The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1250: Chapter 1250: Bug

As soon as they sat at the two machines, Lin Tian and Wu Yong felt an adrenaline rush, watching the amounts on the screen skyrocket; it was unbelievably thrilling.

After all, who would complain about having too much money, right?

But after playing for a while, that excitement wore off a bit. The allure of gambling is the sharp contrast between winning and losing that delivers a huge sensory thrill. If you keep winning, it can actually become pretty dull.

Anyway... Both of them aren’t exactly short on money; they mainly came to annoy the Wang Family. Without making enough money, they naturally couldn’t leave.

Very soon, they drew the attention of many gamblers around them. The onlookers kept increasing, eventually forming a crowd encircling the two machines, tightly packed.

Lin Tian faced the computer, and all the onlookers stood behind him; nobody could recognize him.

”Bro, how did you manage to win like that? It’s just crazy!”

”Yeah, this luck is amazing! Hardly lost at all. Incredible!”

The onlookers babbled on, not realizing that they were cheating, exploiting a bug on the machines to alter payout rates, while someone was manipulating things behind the scenes.

After all, since the gaming arena opened, no one had ever heard of someone being able to cheat.

Feeling bored, Wu Yong heard someone inquire and promptly rested his feet on the chair, smoking and bragging while playing. He said, ”Hey, I’ve played these machines before; after a few rounds, I picked up some tricks. Don’t be fooled by my relaxed demeanor—it’s actually quite brain-draining. Plus a bit of luck, and winning becomes super easy.”

People around listened to him as if it were true. Some joined the conversation, ”I think this young guy has skills; he knows some tricks.”

”Yeah, looks that way. Young man, how about teaching us a trick or two?” someone asked.

Wu Yong flicked the ash from his cigarette, smiled broadly, and said, ”This skill is my secret technique; it’s not something you can just teach.”

”Forget it; why would he teach for free? Even if he’s willing, you wouldn’t afford the price.”

”Exactly, take a closer look; maybe you’ll find a pattern.”

”Pattern my ass, I’ve been playing here for over a month, lost plenty, what pattern could there be?”

As everyone debated, suddenly the crowd parted, Lin Tian heard someone say, ”Black Pockmark is here.”

Turning his head, he saw a man in a colorful shirt leading a group of gaming arena staff over. The man in the colorful shirt was indeed covered in dense black pockmarks.

”Finally noticed, slower than expected,” Lin Tian thought quietly.

Before winning this much money, Lin Tian knew it would eventually attract the attention of gaming staff. After all, these machines were unnaturally high in payout rates. Moreover, after such a big fuss at the underground gaming arena, they surely received some information about it, and maybe he’d been monitored by them since arriving at the casino.

Someone cleared a path, and Black Pockmark easily led the way to Lin Tian and Wu’s vicinity.

”Mr. Lin, Mr. Wu,” Black Pockmark called from behind them, rather respectfully.

Wu Yong glanced at him impatiently, saying, ”Speak up, I’m having fun here!”

”I regret informing you that these two machines have a bug; the payout rate is overly high. Therefore, the current amount... might not be valid. Of course, we will offer compensation,” Black Pockmark replied softly, understanding his actions were offensive, his tone had to be courteous.

Just as Lin Tian suspected, the gaming arena is aware of what they did at the underground gaming venue. Knowing these guys are troublemakers here to stir things up, but Black Pockmark isn’t worried. The casino’s main server is under their control; they can make him win or lose at will.

Having secured an unbeatable position, what was there to fear?

However, soon someone reported anomalies—two people won over ten million in mere minutes, and they bet significantly. At this rate, they would soon break a hundred million!

Instantly alarmed, Black Pockmark ordered his team to lower the machines’ payout rates and recover losses quickly.

But later, his team informed him someone hacked the internal network and already altered the machines’ payout rates, rendering them unchangeable.

Enraged, Black Pockmark intended to kill, hastily stormed over with his group without even cursing. If Lin kept winning, his position might be jeopardized!

Wu Yong disagreed, blowing his beard and glaring, saying, ”That’s bullshit! I’ve worked hard here to win so much, and now you tell me there’s a bug? Trying to fool me like a toddler? Get lost!”

Black Pockmark forced a bitter smile, forecasting such reactions. Despite a pent-up fury, he spoke softly, ”We’re truly sorry, it’s our mistake.”

Suddenly, Lin Tian stood, turned to Black Pockmark, and smiled, ”My buddy and I each won nearly forty million, totaling eighty million. You say compensation—I’d like to hear how you’ll compensate us.”

Black Pockmark grinned, ”Due to our mistake regrettably affecting you both, we’ve decided to offer two million compensation to each.”

”That’s four million?”

”Yes.”

Lin Tian abruptly dropped his smile, slapped Black Pockmark’s face, followed by a kick to his belly, forcing him down. But still not satisfied, he pointed at Black Pockmark and cursed, ”F*ck your pigsh*t! Eighty million for four, your casino schemed well! Think I’m a fool? Why do other machines have no bug, only ours? You looking down on us?”

Due to Lin Tian’s slap and kick, the atmosphere stiffened; Black Pockmark’s group eyed Lin Tian with hostility.

”What the hell are you looking at?” Wu Yong challenged, ”What, your casino wants to hit customers? Come on, I’m right here, won’t retaliate—try touching me!”
