Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 317: Chapter 191: Rejection Crystal Bee (Bee Mother)

This mutated Geomagnetic Bee was unlike ordinary ones, which possessed offensive Basic Skills like Geomagnetic Missile.

Instead, it had a Skill called Magnetic Energy Reproduction!

With Magnetic Energy Reproduction, this mutated Geomagnetic Bee could absorb Earth Attribute Magnetic Material and secrete a substance called Queen Bee Magnetic Crystal to reproduce.

Its offspring shared the exact same Bloodline.

In other words, the offspring produced by the mutated Geomagnetic Bee were all individuals without Tail Needles.

Because these individuals were incapable of reproduction, all reproductive power for the entire colony was held firmly in the hands of this one mutated Geomagnetic Bee.

Geomagnetic Bees were said to be a very special type of bee-type Guardian Beast because they had a reproductive method completely different from other bee-type Guardian Beasts.

This had been the long-standing claim of scholars, which clearly indicated they had failed to uncover the secret of the mutated Geomagnetic Bee.

’Initially, these scholars must have also studied the Geomagnetic Bees that didn’t grow Tail Needles.’

The Geomagnetic Bees that didn’t grow Tail Needles and also lacked a new pair of short, thick antennae on their heads were indeed useless.

Only the Geomagnetic Bees that could condense Magnetic Material in their abdomens were the ones capable of breeding a colony.

However, with the preconceived notion that Geomagnetic Bees without Tail Needles were useless, no one would have ever fed them large amounts of Magnetic Material.

Therefore, these mutated Geomagnetic Bees, which grew an extra pair of antennae on their heads, never had a chance to display their abilities.

Even though Zhong Yi hadn’t formed a Contract with it yet, the mutated Geomagnetic Bee rested obediently in his palm.

Its insect legs clutched tightly at the small glob of Magnetic Material it had painstakingly secreted from its abdomen, looking rather pitiful.

Zhong Yi poured five or six pounds of Special Level Magnetic Ore Crystals with Strong Magnetism onto the floor of his room, then placed the mutated Geomagnetic Bee on top of them.

Upon seeing the Magnetic Ore Crystals, the mutated Geomagnetic Bee first crawled around the pile for a while, as if inspecting its territory.

Then, it extended a siphon-like proboscis similar to that of a butterfly Guardian Beast, which looked very soft and curled.

After extending, this very soft and curled proboscis actually pierced directly into the extremely hard Magnetic Ore Crystal.

It began to rapidly consume the Magnetic Ore Crystals, as if sucking them up.

In just over ten minutes, the mutated Geomagnetic Bee had consumed a volume of Magnetic Ore Crystals several times its own body size.

Zhong Yi didn’t give the Geomagnetic Bee a chance to secrete Queen Bee Magnetic Paste from its abdomen. Instead, he placed a Soul Taming Seed in front of it.

The Soul Taming Seed was clearly far more attractive to the Geomagnetic Bee than the Special Level Magnetic Ore Crystals with Strong Magnetism.

The moment its proboscis pierced the Soul Taming Seed, the seed flowed like a liquid through the proboscis and into the mutated Geomagnetic Bee’s body.

Immediately after, the mutated Geomagnetic Bee’s delicate, half-thumb-sized body instantly cracked apart, revealing the soft insect tissue within.

As its body split open, Zhong Yi could see the Insect Protein within its tissues rapidly reorganizing.

Zhong Yi didn’t know if it was because insects were insensitive to pain, or if this Geomagnetic Bee had just never been so well-fed before.

It completely ignored its cracking and restructuring body and continued to absorb the remaining Magnetic Ore Crystals on the ground.

Zhong Yi poured out some more Special Level Magnetic Ore Crystals with Strong Magnetism and then took out the Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystals.

The Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystals, which looked like pomegranate seeds, immediately captured the Geomagnetic Bee’s interest.

Soon, the Geomagnetic Bee had absorbed all five Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystals!

After absorbing the Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystals, the Geomagnetic Bee’s body began to emit a red glow from the inside out.

Riding the momentum, Zhong Yi took out both the Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystal Ore Core, which was so red it was almost black, and the Magnetic Tourmaline, placing them before the Geomagnetic Bee.

Once the Geomagnetic Bee had absorbed the Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystal Ore Core and all three Magnetic Tourmalines...

...its body not only emitted the red glow of the Repulsive-Attractive Red Crystal, but also a magnificent, rose-colored light like that of the Magnetic Tourmaline.

The two colored lights intertwined, obscuring Zhong Yi’s view of the Geomagnetic Bee’s condition.

Zhong Yi didn’t even eat lunch, watching over the evolving Geomagnetic Bee the entire time.

The light enveloping the Geomagnetic Bee didn’t completely dissipate until just before dinner.

Looking at the Geomagnetic Bee before him, whose Bloodline had evolved an unknown number of times, Zhong Yi’s face filled with amazement.

It had formed a Soul Taming Seed Contract and devoured so many rare materials.

Yet, not only had its body not grown larger, it had actually become even more petite than before.

Before its Evolution, the Geomagnetic Bee had been half the size of a thumb; now, it was only the size of a thumbnail.

The Geomagnetic Bee, with its newly evolved Bloodline, no longer looked much like a living creature. Instead, it resembled an exquisite work of art carved from red crystal.

And it was even more delicate than the vast majority of artworks!

As its transparent, light-red wings beat gently, one could see they were embedded with fine, rose-colored tourmaline fragments.

Every joint of its insect body was adorned with rose-colored tourmaline.

It made the evolved Geomagnetic Bee look exceptionally magnificent!

Zhong Yi had just stretched out his hand when the Geomagnetic Bee, having finished absorbing all the Magnetic Ore Crystals on the ground, landed on his fingertip.

Seemingly uncomfortable on his fingertip, it flapped its wings a couple of times and landed on the Button fastened at the collar of Zhong Yi’s shirt.

It was as if it had become an ornament on Zhong Yi’s clothes!

Zhong Yi picked up the evolved Geomagnetic Bee again and used All Things Exploration to inspect it.

[Guardian Beast Name]: Rejection Crystal Bee (Bee Mother)

[Guardian Beast Species]: Crystal Bee Species/Gem Bee Species

[Guardian Beast Level]: Mortal Beast Level (1/10)

[Guardian Beast Type]: Earth Element

[Guardian Beast Quality]: Silver Quality

Skills:

[Magnetic Energy Reproduction]: Absorbs Earth Attribute Magnetic Material and secretes Queen Bee Magnetic Paste to rapidly reproduce individuals that share its Bloodline. (Reproduced individuals are sterile and their Energy intensity cannot surpass that of the parent.)

Exclusive Traits:

[Absolute Exclusion]: Converts Magnetic Force into Repulsive Force, repelling everything within a designated range centered on itself. Sacrificing offspring can extend the duration and increase the strength of the Repulsive Force.

[Energy Shield Reversal]: Sacrifices offspring to form a Magnetic Shield using the Magnetic Force within their bodies. When the Magnetic Shield takes an attack, each time it shatters, it reflects the attack back at the target as a Magnetic Wave. The reflected damage is equal to half the Energy of the attack that broke the shield.

A quick check revealed to Zhong Yi that the Geomagnetic Bee had evolved into a Guardian Beast called the Rejection Crystal Bee.

Its Guardian Beast Species had evolved from the Miner Bee Species/Magnetic Bee Species to the Crystal Bee Species/Gem Bee Species.

Zhong Yi knew of other Guardian Beasts in the Gem Bee Species, such as the Sea Blue Needle Bee and the Yellow Diamond Poison Bee.

In terms of appearance, the Sea Blue Needle Bee and Yellow Diamond Poison Bee were far inferior to the Rejection Crystal Bee.

After its successive Bloodline Evolutions, the Rejection Crystal Bee’s Basic Skill, Magnetic Energy Reproduction, had also changed from its original form.

Originally, the Geomagnetic Bee secreted Queen Bee Magnetic Paste to reproduce individuals sharing its Bloodline.

Now, after its Bloodline Evolution, the Rejection Crystal Bee could use the secreted Queen Bee Magnetic Paste to reproduce its offspring even faster.

Judging from the two Exclusive Traits the Rejection Crystal Bee gained upon reaching Silver Quality, all of its defensive abilities required the cooperation of the offspring it produced.

With its Exclusive Trait, Absolute Exclusion, the Rejection Crystal Bee could convert its own vast Magnetic Force into Repulsive Force.

Using itself as the center, it could repel all matter and Energy about to make contact with Zhong Yi.

The Exclusive Trait, Absolute Exclusion, was precisely the defensive measure Zhong Yi needed most right now.

This sudden burst of Repulsive Force would be enough to provide Zhong Yi with excellent protection!

If the offspring bred by the Rejection Crystal Bee were sacrificed, not only would the strength of the Repulsive Force it unleashed increase, but its duration would also be extended.
