Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce

Ivy Vance’s brow immediately furrowed. ”Who is my brother chatting with?”

The assistant subconsciously glanced at Walker Grant before saying, ”It’s... Mrs. Grant.”

Ivy Vance froze, completely bewildered.

’When did my brother meet Chloe Reed?’

Sunny Reed overheard from the side. She immediately looked at Walker Grant and forced a smile. ”Walker, my sister is so impressive. To think she already knew Mr. Vance.”

Walker Grant’s expression had been distant and indifferent ever since he arrived, but at these words, his sharp brows instantly furrowed.

He shot to his feet, turned, and left the private room.

”Walker...”

Sunny Reed immediately hurried after him.

Ivy Vance got up and followed them, too. She was simply curious and had to see what was going on.

But when they went out, there was no trace of the pair on the balcony.

Ian Spencer was standing nearby. When he saw Ivy Vance emerge, he stepped forward and said, ”Miss Vance, Mr. Vance asked me to let you know that he’s left for the evening. He said you can preside over the rest of the event.”

Ivy Vance frowned. ”Where did my brother go?”

”I don’t know,” Ian Spencer replied.

Ivy Vance frowned. ’How could he not know? He’s Preston Vance’s assistant!’

’And clearly, Preston Vance told him not to say anything.’

Ivy Vance’s lips curved into a smile. ”Right, I understand. Go on, get back to your work.”

”Very well.”

Ivy Vance then turned to Walker Grant. ”Mr. Grant, didn’t you want to discuss a partnership with the Vance Group? I can talk to you about it.”

’Her palms were sweating. A chance to talk business with Walker Grant, to get close to him—this is what she’d always wanted!’

Walker Grant, however, didn’t even spare her a glance. He pulled out his phone, dialed a number, and demanded, ”Where is she?”

Whatever was said on the other end of the line made his expression turn even darker.

After hanging up, he headed straight for the stairs.

Sunny Reed was baffled, but she had a sharp intuition that this was definitely about Chloe Reed.

She immediately rushed after him. ”Walker, where are you going? You promised me about the partnership with the Vance Group...”

Walker Grant shot her a cold glance. ”Preston Vance is gone. What partnership is there to talk about?”

Sunny Reed bit her lip. ”But Miss Vance is still here...”

Walker Grant’s tone was dismissive. ”She doesn’t call the shots at the Vance Group.”

With that, he headed for the exit.

But just then, Selene Adler approached. She had been searching for Walker Grant and had finally spotted him.

”Mr. Grant, Mrs. Grant is over there and would like to see you.” Selene Adler blocked his path.

”Get out.”

Walker Grant’s expression was dark. He had no pleasantries for the woman who had appeared at Chloe Reed’s home, and his voice was cold and terrifying.

Selene Adler flinched. But thinking of what Mrs. Grant wanted her to do, she braced herself and said, ”Mr. Grant, it really is Mrs. Grant who wants to see you. Please, just go over for a moment.”

A flicker of impatience crossed Walker Grant’s dark, deep eyes. ”Are you going to get out of my way or not? If you don’t, I’ll have someone throw you out of this place.”

Terrified, Selene Adler quickly stepped aside.

Walker Grant strode away, an icy chill radiating from him.

Selene Adler’s face was pale. She was suddenly having second thoughts.

’A man this volatile... He frightened her.’

She returned to Judith Pierce’s side and, pale-faced, recounted what had just happened.

Judith Pierce’s brow furrowed slightly upon hearing the story.

She took out her phone to call Walker Grant.

But this time, the call didn’t connect. He had rejected it.
