The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 986: Chapter 986: Elders Become Disciples

”Making friends?” Lin Tian said, ”Old man, if I haven’t mistaken, not long ago, we were in a battle to the death. Meeting wouldn’t be as enemies; how did it become friends? You are the esteemed Elder of the Alliance of Noble Families, I’m just an ordinary Golden Core expert, am I even qualified to be your friend?”

”Ah, Lin, that’s not right. To achieve Golden Core mastery before twenty, throughout history, I’ve never heard of such an accomplishment. In this aspect, you are the number one under heaven, making friends with you, it’s actually me reaching out.” The Grand Elder said softly.

Lin Tian raised an eyebrow and asked, ”Old man, could it be that you’re trying to cozy up to me, also wanting a recipe from me to enhance your strength?”

Besides this, Lin Tian couldn’t think of any other reason for this old man to be suddenly so amiable.

”At our level of strength, the recipes that still have use are extremely rare. Lin, giving someone a fish is not as good as teaching them to fish.”

Lin Tian rolled his eyes reluctantly, and impatiently said, ”I’ve already given you recipes, isn’t that enough of teaching you to fish? Old man, you’ve got quite an appetite! Alright, alright, cut to the chase, say it straight, spit it out quickly!”

”Back then, you and I fought till both were wounded, in theory, the losing side was supposed to be you. Alas, the unexpected was too much. The most surprising thing isn’t your advancement to Golden Core, but you can directly absorb Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi into the Sea of Qi. This is unheard of to me, and after recovering from illness, I’ve searched countless ancient books, not a word or half I’ve found, so I invited you here today to consult.”

Lin Tian then realized why the always grumpy old man suddenly became so cordial; it was because of this.

No wonder, their inner strength in the Sea of Qi is converted from Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, slow and troublesome; being able to directly absorb Spiritual Qi is a dream for countless people.

”Well...” Lin Tian pondered for two seconds and said with a smile, ”Just absorb it directly, why need to consult?”

”Uh...” The Sixth Elder sitting nearby was awkward, dryly said, ”Lin, directly absorbing Spiritual Qi into the Sea of Qi would cause the meridians to erupt and lead to death.”

Lin Tian spread his hands, retorted, ”Then why didn’t I explode and die? How about you try it?”

”Cannot! Cannot!” The Sixth Elder waved his hands excitedly, saying, ”It’s a matter of life, not to be attempted lightly.”

Lin Tian snorted lightly and said, ”What’s wrong with that? I just tried, then succeeded?”

”Really?”

”Of course it is. But...” Lin Tian pondered for a moment then said, ”There’s a matching Heart Method called ’Tyrant Emperor’s Record’. Not to mention directly absorbing Spiritual Qi, even doubling cultivation speed is not difficult. Or else why do you think I could reach Golden Core so young?”

The two elders exchanged glances, couldn’t hide their inner shock.

Doubling the cultivation speed, just thinking about it makes one drool.

”Lin, can you tell us the Heart Method, name your terms, as long as we can satisfy you, no hesitation!” The Grand Elder said directly.

Sixth Elder got anxious, wanting to stop the impulsive big brother from not rashly promising conditions. Having known from several encounters, this young man in front is definitely not one to suffer losses.

Unfortunately, words are like water poured out, can’t be taken back.

Lin Tian frowned, looked troubled, thought for a while and said, ”Frankly, in your entire alliance and all noble families, there’s nothing I find interesting. I’m neither greedy for wealth, nor for power, I already have a few lovely known beauties. Honestly, I can’t see anything that might satisfy me.”

Sixth Elder was speechless. Well, this young master’s standards are ridiculously high.

”Passing you the Heart Method is not impossible, but...”

”But what?”

”It’s just this lack of rightful legitimacy, this is my sect’s Heart Method, there’s no reason to pass it out.” Lin Tian suddenly sat up straight, cleared his throat and said, ”Unless, you all become my disciples, enter my sect.”

”This...” The Grand Elder showed a difficult expression, never expecting Lin Tian to propose such a ridiculous demand.

Being so old, bowing to a not yet twenty-year-old boy as a master is utterly laughable.

Seeing the two men showing troubled faces, Lin Tian laughed internally. Got them confused yet? If I can’t kill you, I’ll disgust you!

”Seeing how troubled you both are, forget it. My humble sect wouldn’t accommodate you two big Buddhas.” As he spoke, Lin Tian stood up from the chair, exclaimed, ”Nanqiu, let’s go.”

”Wait... Lin, let’s talk about this.” Sixth Elder chased up, blocked the elaborately carved door and said, ”Don’t you have any other masters? Have some mercy on us, won’t you? You see, me and my big brother, we’re this old, with so many disciples; calling you master? That’s really... unpleasant.”

Lin Tian snorted lightly, disdainfully said, ”You can’t put down your pride, I, Lin, don’t want to accept either. Accepting disciples means teaching Heart Method, then imparting Cultivation Technique; do you think I’m idle? Nanqiu, what are you waiting for? Aren’t you clearing the way for your master yet? Kindly ask Sixth Elder to step aside, let master leave?”

Nanqiu rolled his eyes at this pompous fellow, for one so young, quite pretentious.

Before Nanqiu cleared the way, the Grand Elder also stood up from the chair. Shouted proudly and loudly, ”Good!”

Then, he quickly walked to Lin Tian, gazing at this young man who’s same height but a few generations younger, deeply inhaled and suddenly clasped his fists, raised above his head, bowed and loudly said, ”Master above! Please accept disciple’s bow!”

This sudden turn also made Lin Tian quite unprepared. But thinking about it, that old man’s character is just so straightforward.

Seeing this, Sixth Elder’s face changed unpredictably, ultimately also let go of his pride, clasped fists and bowed to Lin Tian, shouted, ”Master above, please accept disciple’s bow!”

Watching the two bending in front, Lin Tian almost couldn’t hold back laughter. This scene is incredibly gratifying, two elders from the Alliance with Golden Core mastery, just like that they became cheap disciples, this feeling was indescribable.

Lin Tian held back laughter, coughed a couple of times, cleared his throat and asked, ”Are you clear that once you join my sect you can’t regret? Betraying the master and ancestors would result in being struck by five thunders. Do you understand?”

”Understand!” Both remained bent, having joined Lin Tian’s sect, without Lin Tian’s permission they weren’t qualified to stand upright.
