Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

In the endless darkness.

Gu Yuexi glanced around. This space was completely empty, like a starless universe—void and silent.

She could feel herself floating within it, with no up or down, no left or right, no gravity.

The sensation was strikingly similar to the Beast Taming Pouch that Beast Tamers used to store their Contracted Beasts, or perhaps some special storage-type Magical Treasure.

’Did they... capture me?’

Gu Yuexi’s mind raced, the words of those three women still echoing in her ears.

’They said I’m the reincarnation of some Immortal Venerable Shi Xi and that they’re taking me back to their Sect to report?’

’That Sect... where is it?’

’Beyond the starry sky?’

’The Spirit Realm? The Celestial Derivation Sect?’

Countless questions flooded her mind, but she had no time to dwell on them.

Right now, she had to do one thing—the only thing she could do.

Without a moment’s hesitation, she immediately took a special Beast Taming Pouch from her Storage Ring.

Her Mental Power instantly permeated it. Inside the Beast Taming Pouch’s space, the figure of a slumbering Demon Beast slowly emerged.

It was a majestic male lion, its entire body covered in crimson fur, with a pair of folded, flaming wings on its back.

A High-Level Five-Star Bloodline: the Azure Flame Flying Lion.

It was no longer the little cub from before; it had already reached adulthood.

Not a trace of hesitation showed in Gu Yuexi’s eyes. A powerful surge of Mental Power instantly burst forth, enveloping the Azure Flame Flying Lion.

’A second Soul Contract! Establish!’

At this moment, she finally possessed her second Contracted Beast of this lifetime.

And then...

She unhesitatingly severed the Soul Contract with Chu Sheng!

After obtaining a second Contracted Beast, a Beast Tamer could choose to dissolve the contract with their first one.

But this was a taboo method that almost no one would ever use.

Because this dissolution was permanent. Once severed, that contract slot would disappear forever. You would permanently have one less Contracted Beast than a Beast Tamer of the same realm!

Back on Hong Kong Island, when she was poisoned by an assassin from Hell Gate, she thought she was certain to die. To avoid dragging that damn mosquito down with her, she had considered doing this exact thing.

She would use a Secret Technique to force its breakthrough to Fifth-Grade, then form a contract with a second beast, and finally sever her connection to it to save its life.

But that time, it had saved her once again.

”So this time... it’s my turn.”

CRACKLE!

Deep within her soul, it was as if an invisible chain had been brutally snapped!

”PFFT!!”

A sharp pain shot through her, and Gu Yuexi violently spat out a mouthful of blood. Her aura plummeted at a visible rate.

The Qi Blood that the mosquito had been channeling to her through the contract vanished completely in that instant.

Her realm instantly dropped by a large margin, and a wave of weakness washed over her entire body.

But a faint, relieved smile appeared on her face.

”There.”

”This way, even if I die, nothing will happen to you.”

She didn’t know where those three mysterious women were taking her, but from the fragments of information they’d let slip, Gu Yuexi could tell the probability of her returning to Blue Star alive was minuscule.

It was likely a world that completely surpassed her imagination.

Of course, fortune and misfortune are intertwined; this could also be a monumental opportunity.

But Gu Yuexi didn’t dare to gamble, nor could she afford to.

This journey was, more than likely, one of near-certain death.

Severing the contract early to save that damn mosquito’s life could be considered... fulfilling her final responsibility as a Beast Tamer.

’Actually... it seems like he doesn’t really need a Beast Tamer like me anyway...’

’He can go far, very far, all on his own.’

’Most of the time, I’m probably just a burden to him...’

Gu Yuexi murmured to herself, her expression somewhat desolate.

”He’s been trying desperately to get rid of me from the very beginning anyway. Now his wish has finally come true. He should be... very happy, right...?”

After she finished speaking, she stared blankly for a long time, her eyes lifeless. When she once again perceived the lion she had just contracted inside the Beast Taming Pouch, a complex look of reminiscence appeared in her eyes.

She had actually been raising this lion all along.

Initially, she had indeed planned to raise it as her second Contracted Beast, figuring she had to find a way to make it evolve three times and reach at least an Emperor-level Bloodline to be worthy of her.

But... for too many reasons, she never ended up contracting a second one.

On one hand, her cultivation focus had long since shifted to the path of a Spiritual Mind Master. The identity of a Beast Tamer was, for her, now just a title in name only. Contracting another burden didn’t make much sense.

On the other hand...

By the time the mosquito advanced to Fifth-Grade and she was finally able to contract a second beast, her trip to Hong Kong Island was already over.

During that period, the damn mosquito’s Mental Power grew at a terrifying rate. She felt an unprecedented sense of crisis, terrified that it would betray and devour its master after its Mental Power surpassed her own.

Back then, her mind was completely occupied with how to frantically increase her Mental Power and keep it under firm control. How could she have had the mind to raise a second Contracted Beast?

Although now, its Mental Power had long since far surpassed her own, reaching the King-level, and the whole ”devouring its master” thing never happened...

At this thought, the corners of Gu Yuexi’s mouth inexplicably turned up in a slight smile.

Recalling those scenes from Hong Kong Island, one person and one mosquito, constantly at odds and frantically competing to raise their Mental Power, was actually quite amusing in hindsight.

Later, they went to the Capital City together, to the White Eagle Empire, to so many Secret Realms...

”I’m actually glad I met you.”

”I hope... we can meet again.”

...

「In the Witch Ancestral Land, silence reigned.」

Yao and the other Witch Race People stared at each other, their faces a mixture of relief at having survived the ordeal and endless confusion and bewilderment about what had just happened.

Chu Sheng stared blankly for a long time at the sky where the spatial rift had sealed itself.

An unprecedented sense of powerlessness enveloped his entire being.

Suddenly, something in his mind went *SNAP*, as if something had completely broken.

[Ding! It has been detected that your Beast Tamer has contracted a second Contracted Beast and has voluntarily and peacefully dissolved the Soul Contract with you!]

Chu Sheng: ”...”

[Ding! The Qi Blood you previously channeled to your Beast Tamer as a Contracted Beast will be returned in full!]

[Qi Blood +830,000!]

[Current Host Qi Blood Value: 19,830,000 (King Realm Early Stage)]

[Congratulations, Host! Your long-held goal of regaining your freedom has finally been achieved!]

Chu Sheng: ”...”

’Go fuck yourself.’

’Is this stupid fucking system missing a brain?’

’She... where did she get a second Contracted Beast? Could it be that lion?’

’She actually kept it all this time? I thought she would’ve killed it for its Essence Blood long ago...’

He had even wanted to take that little lion in as a subordinate back then.

Later, he grew so fast that he looked down on the little thing and planned to have Gu Yuexi kill it so he could absorb its blood.

But that woman refused.

Chu Sheng had mocked her at the time, saying, ”You’re not cultivating that blood-sucking Evil Technique anymore, and you don’t have time to raise a second Contracted Beast. What are you keeping it for? To lay eggs?”

She ignored Chu Sheng at the time, but she simply wouldn’t give it up.

”So, she kept it all this time... just to use it in a moment like this?”

”...”

”The Spirit Realm... the Celestial Derivation Sect...”

”Heh, what a joke. To think there are actually villains who fucking announce their own names and affiliations...”

”And that stupid bitch in the green dress, you don’t really fucking think you’re cute, do you?”

”I’ll fuck your mothers...”

Chu Sheng cursed relentlessly in his mind, suppressing an unprecedented rage and killing intent.

He slowly flew up, his gaze sweeping over the surviving members of the Witch Race as a cold Soul Power transmission sounded directly in each of their minds.

”Those three women, do you know them? What is this Spirit Realm? Does anyone know?”

The crowd remained silent, exchanging glances with a hint of fear in their eyes.

This mosquito was only King-level, but the power he had wielded to control the entire world just now was real.

Perhaps, just as the woman in gold had said, he had already... become the master of this Ancestral Land?

But... this was their Witch Ancestral Land!

One of the more hot-tempered patriarchs finally couldn’t hold back any longer. He stepped forward and, steeling himself, spoke up:

”Um... you’re a Mosquito Beast of an outside race. How can you become the master of our Witch Ancestral Land? It’s not appropriate, and we will not agree to it. Your deal with the Holy Daughter was only to save us, and then...”

He hadn’t even finished his sentence.

Chu Sheng just flapped his wings lightly.

SPLAT!

An invisible, immense force appeared out of nowhere. The patriarch who had spoken didn’t even have a chance to react before his entire body instantly exploded into a bloody mist.
