The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 948: Chapter 948: X-Ray Examination

Facing Nan Qiu’s question, Mr. Yee also stood up, saying, ”I’ll go and take a look as well, hoping there might be some new discoveries.”

Mr. Yee is very famous at Kanyue City Medical University and even across the entire Celestial Dragon Continent’s medical community.

There have been many new developments in his research on human bones, and some even say he has the technique to regenerate broken bones. Of course, whether this rumor is true, Mr. Yee has never directly addressed it.

Actually, everyone had already seen Jin Guard’s X-rays and CT scans just now. These images are crucial for examining the bones carefully, yet it was a surprise to Hua Dongxu that Mr. Yee wanted to observe closer.

Soon, Mr. Yee returned. He went to the computer in front and asked Hua Dongxu to retrieve the previous CT scans.

Pointing with infrared at the area near the shoulder on the chest, he said, ”There’s a place not mentioned in the materials before. Here is the lung lobe, which has a bullet embedded in it. Right now, it should be causing intercostal nerve pain, directly related to positional changes, coughing, and deep breathing. Normally, it’s not a major illness for an ordinary person, but combined with such a weak body, it significantly affects breathing. This is urgent, and I recommend the first step to remove this bullet.”

”No!” Hua Dongxu quickly said, ”This bullet is shot too deep, it’s not appropriate for surgery at all.”

”How can one treat the illness without surgery? I know this is very risky, but it must be implemented immediately. This is no small matter!” Mr. Yee said sternly.

”But, the risk...”

”I think not removing it poses a greater risk!” Mr. Yee said, ”Also, it’s best not to use a scalpel on this wound; use tweezers or something similar to take it out.”

Hua Dongxu shook his head, saying, ”Using tweezers? That’s hardly possible, the bullet is too deep and presses on the lung lobe. A single misstep could push the bullet further in. If it were possible, we would have removed it already.”

”I could try.” Mr. Yee said.

Nan Qiu’s knitted brow never relaxed as she listened to their debate, and she asked, ”Mr. Yee, how confident are you?”

”Half.”

”And if it fails, what will the result be?”

Mr. Yee almost said without hesitation, ”It would be worse, potentially leading to more severe breathing difficulties and exacerbating the injury.”

Nan Qiu didn’t understand medicine, but she could understand plain words. She pondered for a few seconds, ultimately undecided, and looked at the doctors present, asking, ”What does everyone think?”

Actually, she wanted more to hear Lin Tian’s answer. Having read his profile and interacted with him, he seemed to be quite capable.

Lin Tian didn’t speak, but Zhao Xuefeng said, ”I think we can try. Although it’s risky, the situation won’t improve without doing so. The patient’s injuries are so severe; it’s hard to intervene. We must find an opening to break through.”

Just as he finished speaking, a dissenting voice was heard. The speaker was Liu Mang. ”I disagree with starting here. I think the most critical injuries on the patient are the toxins and nerve damage. Both are lethal, and compared to the bullet near the lung lobe, the toxins can recur more easily, and the nerves are more fragile, prone to causing paralysis with the slightest mishap.”

”What’s the difference between your words and saying nothing?” Zhao Xuefeng, with disdain, glanced at Liu Mang and said, ”The antidote for toxins is under development, and nerve damage can’t be repaired in a short time. If you want to start with these two, then come up with a reasonable plan first.”

This remark, carrying some anger, showed Zhao Xuefeng was somewhat irritated.

In truth, it’s not really his fault; Liu Mang acted so annoyingly, choosing to oppose right after he spoke, with his reasons being utterly nonsensical.

”Anyway, I disagree with starting with the bullet, it’s too dangerous!” Liu Mang insisted.

”Then how about proposing a suggestion, rather than just talking on paper?”

Nan Qiu slapped the table twice, stopping their argument, and said, ”Let’s set this plan aside for now, and wait until everyone has expressed their opinions.”

She scanned the room again, asking, ”Does anyone else have suggestions?”

At this time, Lin Tian, who had been looking at the medical records, stood up and said, ”I’d like to check the patient’s condition.”

”Alright.” Nan Qiu nodded, then instructed Little Eye to accompany him.

Entering the ward, Lin Tian directly approached Jin Guard’s bed, sat on the chair, and remained still.

”What’s he doing? Diagnosing face-to-face?” Asked a curious ancient doctor wearing glasses in the conference room.

Zhao Xuefeng also didn’t understand what Lin Tian was doing, shaking his head, ”Doesn’t seem like it. We’ll know when he comes out.”

Liu Mang sarcastically sneered again, ”I see this kid is just putting on airs. I can’t understand, with CT and X-ray images right in front, why waste time examining personally? Are you ancient doctors better than those precise machines?”

This remark drew numerous sharp glances. Several ancient doctors were present, and these words were truly offensive.

”What? Am I wrong?” Liu Mang asked without fear. This isn’t Kanyue City Medical University, devoid of students and cameras, leaving Liu Mang unfazed by his old rival Zhao Xuefeng, as always, criticizing ancient doctors relentlessly.

”Truly a naive boy, read more books before coming out to make a fool of yourself. You Western doctors rely on machines, we ancient doctors rely on skill, not inferior to you at all, wonder where your sense of superiority comes from,” remarked an aged ancient doctor, with his age and experience enough to call Liu Mang a naive boy.

Nan Qiu, seated, directed her gaze at Lin Tian in the ward, preferring observation over the noisy dispute, curious about what he intended.

Lin Tian opened his perspective eye, examining Jin Guard’s body, and finally letting out a deep sigh.

At such close range, the perspective eye worked better than X-rays. After this examination, Lin Tian understood Jin Guard’s injuries more clearly; his body had a total of nine bullets.

Nine bullets, surviving is indeed a miracle Lin Tian couldn’t help but marvel at.

As Mr. Yee mentioned, a bullet in Jin Guard’s right chest lung lobe is very dangerous.

Previously uncertain of his capability, Lin Tian now felt confident; this bullet poses no threat as long as it’s not pressured further.

Suddenly, Lin Tian extended his right palm, placing it over the wound on Jin Guard’s right chest.

Wow~

The four doctors observing around widened their eyes, all expressing disbelief.

What’s this kid up to?
