The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 872: Chapter 872: Wiping Away Tears Even in Her Dreams

”Actually, I haven’t done much. Grandfather said that your injury needs rest, and the medicine he prescribed for you was also of the nurturing kind. Later, I felt your condition was improving a bit, so I changed the prescription daily. It really worked; you got better while taking it. How’s that? My medicine is amazing, right?”

Lin Tian rolled his eyes, opened his mouth but didn’t say anything.

After all, hitting a ’novice’ and destroying their confidence isn’t a good thing.

Suddenly, Lin Tian thought of the few classes he attended at Kanyue City Medical University.

In one class, Zhao Xuefeng showed them many cases of failure, including one where a quack gave a ridiculous prescription to a patient with a cold, resulting in a village plagued by a virus, where everyone died miserably.

Zhao Xuefeng once said, ”Do you know why I show you these cases of failure? It’s to help you prevent potential issues and anticipate problems! That way, you can avoid these human tragedies! I hope that if you truly become doctors, you’ll be cautious with every patient and prescription, even the most ordinary cold, and never be negligent! I don’t allow failure!”

This is Zhao Xuefeng’s spirit, and it’s the spirit that medicine should carry on.

In medicine, even minor illnesses should be taken seriously.

Lin Tian sat up against the pillow and asked, ”What prescriptions have you been giving me these days?”

”Why?”

Lin Tian chuckled, ”Your prescriptions are so amazing. Of course, I want to learn them.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Qingtang was very pleased.

This arrogant guy hogged all the spotlight at the last medical summit.

Also, grandfather recorded a lot of sound clips discussing ancient medicine with this guy. He often listens at home, and I followed along a few times. It’s indeed enlightening, like a wake-up call, feeling enlightened.

Now he actually came to consult me. Zhao Qingtang couldn’t be happier.

”Well, listen carefully! Ahem...” Zhao Qingtang cleared her throat and began to speak fluently.

Lin Tian listened quietly. To be honest, Zhao Qingtang’s prescriptions are very practical, even Lin Tian couldn’t find any fault in them.

It seems I underestimated this girl.

When Zhao Qingtang finished, Lin Tian said, ”There’s something wrong.”

”What’s wrong?”

”The dosage is incorrect.”

”How is it incorrect? I tailored it according to your body’s condition.”

Lin Tian said, ”There’s nothing wrong with the prescriptions you’ve given me; they’re quite good. Changing them daily is also very flexible. But you forgot that I recover quickly, drinking medicine morning, noon, and night. The body changed greatly during these times, and the dosage needs to gradually decrease.”

Zhao Qingtang said somewhat defiantly, ”You’re nitpicking! Who does that?”

Ancient medicine and Western medicine are different. Ancient medicine’s concoction brewed in the morning, needs a second brew at noon.

If we follow Lin Tian’s theory, it would be so troublesome, wouldn’t it?

”I’m not nitpicking. Look, Xun Wuzi is a kidney medicine, its other function is diuretic, and the diuretic effect is quite good. When my kidney is mostly healed, this medicine can be omitted, because using the bathroom while lying in bed is inconvenient.”

”As a doctor, you need to be flexible. If you keep your head buried in prescriptions and lack adaptability, where’s the innovation?”

Zhao Qingtang listened silently and didn’t refute.

Ancient medicine also emphasizes light, heavy, slow, urgent, but few can achieve that because it requires meticulous care.

Truly caring for others as a real doctor is easy to say, hard to accomplish.

Lin Tian continued, ”Yesterday’s Thousand Gold Wing Formula prescription was good. It’s a prescription for nurturing the five organs; maybe that’s why I woke up today.”

Hearing this, Zhao Qingtang felt pleased. It was the first time she heard this arrogant guy praise her.

Yet she said, ”Hmph, younger than me, starting to educate me like the old man you learned from my grandfather.”

Lin Tian smiled and said, ”Are you complimenting me or criticizing me?”

”Think for yourself.” Giving Lin Tian a glance, Zhao Qingtang said, ”Oh, right, my grandfather told me, when you wake up, to invite you to solve the new virus from Sakula Country, which is also Mr. Zhang’s idea. Are you interested?”

Lin Tian chuckled bitterly, ”I want to go, but I’m powerless. Look, I have a pile of stuff around me. Even if I want to go, I can’t. How’s the virus resolution going now?”

Zhao Qingtang shook her head, ”Not very successful; the drug harms the human body too much; it’s quite difficult.”

”Since we can’t solve it ourselves, why not shift focus to the people of Sakula Country, since they created this virus. Shifting focus to them might yield results.”

Zhao Qingtang nodded, ”This method seems possible. But I can’t decide, I’ll talk to Mr. Zhang.”

”I also caught several Sakula people, they’re related to this virus. Maybe we’ll find something.”

Lin Tian referred to the people captured at Luoyan Dock by Tian Ming and others, including Bai Wuchang.

Because Lin Tian has been busy lately, he hasn’t had the time to deal with these people. He handed them over to Tian Ming, and who knows what they’ve become now.

”I am only responsible for conveying this matter. The details should be discussed by Mr. Zhang and yourself.”

Lin Tian nodded, also feeling it’s better that way.

Then Lin Tian continued, ”Alright, no more joking around. Where’s my phone? I need to let Shishi and the others know I’m okay.”

Zhao Qingtang smacked her forehead and said, ”Oh, it’s all your fault for pulling me into these mindless discussions. How did I forget this? Hang on, Shishi and Yan are in the next room. I’ll let them know.”

With that, Zhao Qingtang dashed out in a hurry.

Lin Tian watched her silhouette, a slight smile curling his lips. This girl is truly a bookworm.

After a while, Bai Shishi and Mei Ruyan entered the ward in hurried steps.

”Lin Tian, how are you feeling?”

Once they entered, their eyes were reddened. From Lin Tian’s professional perspective, this resulted from sleep deprivation along with excessive sadness.

”I’m feeling pretty good, had a nice sleep, and now I’m full of energy. I could spin you both around.”

Upon hearing this, both women laughed. Bai Shishi wiped the corner of her eye and said, ”Why don’t you ever act properly.”

Lin Tian looked at Mei Ruyan, and asked, ”Why are you crying too?”

”I, I wasn’t crying!” She said stubbornly.

Bai Shishi exposed her, ”It’s hard to believe you weren’t crying, you were wiping your tears even in your dreams!”
