhong Yi had only been a Celestial Destiny Seeker for a short time, he was definitely considered a core member of the Xin Xia Federation.

Among the ranks of Celestial Destiny Seekers, even if his status couldn’t compare to the Three Emperors, Four Venerables, and Five Monarchs, it was still much higher than that of an ordinary Celestial Destiny Seeker.

In his previous conversations with Star Night, Zhong Yi hadn’t heard any news related to the Sacred Artifact in the Sea Abyss.

If the Blazing Kite Federation was only after the Sacred Artifact itself, there would be no need to drag the Xin Xia Federation into this mess.

Once the Xin Xia Federation got involved in the conflict between the Shuojin Federation and the Mirage Sea Federation, it would inevitably investigate the cause of their struggle.

At that time, the Xin Xia Federation would surely obtain some information about the Sacred Artifact.

’It’s true that I was the game’s designer, and I did cross over into the game world.’

’But this world is filled with billions upon billions of living Creatures, and things are happening every single moment.’

’Every flap of a butterfly’s wings could set off a chain reaction.’

’I have no clue what the Blazing Kite Alliance’s goal is. I can only wait and see how things develop.’

”Brother Sun, let’s head back for now. If they really need me for something, Brother Tao, Sister Zhuo, and Star Night will come find me.”

”While I was gone exploring the Secret Realm these past few days, did you Contract any new Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snakes?”

”When I was in Longya City, I had Brother Zhao specifically look for a few individuals with exceptional potential for you.”

”Brother Zhao told me the Bloodline of one of the Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snakes even mutated slightly, growing a colorful crown on its head.”

Seeing how concerned Zhong Yi was for him, Sun Yushi replied gratefully.

”Young Master, I’ve already Contracted all three of those Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snakes.”

”Master Tao En said that the Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snake with the crown on its head is not only skilled at close combat, but its mutation also brought back its poison glands, which should have devolved away.”

”The crown on its head is connected to these mutated poison glands, allowing it to spray venom over a large area and from a long distance.”

”The crucial thing is, this mutant’s venom has no effect on other members of the Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snake species. In fact, it can even send other Three-Colored River-Swallowing Snakes that ingest it into a bloodthirsty, frenzied state.”
